Know where your hotel is, and where the. Gov bus stops. At 11pm a farang is going to be ripped off badly, especially if they see a suitcase.

bj bars here are:
1. [CodeWord901]'s - soi lk metro, off soi diana inn. 800 baht.
2. pump station - soi post office (soi 13/2 off beach road) 700 baht, and
3. bliss - sai 3 (3rd road & soi 18 in front of xzyte disco. 600 baht.
probably good to do a bj bar once for the novelty, but let's face it, you can get fs from a beach road girl for 500 (many cases 300 or 400) + 100 for short time room.

Hey folks!
It's been some time since I last visited Pattaya now, but returning in about a month or so now. I'm curious about what ST / LT I should aim at when hunting in places like Insomnia and Lucifer.
Also, are there some sort of SOL (BKK) type of establishment in Pattaya? If so, what's the name of it / them and where are they located?
Thanks in advance!

reliability depends on the hotel. at some hotels, there are more internet drop-outs (where connection is lost for 10 to 20 seconds). it will be reliable enough for stock trading, but internet poker might have trouble.

i don't trust those public internet cafes; they probably have pirated software which might not offer all the protection possible.
i know i'm being paranoid. that's why i bring my laptop to log into my financial sites.

It doesn't drop you off at your hotel, but it leaves you on the main road. There will be songthaews at those stops which will offer you to take you straight to your hotel. Cheaper option will be to hop on a public songthaew traveling in a loop.

Posts: 15925I went to visit a friend who works a legitimate job on Soi 6 yesterday. I told her that I was going to leave and get a massage. She recommended a place there on Soi 6. I went and had a great head and shoulders for 200 baht. What didn't sit well with me was that usually when I get head and shoulders it is done right in the main room with all the chairs. However, for this I was guided upstairs to the massage mattresses. The girl went through the routine of a full body massage although more gentle than a thai massage. To make a short story even shorter, after the massage I got FS for 500 baht. She tried to get 1000 out of me but that wasn't happening. When I showed her the 500 baht bill it was all systems go. I shall return if for nothing but the massage itself.

Fellow Forum Members, I just found out that I will need to be in Pattaya for a friend's bachelor party on 30 May 2011 to 2 Jun 2011. The problem is my flight from Malaysia will land in Bangkok International Airport around 6. 55pm. I wanted to book a seat on the BELL bus but their timetable indicated that the last bus leave Bangkok Int Airport for Pattaya at 6pm.
Is there an alternative bus service (similar to BELL where they deliver you to your hotel) that I can consider?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks & Regards

2. If you mean you risk to get blocked because of a foreign IP number, get a US VPN for that.

Posts: 180Haven't ever found a hotel even in the range of 900-1500 baht that doesn't have wifi. And have always found it relibale (iei not dropping in an out). Shouldn't be a problem.

Posts: 35Some questions re: first trip to Asia
Hi All. I'm making my first trip to south east Asia, planning to spend 1 week in Pattaya and 1 week in Phillipines (Manila and / or Cebu). I will be working remotely and need a reliable Internet connection. Is this realistic is these places? I'm thinking / hoping the higher-end hotels will have such things. Please advise if otherwise. If I can't work I have to take unpaid vacation which adds more cost to the trip.
2nd main question is this: Is there any issue with trading stocks on the US market from foreign countries. I make a few trades a week using Charles Schwab and Fidelity. I'd like to be able to place trades from these countries and be blocked. I know I can call on phone and place a trade with a representative for $25-33 per trade (vs. $8-10 normally). Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks for the reports. I'll submit mine upon return.
