My last day: the plan was to get up reasonably early, play around a bit (which we did, fucking three times (#14.18, #14.19, #14.20), then hustle off to Bangkok to see Sirina before heading to the airport. I expect no action and have likely closed my account at 25 new fucks and a total of 56 fucks in 28 days. I am satisfied with the count, all things considered, but have learned some lessons along the way about squandering money in silly ways and chasing down blind alleys.

Who knows what mistakes I'll make with Sirina. Answer: only one. I spent too much money to no real effect. Sirina and I had met on Thai Friendly and had exchanged perhaps a hundred messages on Line over the past 10 days. In person, Sirina proved to be just a little overweight and, like me, I think she was a little disappointed in what she saw.

Over dinner she warmed up and we talked for many hours, but the dinner ended up costing me 1,700 Baht, albeit spread over five dishes and some beer. Clearly, parts of Bangkok "enjoys" European-like prices. Sirina had distinctly negative views of sex tourists (like me) but I didn't pursue this discussion and neither did she since it would have led us no place good. She kindly dropped me at Makkashan station so I could catch the airport rail link. I then took the train to the airport, arrived around 11 pm, found a bench and slept fitfully until I checked in for my flight at around 5 am in preparation for a 7 am departure and a 24 hour flight home from Bangkok via Narita and Chicago to Toronto. A quiet end to the vacation.
