To be honest with you I never realized it could also be short for prostitute. Nevertheless I have the feeling that most people here use / read it as an abbreviation for professional, meaning a girl who's only job is selling her body to make a living.

So in this case it has nothing to do with being highly educated. Unfortunately because some of them could use a little education.

In Asia, true. In USA, semi-pro is another term for a truck-stop girl. Sometimes instead refers to a woman who more closely resembles a tractor-trailer than a pickup.

I agree it usually means professional but not always. It can and is commonly used as slang when referring to a prostitute. As I mentioned in an earlier post I dislike the term prostitute and other derogatory descriptions when referring to what I prefer to call working girls which I realize makes no sense as a title for what they do. It just sounds more respectful.

It is the first time that I make a post on this forum but I've already been following the posts from Pattaya for a couple of months. First I want to apologise if there are some typo's in my text because my English isn't very good.

On the 1st of October, me and a friend are going to Thailand for the first time. First we are going to the Phi Phi Islands and then (finally) to Pattaya. Because of all the posts on this forum I have a general idea of what I want to go visit in Pattaya.

First of all, I am really looking forward to soi 6. I'll probably visit soi 6 every day (I am staying for 8 days in Pattaya). I will do ST but am hoping that some girls also want to do LT when their shift has ended (around 2 AM). My main plan is to take a girl for LT so that I have a 'shot' in the evening and one in the morning (maybe a shot extra in the evening if I pay extra). Soi 6 in general sounds like the best place for me. I am almost thirty but aren't really good with women. I am social but aren't a great talker with girls / women my age. So this will be a good opportunity to practice.

Except soi 6, I am also looking at taking some girls from BR to my hotel for LT. I've read somewhere that these girls mostly don't wonna do LT so I can settle for ST in the evening and around noon I can go to soi 6. I'll just have to wait and see. I've also read that the girls from BR may lower the prices after 2 AM because then the possibility will lower that they can find another customer. I am willing to pay around 800-1300 for ST and 2000-2500 for LT. For an extra shot I am willing to pay 500. FYI, these prices I am willing to pay for girls from soi 6 and BR..

If your budget is limited you should check out the night clubs / discos on Walking Street like iBar, Insomnia, Marine, 808, Flexx, Lucifer, Pier etc. These are all total hooker-discos, meaning that at least 80-90% of all the girls in them are actually freelancers looking for business. Also many gogo girls frequent these places, after their bars have closed around 3 am and after. Soi 6 girls appear even earlier. Most girls here will go with you for 1,000 Baht (and that's usually for LT). Some of the youngest and hottest girls will ask for 2,000 Baht or so but that's negotiable of course, depending on your age, look and style. You will probably get the price down a little if you party with them first and if you are fun company.

Non-pros, on the other hand, are part-timers who might have sex for money occasionally (or even somewhat regularly), but tend to have a regular job or study. Some might even pretend not to be prostitutes and not see themselves as such, but would still go out and take money for sex at the end of the night.

As I see it, a woman who is not part of the scene at all, who is never available on short notice for a price, is a "civilian", not a "non-pro".

In a P4 P context I would associate "pro" as shorthand for professional, but I am sure there are different regional connotations. Bottom line is she has sex for money. And in any case it is a slang phrase meant to be taken figuratively, not literally.

I keep pretty good records each trip as well but never broke it down this way.

You can record it however you want! My method is hardly ideal, but it works for me.

Yes. However, I count that second time as a repeat. This way I can keep track of the total number of different women I have had intercourse with.

There were no such encounters, so they were not included at all. I suppose I would include the costs if / when it happens.

If the Gentleman's Club concept interests you then Kinnaree Place or Passion in the Jomtien area might be of interest. Both a bit awkward to get to without a mototaxi or Grab (walk is doable in 10 or 15 minutes from bahtbus too) but worth a look as daytime options. I've only been to each once so far, but when I went the choices were interesting enough for me to stay and enjoy myself. I will be back.

And the facilities and decor are much nicer too. Rooms are on site also.

As soon as I walked in, I realized my mistake but I could not extricate myself that easily as my taxi had already departed and found myself standing there thinking Oops! However, this girl seemed cute enough who was standing nearby but she really wasn't that into it, though that same attitude can manifest itself in any club. Good thing she was available as everyone else there was completely unacceptable. Also, I really don't know one club from the other in Pattaya. I do like Red Car and actually have had success there in the past but the damn music is so loud in there as with the gogo's, I find it quite bothersome. I found the best aspect was the Toe was very quiet. Of course, it was virtually empty. I woUld been off for a daytime assignation at the Tahitian Queen in retrospect.

You may remember my posts from a few years ago as I almost exclusively patronized Bangkok Beat and wrote several reports about it. I still to this day have never taken a girl from a go-go in Bangkok as I don't like the strictly transactional aspect of talking to girls in there, the bar fine, dealing with mamasan etc. Now that the Beat is gone, I am having trouble finding a suitable replacement.

I was a very patient fellow in my Bangkok Beat days and waited it out until someone up to my standards appeared. On several occasions, I went home empty handed but had some great experiences there as well.

But I have to admit that I am a little puzzled as to why you chose Camel Toe for your 1st auspicious return to the fold. Camel Toe is certainly a colorful honky tonk, but I would have chosen an upscale place like Infinity, Sensations, or What's Up to celebrate such a significant event. Nevertheless, You're back after a long an arduous journey that many do not survive. And that is truly great news and something to celebrate.
