I was just reading the report about visit during 'songkran'. I've also seen some videos of soi6-7 during sogkran on youtube. I'm planing to visit pats in the last week of March or first week of April'16 and in either case I'm leaving before April 10th. So that there won't be any problem.

Also, I am coming there with a friend who is visiting Thailand for the first time. So we are planning to go for a city and temple tour of Bangkok in one day.

Actually our departure flight we'll be at 2115 hrs from BKK. So we are planning to hire a cab / take a bus from pattaya which will take us to famous 3 temples, Royal Palace, Emerald Buddha, Vimanmek Royal Mansion (I know the list is long but certainly possible) and will leave us at BKK around 1730 hrs.

In short we need a ride for two from pattaya at 8-9 am which will show us above places and leave us at BKK by 5. 30-6 pm.

Does anyone know any such travel operator? Any idea of rental car tarrif? Preferrably honda city or corrola.

I did a currency conversion and that figure she agreed to is probably not random. 3500 is just shy of $100 at the currency market rates. For the regular guy, who doesn't get that favorable rate, that conversion would likely be over a $100 - maybe closer to 100 Euros? The only time of year you might wish to avoid is around "Songkhran", the Thai New Year. Some girls will go to visit their family (but again, there will be more than enough still in Pattaya and Bangkok), but most that stay will just party and throw water around. That period of year will be bad for mongering, but fun for participating in the festivities.

I agree 100% with you, Songkran is the worst time of the year for Pattaya. Been there once and never ever will go again in Pattaya for Songkran.

You want visit too many place for 1 week only. Save your time, avoid Koh Samui and enjoy BKK and PTY.

The small seasonal differences are nothing to get worried about.

When I said Russian club, I meant the ones such as Galaxy that showcase the Russian girls on Walking Street in Pattaya; not clubs that are in Russia.
