You better guess again if you think you aren't getting sloppy seconds. That girl you took at 11 pm or 12 am probably already went for a ST. They go in early (about 7 or 8) and can easily do a short time before you even got there. Secondly, who ever took her last night enjoyed her again in the afternoon before sending her home. So she just got boned a few hours before. So she was already plowed through. Lastly, guys like me already got her number and had her come over before work. I like to have them come before they go to work (avoiding the high ass bar fine) and bone them. Then I send her away already wet. So again, already sloppy. If you think you are getting them fresh, in addition to paying huge bar fines, might want to rethink that one.

So when she comes to you before she goes to work the guy who took her last night enjoyed her again that same afternoon.... LOL!

Good luck with that. Thai are experts in profiling, be it your ethnicity or your social status. It comes as second nature to them.

Getting a hair cut is not going to change that very much.

The best our Indian brethren can hope for is to be identified as Indians (little chance to avoid that) of "upper class" of "Hi so" by not running around in boisterous packs, being clean and wearing nice clothes.

Don't look like a beaten dog, but look the doorman right in the eye, smile and pose as the esteemed guest of the Club you indeed are, whereas the doorman is only an employee, appointed to keep the riff-raff out and open the door for you.

Walking 5 times past the door, furtively looking out of the corner of your eyes and then hesitating to go in, will surely not be your best approach.

They may charge you a drink to allow you in, just accept it gracefully as you were going to order a drink anyhow. It even happened to me once in Baccara in Soi Cowboy when I went there with my GF. They sold us a drink before we could go in as quite right they assumed I was not visiting them to barfine another girl. Strangely enough, Suzi Wong allowed us in without any fuzz, but then again Suzi Wong is my favorite agogo club.

Yes I agree, being confident is key to getting in, if we look shabby and act jumpy I am sure the doorman will think that we are up to no good and deny entry, they will also restrict entry to people who they think are not going to spend money and just take up space in the club, I intend to spend money and have a good time at the clubs, if I have to I don't mind tipping the doorman either.

And I also agree with the point that they may charge me for the drink, as it is who is going to go in a club and not have a drink?

Like LBM said, try to blend in. What's the first thing people spot to identify someone as coming from India? I'd have to say the unwashed long greasy hair is the first thing that comes to mind. If its hot and humid, westerners shave off most of their hair (either a buzz cut or by going bald). I've met younger Indians at home in the states who had buzz cuts and they blended in completely. A buzz cut and a baseball cap are the way to go. All depends on what lengths you and your buddy will go to get into these clubs. Try it first your way, saying you'll buy a bottle. Try it by trying to dress like a westerner. If that fails there are tons of barber shops that will give you a buzz cut in Pattaya. I use them every trip.

Sounds as if I am going on some clandestine mission. Most of the time I wear smart casuals (chinos and a polo t-shirt) and under no circumstances do I have oil in my hair, the modern Indian youngster has changed a lot and we have moved away from the typical Indian some people have in mind, though there are some outliers. I shall try all mentioned tactics and report back with which one worked.

This is some handy advice Little Big Man, but it is absolutely not fail proof! I know because I dress in exactly the manner that you suggest when mongering, and I have been denied entry to three bars in Thailand. Two in Bangkok and one in Pattaya (wasn't Happy Go-Go where I was welcomed with open arms). Probably because they thought I was Indian. I will be writing about these experiences in detail a little later. Look for the post to come. And remember that I was dressed as you recommend.

I be crazy to disagree, Clothing is only a small %, one can't change how you facially look or speak and how you rap back to the doorman. Next up is getting a greenback out and ready if the first doesn't work 100 baht,, just like home. I've never had a problem going anywhere or rejected in Thailand including the Temples with my general Nike shorts, Golf type shirts or sports shoes. Of course I do not have greasy hair, smell. Personally I do not believe in going too far just to go in? Now if you want to throw them off, up the ante, get yourself a suit and a tie, or even a tuxudo with top hat and cane, now if that doesn't do it I just settle for Hamburger the rest of my trip and get a room at Soi 6, or Soi Honey. If your timing is right you might want to hookup with some of the Expats Go Go bar and go go crawls. I been to a few and once in a while there is someone Indian and I've haven't notice them not being denied entry?

I like having something set up for early afternoons if possible. Then I'll venture out around 4 pm looking for something suitable. I'll then try out a short time girl somewhere from a gogo or a beer bar early in the evening. I'll then party on, maybe run into something worth taking for another round or look for something LT. I do like the atmosphere of the clubs and like to get out, try to bring a ST girl along and turn it into LT. What worked great for me last trip was finding girls who would come over after work and stay the night, let me sample here and there while knowing I had dinner planned for later.

Of course, the catch is that you then have to wait until 2 or 3 AM before they leave their bars or agogo-clubs. By that time I'm already long satisfied and asleep with a cute SYT in my arms. And which girls are available at that hour? Indeed, those who failed to get chosen for LT or girls who did a few ST already. Speaking of "sloppy seconds".

