I'm curious what drug was used as well. There were two very similar incidents recently, one American, and one Russian (I believe). Both guys were naked. This makes me believe they were drugged while in their rooms with a girl.

Other suspected cases of guys being drugged, usually end up with the guy sleeping. It makes me wonder if these guys are being given zolpidem (Ambien / Stilnox). In combination with alcohol, they can have this effect on people. There have been cases where people drink on a plane, take an Ambien to sleep, then wake up in hand cuffs not knowing what went down.

So it's possible, the girls are trying to make the guys sleep so they can rob them, but then have to deal with the unexpected "sleep walking" side effects and get the hell out of Dodge.

He said whatever it was made him very hot. And that is why his clothes were off. AFTER being drugged he was taken to a hotel room and robbed. It wasn't that he was going short time with anyone. He doesn't even do short time, so if he was taking someone then it would have been back to his own room.

Sure the extra 500 baht is worth the grief if someone was trying to rip you off. Where would it end? The line has to be drawn somewhere. And a guy like me can eat 2 days on 500 baht. I don't know how good the original poster is at lying and / or being confident, but he could have just as well said that he agreed to 1000 which he was giving her, but she is trying to raise the price. It would have been his word against hers. And 1000 baht is no small sum of money. Somebody would have convinced her to take the 1000 and move on.

I'd pay 500 baht not to have the shit beaten out of me by a couple of motorcycle guys. It's not like we're dealing with normal Thais but criminals, lowlifes and drug addicts. My priority is to holiday uninjured.

The last thing he remembers is jumping on the baht bus to go to Walking Street. Everything has been worked out though. It did cost (what to me is) a substantial sum of money. And thanks to other expats who put some money up he was able to get out of it. It pays to have friends. Be careful out there gentlemen.

Then the girl changed her tone and yelling at me she want to go back with 1. 5 K. I resisted and agreed top pay 1 K. But she really wanted 1. 5 which I rejected. She threaten me by calling their people. I went down to the lobby but the guy at reception asked me to give money (I think he know her, because when she was handing over her I'd he refused to show it to me). When we were talking at lobby, two of the Motorbikes came and supported her. Finally I had no way so I paid the full amount.

Sounds like your Hotel was in on the scam, if it was one. You should change Hotels. On the other hand I can understand her being angry if you were fucking her for 5 to 10 secs with a broken condom. Mostly guys should know when it feels a little bit too good, unless you are just about to cum (which is highly distracting).

When the whole thing got nasty, I would suggest paying the whole 1. 5K to get the thing over with. 500 Baht is not much to get a bad experience over with. If things got a hell of a lot worse than that, you could try calling the tourist police. Tourist police are intended to protect foreign tourists from being ripped off, but I know how far it extends to sex deals.

I agree with others, that in most cases girls that wish to be paid up front cannot be trusted to follow a deal to the full letter of that deal. Girls will rip you off time and time again. So in my view never pay upfront for private arrangements. I have been ripped off plenty of times over many years, so know that you need to know the personality of a girl very well before you rely on her to do what she says she is going to do. LOL.

Lastly, I advice not to take free lancer girls that do not work for any particular establishment. Its more risky.

You will be able to hang on the beach and get sun. The rain usually doesn't last a long time. Keep in mind the sea at Pattaya is very polluted. Hotel choices are many at every budget level. The is a separate Pattaya hotel thread you should check out. Sea Me Spring and LK The Empress are two good hotels across the street from the beach. There is also a Marriot, Hard Rock, and Holiday Inn on Beach Road. I would recommend staying away from the USA chain hotels as they are overpriced / unnecessary in Pattaya. Too many good alternatives are available.

Police were called to a 24 hour convenience store in South Pattaya in the early hours of Thursday following reports of a naked foreign man who had taken a Thai Woman hostage.

Officers arrived at the branch of 7-Eleven on the Pratamnuk Road close to the VC Hotel, and managed to detain the man, who called himself Ken from America. He refused to give his full name or age.

Also at the scene was Khun Sirirat aged 38 who works as a cashier at a Walking Street Bar. She told Police that she was on her way home when she came across the American who appeared in a confused state and was naked.

She approached him to offer assistance when she was grabbed around the neck and dragged inside the shop where she was held hostage for a time. She attempted to release herself from his grip and was punched in the mouth causing her to lose a front tooth.

Khun Sirirat later joined the American at Pattaya Police Station where Police decided to lock him up until later in the morning. Police suspect he was under the influence of some form of narcotic which may have been administered without his knowledge inside a Hotel room. They think he then made his way out onto the street where the incident involving the cashier occurred.

The investigation will continue later on Thursday.

Sounds like she was testing you for softness from the very beginning. Sometimes a session just goes without bad intent, but in this case it seems like she was deliberately out to scam you.

These days I'm quick to cancel the deal before it's consummated if any of the fundamentals are questioned early on. One strike I usually gloss over (as long as the girl is conciliatory and has a generally good vibe) , but two strikes (upfront fee, asking to go back early) or especially and it should be a quick cancellation with maybe a 200 baht parting fee. In other words, you could have seen it coming.

Once a conflict arises, don't get other Thais involved, it won't go in your favor. If the situation is adversarial, your goal is to kick her out of the door with minimal payment. Negotiate with all your clothes on (and insist on her being dressed too). Start out very low. If you offer 500 baht and stick with that for a while, then when you pay her 1000 she'll think she WON 500 instead of losing the same amount down from 1500. As long as she's paid _something_ semi-reasonable (even just 500 baht for the half of the ST) , once she's out of your room the chance of her calling someone to escalate it further is very small. Of course, if she's high on drugs, no way of predicting.

Giving her 1500 for nothing might have been a good idea once the thing escalated (with the receptionist and motorcycle guys). But in the long term it will only serve to encourage her to do this again to the next guy.

I am reading what you said & this stuff about a hotel room & being robbed is new. Was he unconscious at the time he was robbed? Was he on a session with a working girl? What was he doing at the hotel? Did he commit a rookie mistake to get himself spiked? Since he blacked out and can't remember what happened, could he have also forgotten that he took drugged food or drink from a working girl, or licked her breasts or the like? Yes. Normally people who are spiked are rendered unconscious & then robbed, not wandering all over town butt naked abducting people & then claiming amnesia later. And, again, a person can experience such a blackout or amnesia without being spiked by another person, Thai or other nationality.

I've never read a story where a guy was drugged randomly. Usually, it's by a freelancer in his room from a drink she pulls from the minibar.

I did read once of a girl from a beer bar doing it, then she disappeared the next day.

Why don't you date her and find out?
