[Orange Crust]

Made the mistake to go Pattaya at songkran last year. It maybe fun for a day or two, but here it last more than a week. And these bastards put large ice blocks into the barrels. There almost no chance to escape!

Funny, my memory of the Song Krang festival is totally different. My girl was all excites about the festival and helped me pick out my shirt. We bought all the gear. Water guns, buckets, and clay / ash crap to spread on faces. Went out for about 2 hours in the afternoon. Be sure time it late (delay by going for late lunch or better yet a hangover induced sleepin). With the hot sun gone in the late afternoon, she jumped at my offer to take her home. In the tuk-tuk (never use except for song krang) we got soaked more and more and the colder she got. Back at the condo, I said I wanted a hot bath to warm up in. Offered to let her join me since she was shivering. Of course she takes me up on the offer. Repeated every day of Song Krang. She will get cold and will jump at every opportunity to warm up. Bath, bed, shower. Yeah, nice memories getting my girl in the tub at 5pm followed closely by some action under the sheets. I love Song Krang. I guess it's always what you make of it.

In my last visit in Pattaya, I went 3 times in Devil's Den.

I try some new ladies Dew-Alyssa and Wan-Dar but their service was not satisfactory!

A quick report on a one week wander down to Pattaya to see 2 mates from the old country.

I stayed at the reliable Pasadena Lodge in LK Metro and ate mainly at the small but excellent Thai place in Soi Buakhao on the same side of the road as Oasis but between there and Club Blu. I also used Marine Seafood off WS and the Beer Garden a couple of times each both places providing good quality food at reasonable prices.

I visited many Go-go bars including the new ones in LK and WS. The most disappointing to us was Alcatraz in terms of atomoshpere. Plenty of talent to choose from and something to suit most tastes could be found in all the places we went, Kiss, MASH, Office, Oasis and Papayago locally and Secrets, Peppermint, Iron Club, Casanovy and Baccara in WS.

On entering some clubs we found on some nights them virtually empty and on others quite busy there seeming to be no real pattern.

I had 3 in-call visits from 3 different girls from Dream Teen all who spent 2 hours giving JCL an early afternoon delight and relaxation. All 3 girls provided 2 pops and an agreeable massage in between.

I BF'the a spinner out of Secrets for the first 2 nights on the trot, who was a top performer (no A) she kept on saying she just wanted to 'make me happy' which she most certainly did. She even stayed until midday on both occasions rather than leave at 7am, as agreed, so an extra pop was accomplished before brunch.

All in all a good week and there being plenty of girls compared to mongers which is always a bonus, next Patts trip due in June / July.

maybe so in pattaya, but in bangkok, i can thankfully say most people don't behave like primates and most times respect the working bunch. if i am in a suit and some asshole hoses me down, chances are he will find the hose either up his ass or down his throat. .

that is why i'm in pattaya and your in bangkok, even primates once a year got to let loose and maybe your bosses should loosen up the tie and suit and let you wear your speedo to work and then you can change to your suit.

Every year I spend my Songkran Saturday with my son and his friends on the darkside in our sling loaded with big garbage can and a constant refill of blocks of ice and water arrange with my local ice factory and away we go with a few hours only to take a break to eat from time to time. Every Thai and Farangs gets it no discrimination but never straight in the face or eyes but if you got your long pants and silk shirt it double the doses nothing personal so in Pattaya stay in your car with your window close and door lock.

Maybe I'm the exception? And I can't speak for Bangkok but as far as I'm concern (a minority) in Pattaya, the holiday isn't going anywhere and from my history the Farangs are the ones that created this mess. As far as business district I haven't seen one here because its a little here and a little there. Even without this holiday event Pattaya is a resort type place not for guys in long pants and silk shirts that is why there are so many Farangs with shorts, sandals and tank tops with beer bellies. Remember as many of noted it is a place for scums and cheap charlies only

Sure many business loose money here on this week and why knowing they are going to get wet still demand that professional still go to work with their long pants and shirt at least let them dress for the occasion. I myself don't sweat it and just go with the flow, I wear my six pocket swim trunks fake Nike workout top which drys in minutes and wrap around cycling glasses, a plastic bag for my small wallet, money, and switch to my secondary cheap cell phone also in a plastic bag. When I ride my motorbike I made sure to wear the one with the shield. Now I'm all set.

To me it's no big thing I enjoy the week and cycle during this time so I could just get a ice cold bath from time to time and a break from the heat. Many years ago, I even did not know what Songkran was but I have learned it the hard way, I never forget now, I came out from a office building at Silom to get a taxi, dressed in a suit and tie, holding a bunch of papers in my hands and got soaking wet in a few minutes, at first I did not where it actually came from but then I saw Thai guys trowing with water to everybody, fine with me it's ther culture but Nic is right, now you see grandpa's playing like kids with the water and the ice cubes can hit you hard on the head, a bunch of fool farang in Pattaya have extended the game from 3day till almost 10 days, so I am out of here by that time and get back later for a dry walk.

Couldn't agree more. 20 years ago it was just celebrated on just 19th April in Pattaya.all over by 6pm. Then the PM of the day, Chatchai Choonhaven, gave the Thais a 3 day Songkran holiday.all the Bangkok people came to Pattaya, and bingo. Songkran lasts from around 11th April to 19th,

You missed the point of my post, which actually wasn't very clear (I'll give you that). So long as people stick to Prostitute Areas, I am fine, but as soon as these degenerates hit the business districts, then I have a problem.

You can agree or not, it's just my feeling. Some people think that because they are in Thailand they can behave however they want.
