I'll be in Pattaya for three weeks in March (as well as 10 days in Philippines), diary incoming.

I've trawled back 100 pages but haven't found a lot of info about the new beer bar complex where Soi Made in Thailand used to be, I think it's called Myth. Any good? Does it have consistent barfine prices or is it all over the place like Tree Town?

Passed by tonight and it was quite busy, not super full but busy. Nice music, and nice atmosphere. Spotted some beauties too, but here YMMV. I just checked a bar where I had a drink and then left and the girl asked 2000 for ST and 600 BF.

I was on WS on Saturday night last week and it was jammed. Not sure what you are talking about. Could not move in Pin Up and XS or farenhight. Moon go go didn't have many girls left as they got bar fined. I could go on..........

At last someone who understands that there has not been any 50-100 % inflation in Thailand during covid. Its price increases because they want to make more money from tourists, nothing else. Thank you!

Its not about that, its about that the girls are adding +50-100% more than what they would ask from thaimen.

It did not used to be like that, prices used to be lower and more in line with what they ask from thaimen.

I can also go to Pattaya without breaking my entire bank account but I clearly see when they are setting special touristprices.

Do you think I don't know that? If I want to go see ladies in Bangkok who normally deal with Thai clients, I can. I can speak Thai and have no troubles paying these girls their 1300 baht ST. CFS. I take advantage of all the options. Crack on mate and waste your time fighting over 700 Baht. I could care less. For me, time is money. If you want to waste time over 700 Baht, that's your choice, it's just not mine. To each their own. It's your money. Not mine.

I don't have a problem with suppliers charging different prices to different customers. Prior to retirement, I did the same thing with my consulting business. The enjoyable customers were charged less per hour then the unpleasant customers. One of my customers was charged triple compared to my most favored customer. I didn't want to work with certain customers unless they gave me lots of money. The girls are looking to maximize their incomes while having the most pleasant work experiences. Essentially the same thing that I did. Why not?

From the buyer's perspective, I'm happy to spend top money for top service from a hottie. I'll also pay top money for a non-hottie if she has provided exceptional service in the past.

It's a Rare girl who would charge 3,000 to a Korean than charge 1500 to her neighbor next door. Makes no sense.

I can't see Superstar Rainbow 4 girl who gets multiple customers a night doing favor to a Taxi guy and charge him 500 baht. LOL. Hahaha. Unless Thai man better than Mr Nakamura.

One company (I think it was Chang) tried to go up on their bottled water prices and the government told them they could cancel that idea.

If Soi 6 went from 1000 baht to 1050 baht, then we could talk about inflation. From 1000 baht to 2000 baht, then somebody is getting ripped the fuck off. Has the price of your 2500 baht room changed? Because the price of my 4500 baht room has not moved 1 baht in 15 years and I am sure inflation would affect the seller that is my landlord.

So, in your mind, it seems that ST Soi 6 prices should be 1000 Baht plus the room and the girls are trying to move that to 1500 plus the room. I would say that you are sadly mistaken. Further, lets just say that you are correct and in your mind, ST on soi 6 should be 1000 Baht plus the room and the girls are now asking 2000 Baht plus the room. If that makes you want to take a break from Pattaya, you better just stop coming all together, as prices won't go down. Maybe Pattaya is just too expensive for you. It's funny about how some of us think inflation is non existent for sellers and only exists for the buyers. lol. So again, just don't come. You better not stretch your budget or you will be living in a fan room for 2500 Bhat per month the same as me.

Exactly. The level of mongering inflation shouldn't be double. Doesn't make sense. That's why I don't pay it and why as Explorer commented, I go to Thailand in low season for better pricing. At this point it seems like this EverythingThai commenter has a stake in bars on Soi 6 given the way he defends it.
