My point was that it does not matter as far as whether sex is offered or not whether the shop offers only a towel, or both a towel and boxers. Up to you which one you want to wear at these places. For those interested, I found out a bit more through some explorations today at three massage shops (turns out there are about a dozen on Soi 13/2, which I found out by walking all the way to Second Road and opening my eyes-don't know how I missed them all yesterday). Nude BBBJCIM and possibly even more is available with the right lady and chemistry, often for a tip as low as 200-300. This + massage fee puts it on par with the BJ bars. Apparently if things go right you can also "barfine" a girl for 300 baht. I was actually offered this. This isn't out and in your face because apparently the police pay a lot more attention to "normal" massage shops, maybe they don't have the same arrangement with the cops. In any case, these places are a worth a try if only for the massage. Each one has 10-15 girls working, all have been very kind to me, not money hungry at all, and most of them go days and days without a single customer. I recommend these spots.

Yeah, the prices ain't what they used to be, even a few years ago. WTF when I'm getting quoted 900 for a BJ in the bar? Are you fucking kidding me or what? I used to pay 500 for that. And some of them won't budge either. Speaking of the guys rising prices, I watched as two Indian guys barfined two girls and paid 1400 in bar fines and then 6500 upfront for ONE HOUR in a short time hotel after the first 3 girls they asked about refused to even let them buy a drink. This was in one of the smaller A Go Gos on Walking Street. Last year I stopped in a soi 6 place. If I remeber it was across from QV. Had been sitting and having a drink and observing the talent from the road side bar. Pawn shop. There are a few in the Soi Buakhao area. Just look for a place with colored lights in the windows and maybe display cases with phones that you can see from outside. Will run you about 600 baht for a basic one.

For anyone interested, I found what I was after.

Tried "The Best" at the Beach Road end of 13/3 (across from Sin Bin) again to no avail. The oil massage was good, and the (chubby but young) girl doing it was jovial, but no extras. In fact, she was a bit shy in the beginning when she came in and I was sitting there naked. I think she was pretty new by the way the other girls talked to her. You are taken upstairs to a small massage table with a curtain. The massage was a good legit massage though, and she wasn't shy about touching the little guy. Her hand must have rubbed and touched it 100 times during the front leg portion, and I was standing at full attention, out in the wind for her to see. * I always get totally naked for massages, legit or not, and have never had a problem. Any massage place worth its salt will recommend it. I remember when I took a friend to a legit Chinese massage in New York. He left his boxers on. About 3 minutes into the massage, when the girl got to his buttocks and lower back, she simply pulled his boxers off and said "This okay? I cannot do with." I don't know what places are asking people to remain clothed for full body massages, but I'd suggest finding a new place.

I agree that 1000 total is the average quote, but I still don't get it. 1000 for a quickie vs. 1300 or possibly less for all night from Soi 8. It's not like the BJ bars or even the massage shops where there is at least something different on offer. Here you are getting the exact same thing, only less of it, and for a higher price to boot.

Ask them if you look Japanese or Korean to them and gently remind that its Soi 6. Should do the job. Soi 8 huh? Sounds like my next port of call in December. Ugh! Its only August! How will I make it? LOL

If you want a throw away phone theres Tukcom or you could ask a Thai person where the local pawnshop is. I personally had my Japan issued phone work while I was there cos I have global roaming.

Perhaps someone could also fill me in the concept of the short time bars on Soi 6. I've tried them once, but I just don't get it. Some of them are asking up to 1000 baht + 300 for the room for a ST premises. Hitting a BJ bar for a quick blow behind a curtain alright, but a quicky for the price of LT on beer bar girls on Soi 8 or 7, who look just as good if not better, I do not. Am I missing something?

Haha! Not here. But late last night I wandered past a massage place on second street near Soi 6 and there was a Russian inside getting a foot massage with only his jockey shorts on.
