Isn't the whole point of going to the disco sort of eliminating the business part of the pick up. Makes it feel more natural. You go to a club you pick up a girl you dance the night away, bump, grind and maybe more for a bit then go to your room. Personally the reason I hit the I bar or insomnia is to dance and have fun, ultimately get laid.

That's why I don't mind buying drinks because your having fun and you want the girl or your friends if your not solo to have fun.

The way I see it if this approach is your style maybe the bars would be better? Purely business and money based?

I'm not trying to hit on your strategy, I just feel that your missing out IF and only IF discos / clubs are a Point of interest to you.

I agree with a good deal of what you say my friend.

But I can also see the rationale behind Mr. E's approach too. FLs at I-bar (and similar establishments) are prettier than beer bar or BR girls. And, on average, they charge less than the top GoGo girls -- though they are just as pretty.

That said I too like to play with illusions and do my fair share of bumping, grinding and making out at the club before taking them home.

This is exactly how the discos work. I don't know why many mongers have the idea that they must buy drinks and such for a girl and her friends. Many times I wake up in the middle of the night, head to a disco, go up to any random girl and say "Let's go." None of all that interviewing and feeling the girl out stuff that mongers talk about. Sometimes chicks are just out to party and will not go with you, but 9 times out of 10 they will either 1 get their purse and come with you asking no questions, or 2 say how much you give me. It only gets simpler if you are picking them out of a fishbowl.

To my surprise last week I did two kamikaze runs during the peak times and came out successful both times. On two different occasions I tried to get the attention of what I thought was the hottest girl in the place and each time they total ignored me. I figured what the hell Ill just walk up to their table and try to talk to them if they ignore me or cold shoulder me Ill just leave. On both occasions it wasn't the warmest reception but they didn't total cold shoulder me and try to get rid of me. Tried to make conversation but headway was slow so after about two or three minutes I just popped the question "do you want to leave with me" response both times was how much will you give me. We settled on two and off we went.

How did it go once you got to the room? Did they give good service? Was it GFE? My only concerns with this direct approach is that I use the initial "interview" to see whether or not there is chemistry. The view times I have had bad service was when I skied this step. Though I've also had a very good time with girls that I just took on the fly (but this was mostly from BR where you don't have a lot of time to interview and girls are a bit more direct).

Call me a sucker, but I like the flirting, buildup, and illusion that she's into you. For me that's half the fun. I'll be in town for a month next trip, so I'll have more time to experiment. I will give your and Mr E's "kamikaze method" a try one night when things aren't going well with my usual approach.

I am really looking forward to going back there in low season. It was just too crowded with dudes in December/January.

I read a while back that the freelancers on Beach Road (aka the Coconut Bar) are girls who aren't allowed on Walking Street.

"Not allowed on Walking Street"? I wasn't aware of any Walking Street ban for anyone. More likely that the "Coconut Bar"-girls don't feel comfortable in Walking Street (too many non-mongering tourists; not beautiful enough to compete with the agogo-dancers; no place to sit; . . .).

I suppose I missed it but during my first visit to Pattaya I didn't see anything of interest at the "coconut bar". The general quality of the women was NOT good. Why go there with so many beer bars around? Is there a good time to walk it to find 7s and 8s?

You can find cheap girls there. Cheaper than beer bar. I always had my best luck between 6&9 pm. Although I don't go there much anymore. Sometimes you can find a hottie.

"Coconut Bar" is the pedestrian area of Beach Road. For mongering purposes it works as a bar and the presence of the coconut trees caused it to be named "Coconut Bar".

If you mean insomnia as in the upstairs club I can assure you that the bigger percentage is 26 over. They do however take great care of themselves and how they look so they seem younger but in reality they are not the required age.

If you mean I bar, downstairs-ground floor section. The problem is that it's too loud yet is not an actual disco so it's very hard to speak to a girl And it gets CRAZY crowded so it's very hard to stand in one place to talk or even to scout for potential pick ups.

Another problem with insomnia is that the girls tend to be picky because they know that everyone there is looking so they go for the guy they like the most. Maybe it's you maybe it isn't. If you wait till past 1-2 am and you strike out your done for the night. Happened to me once last trip. Just the worst feeling ever.
My suggestion is as follows and I bet on this, u have two golden windows of opportunity at insomnia in general ( any floor ) between 10.55-11.05 pm and between 12.45 -1.15. Personally I have tried these times over 3 times each with golden results. I don't know y and don't ask me why I'm specific to it by the minute; but I'll bet anyone a drink they'll hook up if they go looking at these times.

They've bought themselves a few drinks and now the nights almost over and they want to recuperate some of the money they spent, they start to realize an old guy with money is better then no guy at all.

Personally I prefer 808 disco. Its where all the Soi 6 girls go to party after their Soi 6 bar closes at one.

If I can find one for LT who is hot and makes me laugh non-stop after the gogo clubs close I will consider that as hitting the jackpot.

Most gogos close at two some like windmill will close at three. Same for beer gardens. Most gogo girls go home and around two or three you can see the parade of them walking from walking street. Many are easy to pick up some are not. Many are willing to take one last customer. Some will go to the disco which are open until 6 am. 808 disco across from Alcatraz gogo seems to be popular with many of the gogo girls after they get off and seems to be very popular with the Soi 6 girls after they get off. A large number of the girls at 808 disco are Soi 6 girls who go there after their Soi 6 bar closes (most Soi 6 bars close at 1 am).

Not sure of the accuracy of this, I've had a girl or two from Beach Road and had no issues. That said, if something happens, you'll be hard pressed to track one down because they don't work in an establishment with a Mama-son.

I think he meant Coconut Bar. Beach Road is known as the Coconut Bar because of the trees and freelancers.
