I'm staying at the Ozo which I really like. A little bit of a walk I guess to the sights, but personally I don't mind it. During the day times I've gone to the beach to get some sun, I hate being pasty. I was a bit surprised how there is zero talent on the beach. I thought maybe it would be like Sosua where you could still see some talent out around the beach but that doesn't seem to be the case here. I guess they sleep all day to be ready for the night. The only females to be seen are old vacationing land whales with their husbands. Tomorrow I think I may check out soi 6, still haven't been there yet. At nights it's just been beach road and walking street. My first night I took it easy, got my logistics down and tried to get a feel of the place. Checked out a couple of go-gos on walking street. Told myself beforehand just one beer in each before I moved on. Went to Living Dolls, there are two now I noticed, I went to the second one further up the street. A lot of pretty girls, some smoking hot. But the most memorable thing I saw was a woman in one of those burka things, in there with her boozing and schmoozing husband. Anyways, I moved on to the airport go-go. Girls weren't as pretty as Living Dolls but some were all nude. Lots of guys in there, more than in Living Dolls. Finished my beer and just walked some more. Ended up out on beach road, and saw some decent looking girls. I was going to walk home and saw Tahitian Queen and figured one more beer wouldn't hurt so I popped in. Again cute girls, an old busted one that latched onto me, but I saw one girl I really liked. I talked to her for a bit and we clicked. I didn't take her home, my plan was to take it easy my first night but told her I would see her again for sure. Well all day yesterday she was on my mind and I knew I'd go back to have her. Did a tour of some bars and popped into Tahitian Queen around midnight. I saw my girl right away but she was sitting in a group with a couple dudes. She then looked in my direction and gave me the biggest smile and motioned for me to sit. She excused herself from the group to go to the bathroom so she could walk by me and whispered she would be over as soon as she could. After a bit she deftly extracted herself from the other guys and was sitting with me. It didn't take too long before we were out the door and walking back to my apartment. Sex was good, once at night and then again in the morning. Tonight I think I will check out a club, I see Mixx mentioned a couple times on here.

But I'd say shutting down the ST rooms on Soi 6 is a little more than a. 0000001% impact. I can't even imagine how those bars will stay open if this is true.

Soi sex is more likely as a target because it's right in your face, that is, operated in a way that can be considered against the Thai law. The law doesn't say that prostitution can't be had on premises, it says that prostitution is illegal only if "done against public decency" or similar words. So, the large brothels or clubs are OK, because nothing can be seen from outside, a fishbowl is not against decency, but a bunch a loud scantly dressed women advertising themselves possibly is.

Other things that trigger police actions pretty quickly: drugs or gambling on premises, trafficked or [CodeWord902] women (although an exception was made for certain places for years. - these were out of sight, but not inaccessible, for the average tourist) One could even imagine a Pattaya without Soi 6 within the next 5 years.

What has _already_ changed the whole scene is economics and development.

Failed on basics at the 2nd night, after a faltering 1st one. But getting an HJ while parked at Big C was a new experience.

Coming to Pattaya for sex one needs only two things, money and common sense (some call it good taste). But looking around the 2nd element is often left home.

But I'd say shutting down the ST rooms on Soi 6 is a little more than a. 0000001% impact. I can't even imagine how those bars will stay open if this is true.

I concur. The ladies were out on Beach Rd the day after, no problem. I wanted to go to Club 4 but got sidetracked by [CodeWord901]'s BJ bar.

I picked a looking gal probably 18. I couldn't get my juices out and boy, she will have a jaw contusion after she worked on me. She spoke hardly any English said her name was Phone. When I reached for her ass while she was blowing me, she said " no, pen" I thought she said penis, I got right out of that chair and said its over, paid my fine and left.

After walking down the street, I thought maybe she meant period. Darn it! I couldn't bust a but anyway. Dam Kamagra pills!

When I came to Pattaya, I thought the action was on Beach Rd and Walking St. Nope. Its all over!

An overview of Pattaya for those that haven't been.

Beach Rd is the main drag and it becomes Walking St. There are many streets (Soi) off of Beach Rd that offer everything, massage parlors, BJ bars, ST rooms and all kinds of hotels big and small with vacant signs.

The 3 main drags are Beach Rd, 2nd Road and 3rd Road (Boukou), all run parallel. I did the Walking St thing, but I prefer 2nd and 3rd Road. Many more bars and girls to choose from with cheaper rates.

The smaller hotels and signs for room for rent, I see go for 600 to 1000 bahts. But you don't know what your getting in terms of noise, hot water or a safe for money storage.

Its funny how these raids are never done on expensive soapies popular with Asian customers. Wonder why LOL.

Definitely not the news I would have wanted to hear at this time when I am 4 days away from my trip to LOS. 2 nights in Bangkok and 3 nights in pattaya.

I had planned to visit Soi 6 bars and some gentleman clubs like M, Club 4, etc this time. Seems like this aint going to happen. BR is not my scene and I prefer gogos in BKK hence the two nights for Soi cowboy there.

Looks like I am going to have to rely on open bars or FLs in Discos. Not read much about the way raids happen in LOS. Is it a complete shutdown or it impacts on premises ST only. Do girls take off for few days or there isn't much of an impact.

I would request forum members with some insight or knowledge about this to share.

Bizzare! I still don't quite understand what they are looking for. Are they cracking down on falang owned establishments or mixed thai-falang establishments? Or are they looking to make a big splash with these raids for which they seem to indicate that they received information beforehand.

In one case they were also looking for drugs, and even found a minuscule amount. Thai police doesn't need any information, it's all a matter of what they want to repress and when, depending on payments received.

I took a cute Thai from Soi 6 for St, just talk to them, don't go for full night unless and until you make a good connection with them! If you take them for full night they want you to finish fast and sleep!! I prefer St! Especially if I'm travelling alone.
