Pattaya is not usually hot at 2 am in the morning when iBar gets going, especially closer to high season.

When girl goes to work and dances around naked on a stage; trying to find a dirty old man to take her home for the night, I don't think she is overly concerned with his clothes. More importantly that you're clean and don't look or smell offensive.

Who cares what you see people wearing on youtube. You also see youtube videos of guys dressed like that getting the crap beat out of them, so that is no indicator of class or brains. Lightweight Chinos are cooler than jeans and look nicer, while being less bulky when you pack.

Nice light shirts, get the thinnest material you can and stay away from those knit polos, no matter how nice they look. Old Navy is good for that, because its cheap fabric but it looks stylish, and that cheap fabric is the thinnest. Trust me on this one as I did this last fall.

Use talc or baby powder around your privates and other sweaty places. It works. Just dust yourself with it generously after you shower and before you get dressed and go out.

Would that guy still be barred from some clubs with exactly that outfit? Or is it mainly the wife beater / flip-flop combination that is the problem here?

I only ask because I've watched tons of YouTube videos of Walking Street and there are tons and tons of guys wearing essentially something like that in the evening. Ok, not all, but many wear something like that or even less nice than that outfit. I was hoping to not have to pack a bunch of jeans in my suitcase.

When I'm in the USA, gas costs $3. 15 a gallon for super unleaded. If they tell me THEY want $10.00 a gallon, I will go to another place (woman). I'm not paying that price. Period!

When I am in the US, the equivalent of that 5000 baht Thai stunner will cost me 5 to 10 times as much!

OK now I understand where you are coming from. Prices are not the same for us who reside in Pattaya. However, I don't post about the numerous freebies or going out with a top gogo girl for the amount of her barfine or maybe 1000 baht to her mainly because it's not applicable to the average tourist reader on this site. I also consider it to be a form of bragging. It is true when you become a known face who has a good reputation there are many perks with the girls.

That is usually what I wear. For some reason once in 808 the bouncer at the door would not let me in with flip flops. I showed him my Thai license and told him that I come all the time. I even threw the owner's name out at him. He still would not let me in though.

Now you are finally making an important distinction between guys like you who are living there and vacation guys who are only there for a few weeks or even a few days.
Not mentioning this distinction is often blurring this discussion because the vacation guys (the majority on this board) might think it should be able for them too to get the top agogo girls for a much lower price.
