I agree. That's why I stick to ST. I made the mistake yesterday to take a girl out to eat instead of just giving her money to leave after the act and man I wanted to shoot myself in the face. This girl took two hours dragging me around Sukhumvit and T21 trying to figure out what she wanted to eat, in the end we ended up at the T21 food court LOL. My wallet was happy (basically got ST for 200 baht) but the time wasted and having to be in her company wasn't worth it.

About 80% is open. Expect more old / ugly ladies. Less guys / tourist.

Its open. Didn't go so don't know prices. Mainly indians go there.

Proof of vaccination OR a <72 HR covid test.

Insurance is NOT mandatory (but advised).

No. But for 1000 b you got a taxi.

Any of the expats know the rules for regular bicycle riding in Pattaya and Thailand like helmet requirements or stay off sidewalks etc.

1K Baht for ST and 2K Baht upwards for LT.

Not all places have opened up but by the time you visit, scene would be different.

Most pattaya ladies have more then one facebook account. Doesn't work.

More simple. If she is "GF" and she stays Pattaya. She is NOT a GF.

Check the Facebook account of one her female friends. If your lady has a second FB account, a female friend should be a FB friend of the second account.

Helmet is generally not required but a brown shirt may stop you, being that you a foreigner in order to squeeze baht from you, if the opportunity arises. Riding on the sidewalk is just not possible as there are too many obstacles, you may land head first in a uncovered manhole.

Hello gentlemen! I once again seek your collective knowledge and experiences.

I did end up coming to Pattaya and made what I guess could be described as a rookie mistake. I barfined, of sorts, the same girl twice. (I never actually gave the bar any money.) From there I guess I was "claimed" as hers. Recalling RakSopheni's post on the mongerer driven by sex vs those seeking a relationship, I can say that the trip was ruined at that point from a certain sense and perfectly acceptable in the other. At the end of the day, I think it's what I needed at the time. So that's not so much the point of the post.

Fast forwarding to the present, we're still talking and it's how we're talking that I wanted to ask about. She wants to talk all the time! (Did you just think "Yeah, whenever she is bored. ") But I mean video chats while I'm doing sometimes the most mundane of things: exercising, cooking, at work, just whenever. At bedtime (hers or mine), she wants to fall asleep on the line. Like we're sleeping together. It's like hours a day for months. It's a bit awkward sometimes given our other-side-of-the-planet timezones. Is this normal?

She tells me she loves me ("Oh boy. ") and my friend (non-mongerer) and I think she's probably working the "long con" (his word, meaning marriage). I'm not delusional or anything. I have no doubt she's with other guys. But as Explorer8939 mentioned, girls can fall for their customers (is this my hubris? I mean, for reference, she didn't ask for money when we were together. Although I did give her some. And only asked once a few weeks ago for a modest amount, but I declined.

Yes, this is very normal for thai people, they video call eachother all day long. You don't have to engage the girl in these videos all of the time, she don't expect that you focus on her all the time, just that the video stays on. Its not common for us westerners, but its pretty much an eastern asian thing or sth, they are not as productive as westerners and they are not as private as us, so they use this video call all day everyday and everywhere.

It will get tiresome if you always talk to her for hours, but if you just let the video roll in the background (sometimes not talking to eachother for 30 minutes or an hour, but that you still kinda see what she is doing etc), you'll get used to it.
