Whatever you do never get angry or hostile towards anyone doing so is it going to get your vehicle or bike fit NO! 99.9% of Thais motorbikes don't carry 3rd party insurance majority will play dumb and the poor can't pay so walking away means you suck it up the majority of times. Your car insurance will cover it knowing what I just said they aren't chasing anyone and expect your rate to go up next year.

Your assessment is very accurate as to Thailand after COVID-19, without beating a dead horse I have my opinion as to why it is the way it is today.
