Well 300 baht on BR is my going rate so it is quite believable to me. When I leave out of the house to go to Beach Road I bring 500 baht. I will bargain for 300, but pay no more than 400 if absolutely necessary. + 100 for short time room (PS shithole) or 120 if I go to the short time room on Second Road.

The ones at the crack shacks you can just give them 200. They will probably accept 150 truth be told.
