You might want to review such things as gravity, the tendency of water to flow downhill (meaning to sea level), and the tidal wave that leveled Phuket in 2004. Just as a quick review, drainage tends to be more of an issue at sea level as opposed to at higher elevations. Of course, sea level can vary, as was discovered in Phuket in 2004.
For a brief refresher course, google "tsunami Thailand 2004."
Note that if airports are flooded, planes have difficulty taking off, and ground transportation has difficulty arriving at them. You may want to arrange an amphibious vehicle just to hedge your bets.

Posts: 51Any Russian / Ukrainian / Uzbek P4P activity?
Dear Senior members,
I was wondering if there is any Russian / Ukrainian / Uzbek girls (sex workers) are available in Pattaya? If yes, where can I find them? What are their going rates? Are there any special hotels where they stay?
Thanks in advance

I'm formulating a plan as back up in case I have to leave during my visit next month and would encourage others go do the same. It's a short flight to Phnom Pehn from BKK and I will go there if the flood is a problem but to be honest I don't think it will be. It's right on the sea right? Pattaya. Drainage won't be any sort of issue.
And also you have to take media reports with a grain of salt. In the end they are trying to get attention and sell newspapers or get ratings. Further more, a friend of mine in Bangkok said that Sukhumvit area is dry and theres a lack of customers. She even asked me to come sooner. LOL

Where is the stock market going to be at in January? Who the F knows. Just like none of us can predict the weather for that time.

Posts: 142Will clouds and rains move to Pattaya?
Hi guys,
I was just about to buy plane ticket and make hotel reservation for my holiday in Pattaya in early Jan 2012 when I froze hearing critic news.
May thai flood jeopardize it all now? I know bad weather didn't affect Pattaya at the moment, but would clouds and rains move there in the next weeks?
It seems it has been raining for months in Thailand, how long is it going to last?
I don't want to run ten thousand miles and concern about the weather. I want my sun!
Anybody got a link to accurate wheater forecast in Pattaya in order to monitor situation there?
I'm also scared of price hikes and I wouldn't like to wait for weeks before buying my plane ticket to see if it's getting better because I'd rather avoid possible further increases.
Thanks for your support.

I'm heading out of Jomtien to main Pattaya to hit up the gogo's and go in for some real mongering. I'm interested in BabyDoll's, and any other exciting gogo. Could somone sugest a 550 baht hotel that's next to tons of gogo's where I can do plenty of ST butterflying? I'm thinking soi 6 post office would be a good start from what I've read on the boards. Maybe I can find a hotel in soi 6 and just take a taxi to babydolls when I'm feeling even more frisky.
How do motorbike rentals work? Do you need a driver's licence from your native country? And I don't know about Pattaya, but Jomtien has no freking streets labeled.
