Do any of you guys have any thoughts on whether it matters who asks first? Who quotes first? Who makes the counter offer? Or am I overthinking this?

Never ask. Always tell. But don't quote low and try to negotiate. Just tell your final offer in first message / talk. Girls like to move fast too and like who don't waste their time.

There is no point in saving few hundred baht when you are here for experience and your 2 biggest expenses are flight and hotel. Most of the people here come for 3-10 days.

I normally pay 1500 baht flat, no tips. I ignore other counteroffers as I don't want to waste my time negotiating.

After some reading I decided not to spend money on a gogobar but one caught my interest.

So I have been in Pattaya about 130 days since beginning of August during rainy season and now high season. Walking Street is still my go to place for entertainment. Frequent Walking Street about 5 nights a week. Do know just little bit about the GoGo bars here and maybe a little bit about the girls. So here is my most up to date list of the best GoGo bars on Pattaya Walking Street. Sorry if you didn't make the list. Trust me, I've visited them ALL so many times, even the new Vy Agogo (old Panda). But at least the rest of the bars can have an internal debate on 6th place and beyond. - the Paw.

Best Girls Lineup: Pin Up.

PreCovid this award would have gone to Palace hands down. I stayed here during the entire COVID and watch bars try to open and then get shut back down. During that time, there was a change of power. Pin Up Agogo took over that spot, leap frogging Sensations, Baccara, What's Up, Sapphire, and the previous champ Palace. How? Management and ownership was able to lure the better and top girls and staff from the clubs I just mentioned. Seating and music can improve. Lighting is about average. My advice is to change it up a bit. It's a bit repetitive. If I can predict the songs and their order, then so can the girls. If the club seating is like it is with only minimal partial views of the club from a given seat. Then the girls need to parade around more to flirt and not just sit one place or in the back when it's not their rotation. Just my advice.

Best Looking Venue: XS Club.

Same ownership as Pin Up. This is a new club taking over the old Miami nightclub spot. Previously, before that, it was Alcatraz. Remember how dark that place was? XS is nothing like that. The boss put some serious thought into the design. I don't think there is a bad soft seat in the place. Chandelier in the middle is a lovely touch. Like how the LEDS lights reflect off of it. No cheap ping pong balls here. If you want to throw money, only money. Bathroom area is great and clean. Can be quite an adventure just going to the bathroom because it's coed. Girls and number of girls are decent. Girls, not better than Pin Up selection, even though some girls from Pin Up migrated to XS. Black outfits, even lingerie, focuses the eye somewhere else. Just saying I don't like this. Stick to the white. Better for reflection. Single white stockings on a leg does wonders on the customers' eyes and girl's height. Music is better than Pin Up though, as with the LED lighting. One world of advice on lighting for strip clubs. This formula holds true. Red lights + White stage floors + Blue spot lights or flashes = Brighter skin tones. If you don't know what I mean, go look at Baccara's lighting. That's just one of the ways Baccara lures Asians tourists.

Best Music and Environment: Palace.

I always enjoy sitting here listening their music mix. Their music along with the music from Imagine Club and What's Up were always the best on Walking Street. One night, long time ago, the Imagine Club DJ played so much good music, with some help from me and my choice of requests, that I made it rain inside the DJ booth there. It was all his to keep. Imagine Club just reopened last night (Christmas) but I didn't bother. There is a long story behind their closure. Same ownership as What's Up. All can say is in this industry, debt and broken trust, is a deep hole climb out of. Back to Palace. Girls at Palace are decent but far from their Pre COVID line up quality. Not as many in number as before. Some of those bounced to Pin Up. Lighting for the music is bright, lots of lasers. Has a nightclub vibe instead of strip club. Asians like this. Kills two birds with one stone. Palace tends to have alot of the lighter skin dancers, so the club shows them off. Bathroom has been redone and is upstairs. It's nice, roomy, and coed. There has been a remodel to the club up and down, but space is still limited here. It's a small club. For that reason, the girls tend to be more flirty and aggressive. When they are not dancing, they are still only 2 meters away from the customers. Free conversation and flirting are always the beginning of a paid lady drink. Interaction in a small closed space is the advantage. Management knows this.

Best Staff: Baccara.

The Happy Group wait staff rarely change to another club. Peppermint, Baccara, Happy, and Beach Club were their bars. Previous owner passed away last year and now only Baccara and Peppermint remain. They employ a lot of male waitstaff. And I always see them getting drinks and partying with the customers. Perhaps comradery because most are guys? Insider tips on the girls? The smart move here by management is they use the clean up person as the one who pushes drinks to an empty cup, not the waitstaff. That way customers don't get upset at the waiters. The clean up guy goes around and picks up empty glasses and wipes tables even with customers still sitting. When he sees something empty, he calls the waitstaff. So who is the blame? The cleaner? Sneaky move. That way those tips are still preserved for the waitstaff. Bathroom attendant will pop your neck and back for free, not just hand tissue. Girls are decent and plentiful here. Just silly how they are lined up to dance in from of empty chairs and mirrors. Please go back to the old way of parading them on stage, facing one direction, and moving up one space after a few minutes, until they step down or get called by a customer. That parade was so much better.

Best Happy Hour: Fahrenheit.

