Qatar Airways is Doha (Qatar) based and is trying (same as Ethiad) to beat Emirates on network

Bahrein's ariline is Gulf Air and as a limited and essential network (due to also to losses, always recapitilzed by the Government).

I would not take Ethiad from Bahrein to fly to Qatar (via AbuDhabi) to somewhere in the US with Qatar.

Simply not practical and quite nonsense.

If I would have to list the importance of these I would set

1) Emirates

2) Ethiad

3) Qatar

4) Gulf Air[/QUOTE]Ethiad has good schedules. A little more expensive than Delta from US, but you can catch a Friday evening flight out of Ohare and get an extra day on the ground. Flight schedules average at least 4 hours less air time than Delta. I guess its worth it if you can afford it.

Some 10 days before actually arriving in Pattaya, I contacted DD in order to make a booking. My first choice wasn't available, so in a brief mail exchange they helped select a replacement.

Finally on the day I showed up the manager on duty didn't know about my booking, then proceded to inform me that Bang wasn't available.

In fact I wouldn't have had a problem if they said that they couldn't take a booking without a deposit or my credit card details.
