Since 1999 (year of my first sojourn in the Land of Smiles), I have noticed that the average quality of the girls is becoming much lower in the tourist destinations. I don't know whether or not the working girls are more numerous nowadays on this market (I would say about the same number), but in the not-so-ancient past, many unattractive girls would not have dared trying their luck in working as prostitutes. Nowadays, it's a known fact among the local girls that most tourists don't know much about the local economics and that many are willing to pay much more than the going rates even for average or substandard quality.

So, maybe overpaying attracts more girls to the P4P market, but (on average again), the overall quality is becoming much lower than in the past in the tourist destinations (older girls, mothers, etc.: most of them would not dare trying to work on the Thai-oriented scene, even in the cheapest local brothels).

Mainly because he wrote that other guys who are not willing to pay as much as him "end up with an ugly girl or just settle for a wank"! So, I am curious to see what is a "real 10/10" that is worth 3000+ baht (ST or LT, by the way?), according to him.

I also believe that it is interesting for the other ISG members as well. Some of them might be willing to pay as much as him if they see that the girl is really much more beautiful than the average hooker, while the others might think that it's probably not worth it (according to them). Without any picture, it's impossible to tell!

Recently, another ISG member (Der Tourist) posted several pictures of very attractive women. While I would not pay as much as him nowadays, I understand perfectly why he and other punters (especially those who are just tourists and who don't have the same opportunities that the long-time residents may have) would pay more than the average going rate for this quality (in Bangkok).

A couple of months ago, you (Rjsss212) posted several pictures of another very attractive woman. It was interesting to know how much you paid for her company. Then, each male ISG member reading this board can decide if, according to him, he would pay the same amount for such quality (for instance, a 9/10 on his personal scale) or if he would rather pay half or a third of this price for a much more common 7/10. The more information we have, the better, IMHO.

As I have already said in another thread, I don't condone overpaying in the Land of Smiles, but it's mainly when people are paying much more than the average going rates for average or substandard quality.

I hope that it is not the case for JohnTheScot, especially since he had spoken quite badly about the quality of the girls (qualifying them as "ugly") that other punters who are not willing to pay as much as him end up with. So, that's why I would like him to post a picture of his "real 10/10", especially since I have failed so far to see one particularly attractive girl among the pictures he had posted to date.

It's an illogical extension of the price war debate on ISG. When a member reports that said member had a stunner and paid more (or is willing to pay more) than the 'going rate' he is asking them to post a pic so he can determine if she was indeed a 10 and thereby grant his approval or (likely) disapproval as the case may be.

Thailand's population is a young, and there is very little significant public economic development investment outside of greater Bangkok (except for possibly Chonburi & Chiang Mai). Hence, there will be a constant stream of young, tight bodied cuties from Isaan, and other rural regions, migrating to Pattaya for a long time to come. The economic pull is just too strong.

Ironically, these girls are treated as heroes when there return to their villages with bags of presents and money for Mama & the kids, and booze and cigarettes for all the uncles and brothers. But, after the hugs wear off, Mama starts waking them up early for chores and they have to make their own som tam, so after a few days, it's back on the mini-van for Pattaya, Soi Cowboy, or Nana. Sleep, eat, go to the salon, drink, fuck, repeat cycle.

It's very sad, to go half way around the world, to find second rate hookers on the street that are too ugly, to tired or precluded from working night clubs and bars due to their health conditions. Hookers that the Thais themselves would never touch. Thai bars and clubs are always full (of Thais) spending US$10 for their beers and tipping dancers US$20They get the best now leaving the left overs (normally with a couple of kids in tow). They make foreign bars look cheap, they frown upon the west and see them as Cheap Charlie's sat outside 7/11 drinking beer and eating noodles. I guess the west has a new place and several postings here only make this worse.

Thais are tipping more than westerners. Westerners are going the same way as the dinosaurs.

Personally I prefer to pick up FLs and part timers at clubs like Walking Street. Not because of the $$$, but because of the better GFE they provide. But I do liek to pop into the GoGos and Beer Bars occasionally too.

Pattaya is a fucking dream come true. Great ladies, food, and wonderful friendly Thai people. Sure it's kind of a dump, but you can always grab a girl and head out to one of the gorgeous islands near by (Koh Chang, Koh Samui).

I've had some of the best times of my life in Pattaya (just last summer!) and I can't wait to get back.

Charlie Sheen pays $30, 000 each for 3 or 4 of his "godesses" overnight. His porn star chicks are nice but no better than what is available here for a small fraction of that price.

About the private taxi services mentioned in this previous post, I usually book them about one week in advance and never have had any problem so far. You can also use one of the regular meter-taxis: it's approximately the same price overall (or even a bit less expensive), but usually, those cars are less comfortable than those used by the private taxi services.
