Saturday 7th August.

Went out late and walked north along Beach Road, the street market was on again which contunes to be a bummer. Came across a reasonable looking girl who said her name was Lek, 25 years old, said she had been in Pattaya for 2 years and spoke good english. Took her for a couple of dinks and then to the room. Usual shower then gave me an excellent blow-job and then we fucked. Actually broke my condom during the act which I had to replace. Good company but had the largest areola's I have ever seen which were not to my tast but did her doggie so it didn't matter too much. Sometime during the early morning she got up, had her shower and she woke me to say "I go now". Felt the most relaxed and satisfied since arriving and said OK.

Hi Monopoly, Sandy Spring on Soi 13 is a great hotel, clean, AC, reasonable TV channels, small pool, I always ask for a balcony, staff are friendly and helpful, hotel is central and the hotel is girl friendly. I have stayed there 5 times now and have had no issues. I think I paid 1,390 THB per night and I know you can find cheaper rooms.

Agree with your comments on Soi 6/1 for I have stayed at Queen Vic a number of times and use the back to get in and out at all times of the day.

The one thing that others have noted and I want to re-emphasize to any newbies is that Soi 6/1 has many lady boys. Some are quite, well, obnoxious.

It's 6. Soi 6/1 is the little back alley that you use to avoid girls you don't want to bump into on the front soi. In fact real Soi 6 fans start to learn all the back entrances to the bars, for total discretion.

Sois 7 and 8 are mainly outdoor beer bars. I used to really enjoy them but don't bother much any more. Soi 6 just has everything I need.

Been to Pattaya a number of times and have visited Soi 6. By the way, is it simply Soi 6 or Soi 6/1. Don't remember.

I agree with you that the bars on soi 7 & 8 are lively and fun. Walking down these 2 streets you are confronted with a totally different atmosphere. It is like another world compared to the high end Go Go bars off Walking Street. But the hard truth is the best looking girls (I don't know if that is important to you or not) are found in the Go Go's. When you find a really good looking girl on soi 7 or 8, the exception proves the rule. So I will continue to go to both locations to get the most out of my trip. My primary goal in visiting Pat is to have a great time with beautiful Thai girls. I don't care who owns the bar.

I totally 100% agree with you that the best Thai food in Pattaya is found in the small independently owned street stalls. Yummy!

Its the best food i ever had anywhere....its owned by Thai-Chinese family....very famous amoung locals as wells as expats..they have both thai and chinese food..always fresh.

Frankly I'm beginning to feel like I've entered an alternative universe here. Farang-owned bars being the main source of padded bills and scams? (In contrast to all those lily-white Thai-owned bars.) 'Goldman Sachs profits' from bars? (Plenty of bar owners will have a good laugh over that.) Lady drinks and barfines as sucker bait? (Maybe, just maybe, the reason they've both lasted for decades is that they serve a useful function not only for bars, but also for the working girls and even the punters . . . give that a thought.)

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, I said most not ALL...offcourse some farangs owned bars are good...i'm aware that farangs own bars in soi 6,7,8 also, but we could find thai owned bars there more easily. If we look at the six months major events of farangs getting beaten up in Pattaya....They were all from the farangs owned bars.....Now this is a fact which could be checked in local news and local pattaya forums. i'm not saying you couldn't be beaten up in thai bars...b

Pad up bill issues and non-performance have also come from major bars in walking street. Farang owned bar owners come to forums and defend themselves on why they beat a guy....if farangs bar managers cannot guarantee fair treatment to their own countrymen why do we need to pay higher prices in those bars.

Today walked soi 6, 7, and 8. Spoke to lots of the working gals. Do not think there are any Thai bars in that area. If there are, I could not find them.

I've known a guy who lived here for over 10 years, and never even knew these places existed. To be clear, these bars are not for noobs at all. The pricing and customers are meant for the Thais, not farangs. When walking in can be intimidating. You walk in on the gals terms. Not yours. And these bars are filled with Thais -- w/few if any farangs. There is no guarantee that any of the gals will be nice. And certainly they do not need to tolerate any rude / smelly / fat / disgusting farang or their behavior as they do if you head to a go-go and buy a few LDs. Lots of working gals hang out there after work with their friends to relax.

Personally I prefer the challenge of the hunt, and hunting in their territory. In these places of course no LDs or bar fines, and since they are an automatic freelancer (no matter from which go-go / laundrymat they work at) price is far cheaper. Drinks ridiculously cheap, like cheaper than you've ever paid in your life. Hell, you could buy 10 or more gals lady drinks for the price of two go-go LDs.

Quick report from last evening: Walked on Walking Street. Of course had my 2 egg 40 baht omelet from a street stall (watch carefully how they cook it, they often put in too much oil and overcook it). Just decided to head towards Tonys (ripoff) Disco. In less than 30 seconds ... there she was. We talked. Bla bla bla ... 500 baht OK bla bla bla.

She huge natural tits. 22 years old. Amazing body and I'd no clue she had a kid except she told me. In the sack she was absolutely terrible. No Bj or anything else. She wanted me to come quick but I "torchered" her by going very very slow. And then even slower than that. Decided she would need to earn that 500 baht.

And ... all the while she complaining "You too big". "You take too long". Biggest complainer thus far this trip. Yea, even FLs aren't perfect. And here is your 500 baht, and do not even consider asking a tip.

This is my favorite place in Soi 6. All the ladies are very professional, you can test their BJ capacities first on the couch downstairs before going consequently upstairs for full service. My favorites are Chomphu, Nid, Eat, Nok, Um and Oi from top. The picture shows Nid, Eat and Nok from left to right.

Most of the fights, pad up bills, non-performance, drugging have happened in farangs owned bars...farangs get beaten by thai's who are paid by farang owners. They are the ones who have made what pattaya is today, inflated lady drinks and beers.

What you have experienced is very true...i try to avoid farang owned bars and generally spend my time in soi 7/8/6...small small bars.
If we all boycott farang bars....the price in pattaya will go down in couple of days.

Guys support local economy..eat at street stalls for food, drink at thai owned bars....farang owned bars are like goldman scachs of bars..their profit margin keeps on going up..while rest of us mongers suffers

Ummmm. Natty ... where do you think the GoGo bar girls goes on their nights off?? And when there, they are a freelancer (AKA: no bar fine and no lady dink). For me, it is far more fun to meet the girl on her own terms.

No reason for them to be paranoid about their patrons. Given their popularity, a no-show from a confirmed booking need not end in lost business for the waiting ladies.
May be a ploy to discourage unserious pranksters from gaming their roster -- If the jock doesn't turn up, they can call the residence to verify.

Some 10 days before actually arriving in Pattaya, I contacted DD in order to make a booking. My first choice wasn't available, so in a brief mail exchange they helped select a replacement.

Finally on the day I showed up the manager on duty didn't know about my booking, then proceded to inform me that Bang wasn't available.

Now, I don't want to be too fastidious because at the end of the day I had a good time, so I can let go that they didn't know about my booking and that Bang wasn't available.

Sorry you missed out on Bang my man. I fucked her in the back of Lucifer (her idea; followed her lead) for free July 2009. That girl is a true FREAK SUPREME!