Not even any competition here because they open early. Most girls at 19:30 pm opening. Lots of pretty hostesses. Lots of dancers. Upstairs and downstairs. Topless. Drinks are 95 baht. Glasses could be a bit bigger, but just tell staff to make it strong and tip her. Club is dark. I have to do some squinting to see girls numbers. Music definitely needs a new pattern or shuffle. It's predictable. Too much hip hop in my honest opinion. Seating is bad for looking in the back, but I guess good for groping if you have a girl already. Girls are more than decent compared to the other options open at this time, Baccara and Windmill, Fahrenheit wins on value and entertainment for Happy Hour. 90 baht draft beer doesn't do it for me at the other two, sorry. I need the hard stuff. Also it's time to remodel that tiny bathroom and get rid of that single towel for everybody in the club.

P.S. Indians are allowed in most clubs (depending on seating avail) besides Palace and Baccara. Don't go in big groups 2-3 max. Dress accordingly. Buy drinks. Behave. Surprisingly, Sensations allows them unlike past history. I would try at 8-8:30 instead of later at night for all other clubs.

One thing increasingly on my mind this trip has been the process for negotiation. I note Sir Lancelot's recurring theme of success in countering offers (eg. , the girl asks 1500 and readily agrees to 1000 counter offer, or asks 3000 and agrees to 2500) at 500 below quoted price.

I've had some of the same luck in this regard when the girl quotes the price and I make the counter offer. But I've also noticed more and more that some girls are asking "how much you want to pay" and then automatically raising 300-500 from my quotation. This has been to my disadvantage (admittedly getting back into the swing of things and also adversely affected by LB calling the shots in my mind-heart-genitalia connection). So I'm trying to get faster on the draw and be the first to ask for price quote so that I can counter offer lower.

I'll tip my hat to some of you champion negotiators, as this is not my best skill (I'm sure many of our bros feel just as amateurish) (and I'm a cheapskate to begin with, ruining many a nights).

I've seen shops where this fellow has been. We all have seen them. Think indians and feet. No way in frozen depths of hell there are 1- 2 pretty girls in a shop.

You be doing great if you could find1- 2 pretty girl s in all of Pattaya to give a foot massage.

On a positive note the obvious Sex massage shops might have an ok looker or 2.

I'm keeping a closer eye on the shops as I walk past the last couple of days to see if I can make an accurate generalization. Of course, I don't know which girls do the foot messages and which ones do body / oil massages unless I go in or actually see them at work as I walk past. But I'm not (yet) convinced it's as extreme black and white as you put it.

But I saw what I saw in the soi 8 shop and in a good number of other shops. Though I would agree with you that the talent is not what we would all hope.

In fact my greater impression upon returning to Pattaya this past week was the overwhelming preponderance of grannies staffing the massage shops and beer bars throughout the city. Beer bars are the worst. We're talking bar after bar being flooded by nothing but ladies in their 40's, 50's, and I swear even 60's. Some massage shop milfs wouldn't be bad if they could just do a minimum of workout / diet control and lose 5 lbs. But that's another topic.

That was also on my mind. 200 is what the shop lists on the window and pamphlet when you walk in. But service attitude for repeat sessions at low prices may be another story. I don't have the experience in the massage sector, so I'm not sure. But with FL working girls, it has been as you say. You might get good bargains a couple times, but then they start to fudge, asking for more or giving less.

Yeah that's a good point. It depends on what time they close up. I arrived at the shop at 9:50 not realizing that they were going to close at 10. She and her colleagues looked at me funny. Then I found out at nearly 11 that everyone else had left except for the hot boss. 10-11 pm wouldn't be bad in my mind, but the outcall convenience, as you say, has its appeal.

Don't worry there are two Russian places they they are both clip joints but you can still land a lady if you are willing to pay fifteen thousand baht. Also be prepared to buy drinks that are like 3 times the price of other gogos.

Went last July with my best bud & wingman. Of course, we're the types looking to just kick back and relax, not much into Walking Street. Both trips we've made to Pattaya we have rented private villas through AirBnB, and wifed up for the duration with girls we connected with using ThaiFriendly. Good company, good food, good relaxation, being pampered 24/7 in and out of the bedroom.

It's back in full swing in Pattaya now. Was around 75% last week and the hoardes arrived for Christmas just 2 days ago. Like elsewhere, it is a shadow of what is was pre-covid, but it's definitely roaring fun on all sois, beach front, walking street, etc. As some others have reported, go go bars are becoming a drag with prices going up, fewer hot girls, fewer willing to be barfined (at least early in the evening), and endless milking of newbie visitors for extra drinks with no intention of leaving with them. I'll post some general updates of some places I've visited soon.

But still lots of fun to be had. Thai Friendly, Line, and Coconut Bar will swamp you with ST opportunities 24/7. Beer bars are romping, but lots of grannies at those places (guess they were hot when they first came in in the 80's.). But look at recent trip reports from Sir lancelot. He gives a very accurate up to date about overall situation. A couple sois are out of control with wild fun, and I'm guessing there will be more opportunities than ever later this when when some of the bulging Christmas crowds leave.

So yeah, Pattaya aint what it was but still is a damn fun circus. Book your flight mate.
