I read Viper Bar, the old Sapphire Lodge, got raided a couple weeks ago and they found nothing. Now I hear they're shut down for 5 years. LOL. Same thing happened to me my second time in Pattaya. I met a chick online who worked in an internet cafe. She told me it was Jomtien Soi 5. I didn't know what a Jomtien was then, but I knew I was staying on Soi 8. So I walked toward Soi 7 and kept walking. And kept walking. Then I was like fuck this. Don't remember how I eventually found out that Jomtien was another part of town. Maybe the hotel reception told me. And I ended up taking a motorbike taxi there only to find out the girl was on vacation and had gone back home. We did end up getting together on my next trip though.

In your case, Soi 3 is not far from Soi 6. I think it is at the corner where the Sabai Soapy Massage is.

I did get a taxi with AC to take me to the Santuary of Truth earlier today, wait for me and come back for 600 Baht, so I'm thinking even if Soi 3 is pretty far up from Soi 6 I should be fine getting there soon enough. In my first few days, until this afternoon, all my travels had been exclusively in the direction of Walking Street and I stayed out until 7 am on 3 consecutive nights! LOL.

Tonight, I will spend some decent time, at least 1. 5 hours each at Mixx and 808, and I'll let you know how I do.

Soi 3 later this week. Also, need to check out the other Sois between VT 6 and Soi 6. BTW, I finally figured out where I stayed on my last visit in 2002! It was at the Dusit Thani for just 2 nights and I remember in those days having found a nice girl I took LT from one of the beer bars on Naklau road (seems like most of those bars are now gone) and another Go Go place, but still have not figured out which one. Not cheap for Thailand, especially in Pattaya. As discussed many times: you can't take your home market VFM prices and transfer them here. Different market, different pricing scale. If you overpay the girls will not see you as generous; they will perceive you as a chump farang and a potential mark who is unfamiliar with the local scene.

Pattaya Trip Report, Take 2 Day 2.

Got up, collected my dirty clothes from Phuket and took them to my favorite spot on Soi 13/1, Porn Laundry. It was freaking hot at 10:30 in the sun. Went on down and over to Bay Watch for a real breakfast. On the way back to my hotel I got solicited by an older lady. No thanks. Worked on yesterdays' report and did some work, then it was time for Soi 6.

Went to Soi 6 at about 3 PM. There was the usual afternoon traffic backup on 2nd road. The weather is nice at least now. Cloudy and cooler, and it looks like it is raining to the Northwest. I plan to simply walk down Soi 6 until I find a reasonably attractive woman and not be too worried about not getting the best one and walking back and forth in a vain attempt to find her. So, I start walking and it seems the quality is a bit higher this time. I get about halfway down and I see a spinner with long hair with a nice face and smile at Smoke and Mirror, I believe it is. I go to her, and she seems almost surprised. But she is happy and takes my had to go inside. Her name is Ploy. 2. Re throwing up, I just did not think she was that drunk. And if indeed she was to a point where she would need to throw up, it would be a huge turn off for me and it would have resulted in zero action on my part in bed. So, given that, maybe if she was indeed going to throw up, her leaving was probably best for both of us. If those written principles are so important to you, why not rebalanced your own approach? 7 am in the morning won't get you a sober girl which is not throwing up. You may find out a better time by yourself.

BTW, for those newbies like me, Soi Diana has some decent accomdations with a good location. Such as LK Renaissance, Areca Lodge and a couple others (just seeing the view from the outside and many bars and LK Metro nearby). Whitehouse Condotel (mentioned by some here looked quite poor from the street and I'm glad I never gave that much time. Bay View Hotel looks great as well and anyone wanting a hotel may want to consider that. However, no Pattaya beach view. So, I think I made the right decision with View Talay 6, beach view balcony and really nice apt and service from DanceWatchers. Having Central Festival mall right next door also a huge plus, and being on 2nd road, of course, and around the corner from the Hilton.

Maybe I'll see you both (Old New Guy and Uncle V) around later. In Walking Street? Won't be checking here until late afternoon.

Just back from another night on the prowl. Engaged a slim looker at the Red Car, the sophisticated type with good English and silicone.