You can get lucky of course and your choice is certainly still out there ... somewhere, but I find it tedious to still hunt at that hour and spend my time in noisy disco's.

But wouldn't going to that extreme confound the door guys just a bit? How many bald headed Indians might they have seen on the job? My guess is none. It would work much better than wearing a nike shirt. Another thing to consider is trying to enter separately, one might make it in whereas two will be denied. The other guy has to try another bar on his own.

I am planning a trip to LOS in Mid Feb with one of my best friends and thought it would be a good idea to get a good 4* Hotel with a suite with 2 attached rooms and a common hall.

Do anyone have an idea about any such hotels or service apartments? I was thinking of booking somewhere close to where all the action is.

And while we are on the subject, wrong choice to be looking for what's basically 'one room'. A girl will freak out if you bring her back and your buddy is sitting in the main area or she see's another door that's closed. You might even consider staying in hotels next to each other instead of the same hotel, if one of you manages to get a girl back to the room she might ask how many guys are with you to the receptionist.

I would agree wholeheartedly. Try doing a slow stroll down Cowboy wearing a wife beater, shorts, and flip-flops. Then, a week or so later do the same slow stroll dressed in business casual and note the difference in how well you are received.

If a tuk tuk or taxi takes you to his choice of massage parlor, he gets a commission. You will have to negotiate with the driver to give you a free ride (easily done). You probably can even negotiate so that he pays you a kickback. But as written previously, you will pay more overall.

Yes. I've never seen people trying to haggle down the bar fine. Wondering if some places will accept. But IMO this might give you a bad cheap reputation.

Many / most hotels in Pattaya will not have a joiner fee for 1 guest. Many will have a joiner fee if you bring in more than 1 girl (I hate this policy!) Some (not many) hotels do not want this type of business and will apply a joiner fee for the first girl. You need to find out. There is a site that lists the girl friendly hotels, or ask the hotel.

1) Yeah a friend was telling me that if we take a tuk tuk or a taxi to a place of our choice sometimes the driver is given a commission of around 100 Baht, so he doesn't need to take money from the passengers. I was just trying to confirm what my friend was saying.

2) I was just trying to know how things work over there, so as to not come across as a cheaper. Being an Indian I need to be more careful, I don't want to tarnish our already bad reputation any further.

3) I will be sure to confirm with the hotel before booking my room.

As noted in the past, I do not think in general any of the Indians we are talking about will be on this board. The one's here I think I can safely say are more educated. More well manner and have been living or working outside of Indian etc. To be more in tune with many of the western ways like in dressing. I'm somewhat of a people watcher when I go down to W. S. And like to stand outside the Walkway that leads to Happy Gogo, one can learn a lot just standing and watching. I do not have the exact words to describe the profile we have of Indians and how they dress and walk around in groups. I've seen a number of them go the path to Happy and then a minute of so later they are walking back down. The Thais general profile and when they come down in small groups (3-5) along with their style of dress the majority of the time they get turn away at the more popular venues. If you do not know what I am talking about just stand in one place long enough to watch. I stand around that area because in general many of these Indians stay around the small Soi just across from Lucifers P72, up to 2nd Road, and back of W. S. A area called Marine. Up from Marine Soi 17? Along V. See Hotel these Soi is know where many Mid-Eastern stay. I believe the more Western dress you are the greater chance you will be able to get in. A simple item is like a Ball cap for example with a Niki logo, shirt, shorts, as I noted Thais do a lot of profiling..

I am a people watcher too and I too like to observe people when they think nobody is watching them, as they say you are your true self when no one is watching you.

I can agree with you on all the points you mentioned. I understand that there is an acceptable dressing sense one needs follow while going to a club, and I follow that when I go to any club be it in India, UK or Dubai. I will report back with how things go when I am there.

If you do not believe me as you approach a place and the door man spots and check out his body language he will be giving you the head toe number if he is not sure. I personally get this theory because I can be mistaken for Thai, but I get this head toe number because I'm always in shorts with sports shoes like Nike, etc. Then they assume I'm Japanese or Korean. Instead of bottle service and overpaying for drinks and such invest in some western wear or a cap?

Yeah, its kind of sad that a few have spoilt it for the rest of us, and because of these few most of the others who have come to have a good time are the ones who have to pay the price of it. I have heard a lot about how Indians are behaving over there and creating a bad image for the lot of us. Oh well what can you do?

I have made a list of places to visit and Go Go's are on the list too, I will add your suggestions to it as well.

Many / most hotels in Pattaya will not have a joiner fee for 1 guest. Many will have a joiner fee if you bring in more than 1 girl (I hate this policy!) Some (not many) hotels do not want this type of business and will apply a joiner fee for the first girl. You need to find out. There is a site that lists the girl friendly hotels, or ask the hotel.
