I seriously wanted to know. I know nothing about paving streets. Seemed weird as shit that they just paved this soi and it is already full of holes again. Makes perfect sense though. You need to go work for them. Ridiculous for them to waste money and time like that, but it seems to be the Thai way. It was a smooth ride while it lasted.

It isn't just the Thai way? Corruption is everywhere not only in Thailand but here the philosophy is maybe not to finish the job or do it right? Doing so would mean no money coming into their departments meaning no skimming off the project. When the airport opened in the beginning they had to do many of the ground area where the planes parked because the cement used was below grade so the weight of the aircraft causes the ground to sink.

On the Darkside, many of the roads are finished on time, they seem intentionally rip roads up during the winter, that enable them to leave the project unfinished for months because they skimmed off the top so it can't be finished then they budget again to continue the paving but leave with the drains unfinished for several more months etc etc.

You see all the work done on Pattaya Nua, from Sukhumvit to the Dolphin circle where Terminal 21 is located now they just allocated 70 million to do a study for the skytrain system which they want to come from Sukhumvit down Pattaya Nua to Beach road means everything they did got to be ripped up again?

Several years ago they took money 120 million from the Outdoor stadium where we played Softball so they can create another lanes for Beach Road the reason today the Stadium is still unfinished. Lots of money people getting rich by not doing it right the first time.

Simple I will explain it to you although I think you already know a bit of sarcasm on your part so I hope I can answer for others.

There are no drains on the Soi and most likely never will be due to cost and even if they overlook the cost and put them in when it rains where will the water actually go has anyone seen or even heard of a reservoir in Pattaya area. When it rains on that particular Soi there is nowhere for the water to go. All they did this time was rake the old material off and lay down the same porous composite throughout the Soi from 3rd Road to Soi Baukhao. Their engineer solution on each side of the Soi where there are shops they try to roll it up as close as possible to the entrance.

When it rains and the water level rises it sips under the new road composite which is just dirt, the dirt becomes saturated turns to mud thus causing the new composite to move and breakdown. Thus after two prior large rain storm today there are more and more potholes. Showing up again.

One can also say it wasn't the rain but the shop owners particularly all the massage places that didn't like how smooth the road had becomes which allowed bike and cars to travel faster so late at night the ho's came out and hammer the road and recreated the holes so customers would slow down and pay more attention to the ho's. Thai speedbump?

Stay away from the big soapy massage places (Honey, Sabai Room, Sabai Dee and Rasputin), none of them are very good and they are all overpriced. Then you probably weren't doing good E or coke, it's not called "coke dick" for nothing. Also, from personal experience, E + coke negate each other (could also have been the K), and I took 50 MG of Viagra to try to get long enough stiffy but failed (it was fun trying!
