Definitely not the news I would have wanted to hear at this time when I am 4 days away from my trip to LOS. 2 nights in Bangkok and 3 nights in pattaya.

I had planned to visit Soi 6 bars and some gentleman clubs like M, Club 4, etc this time. Seems like this aint going to happen. BR is not my scene and I prefer gogos in BKK hence the two nights for Soi cowboy there.

Looks like I am going to have to rely on open bars or FLs in Discos. Not read much about the way raids happen in LOS. Is it a complete shutdown or it impacts on premises ST only. Do girls take off for few days or there isn't much of an impact.

I would request forum members with some insight or knowledge about this to share.

The current "raids" have impacted 0,0000001% of the offering in Pattaya. The police going full force 24/7 for a year could probably multiply this result by 100!

Coming to Pattaya for sex one needs only two things, money and common sense (some call it good taste). But looking around the 2nd element is often left home.

Bizzare! I still don't quite understand what they are looking for. Are they cracking down on falang owned establishments or mixed thai-falang establishments? Or are they looking to make a big splash with these raids for which they seem to indicate that they received information beforehand.

In one case they were also looking for drugs, and even found a minuscule amount. Thai police doesn't need any information, it's all a matter of what they want to repress and when, depending on payments received.

I took a cute Thai from Soi 6 for St, just talk to them, don't go for full night unless and until you make a good connection with them! If you take them for full night they want you to finish fast and sleep!! I prefer St! Especially if I'm travelling alone.

A couple of nights ago I was wandering along Beach road about 11 pm. I knew it was late and that most of the lovelies would probably be gone. Then, to my surprise, there was a beautiful, thin, woman (I guessed low 30's) smiling at me. We talked a bit and then headed off to my hotel. WOW!! Shower together. Previews. Full on GFE. She seemed to enjoy the time fully as much as I did. Turned out she was 40. No problem with that. Body of a 30 year old, and a sex drive to go with it. And -- the best of all, before we left Beach Road she asked for 500 Baht to "go with you". Needless to say, I tipped her a bit.

Yes, as the old-timers say, Pattaya might not be what it once was, but there are still some gems to be found and some great times to be had.

Not tactics, if they get caught they get fined 500 Bt, spend the night at the police station, and be recorded as "know offenders". That has been happening at much more relaxed times and can happen again anytime.

As I was walking on the east side of Beach Rd I noticed many girls scrambling toward my side of the street and go into businesses and onto the scooters. I thought WTF?

So as drunk as I was I looked to the north of Beach Rd and noticed police lights.

In five minutes the lone police truck with about 5 officers in the back were going slowly on Beach Rd south.

The other day a fellow sports partner called and ask if I wanted to check out the M-Club with him off 3rd Road / Soi 15,
The next day I got a call from him and he told me lucky I didn't come because the club was raided. They basically took him and everyone to the police station, had everyone take a P test, those who had a passport or copy was let go, he was told that the place had been under investigation for sometime.
Just recently another club, called Heavens Gentlemen was having a pool party with near 100 patrons? Was also raided.

Local Pattaya board confirms the raid. Happened during M club's pool party on Saturday afternoon, at 4p. Only M-Club owner and cashier are still in custody. Police photocopied the 1000 baht notes in the till. One can deduce an undercover used the notes to pay for ST room. Hence some of the Soi 6 bars are not offering ST at this time. Per the local board, Planet Earth, and Tokyo Kids, (other G clubs,) were recently raided as well. Club 4 was raided earlier in the week, but is still open, ladies are now wearing panties.

Careful going into any places that offers on premise ST. Local board recommends one carry their passport or copy of it and visa entry, exit stamps.
