Haven't tried the Mexican food because I like refried (pinto) beans with Mexican food and they only serve black beans, which I don't like. But I tried a burger there and it was good. Cheesrburger, added guacamole, with fries and a drink (Coke Zero) came to a bit over 600 baht after ++ was added, if that gives you an idea about the price level.

possibly true but definitely not always the case. Went with a girl at hotel classic in Jakarta because she was super nice to me. Far less pretty than any other girl I went with in Jakarta but still would be top 5 percent on soi 6. Yes, Tequila Reef Restaurant on Soi 7, a short walk from Beach Rd. You see the link for it in the previous post. It has been a couple of years since I ate there but remember it being pretty good. I would go back again if I were in Pattaya and craving Mexican food.

I think you are referring to the Tequila Reef Restaurant.

Actually there are 2 Tequila Reefs. One is in AC, Philippines just off Fields and the 2nd is the Pattaya one. They are both owned by the same friendly guy. I have never eaten at the Pataya branch which is a testament to the fact that Philippine cuisine is vastly inferior to Thai cuisine, but I eat at the AC branch all the time. Try the Fajitas or the Burrito plates and chase the food with a cold Mexican beer.

I came into Don Mueang last night from Manila. Since I don't know the DMK-Pattaya taxi ropes too well (usually I would just go outside to bargain one), the night before I decided to hit my taxi guy up on Line with my flight info. He said it would be 1300 (tolls included) to Pattaya and sent me the driver's picture, picture of the car, license plates, and phone number. But of course the driver was waiting for me with a sign when I came out of Customs. He also ran the meter the entire way. It read 1619 baht when we arrived at my place.

P. S. When I arrived at DMK, a taxi tout did approach me with a price of 1800. I told him I only paid 1300. He thought that I was offering that much to him and sent another guy to get his car. Then he said make it 1400 since it is my birthday. Point is, don't pay more than 1300 from DMK to Pattaya. I know some guys are getting ripped for more than that from Swampy to Pattaya though.

No choice but to judge. That place looks like a dingy dungeon. Reminds me of the house on the Munsters. Why not stay at a modern comfortable place without all the roaches and cats? How could anyone say if they wanted to meet up if you didn't mention when you are coming?
