Been here for quite some time and I'd like to add my 2 cents on this topic. When it comes to Digital work anywhere and concerns with geolocation, this is simple! Subscribe to a reliable VPN service and either install VPN software on your laptop or purchase a VPN router and connect to any US server (Preferable one from your home state if that's where you always connect). You'll show up with a US IP address and your employer will never notice! I've been doing it for years and works like a charm. Your Welcome!

One of the many BJ bars on Bong Koch 8 aka Soi Full Love Inn. It's only an 800 m walk from 3rd Road and Lengkee. I use this as a benchmark spot because 95% of the guys who visit Pattaya don't cross 3rd Road. Lots of reason to cross imo.

I certainly hope you don't go to Soi Kophai 10 to find Camel Toe. You may not find it. Camel Toe is on Soi Suk Sabai Villa. It's on the other side of Pattaya. Unless there is something new there are no other clubs or bars anywhere near it. Just a bunch of run down houses and a sports field.

Are the BJ clubs on Soi Bonkot open now?

Most multinationals would not care because they have VPN access points all over the world. There is no point to check. One or two months working internationally should not incur any tax issue. Salespeople do that already.

In Pattaya, things are way different than in BKK. I ended up walking and walking all the time on the first day. 10 Baht bus is superb too.

Can someone give me better suggestions about things? Where to get better girls? I am picking them from the 4 to 5 open bars on Soi 6. I know Soi 8 is also open. Anything else I am missing?

Busiest area is Treetown and LK Metro. Also soi Boukhaow in that area.

Get off the baht bus at Soi Honey and walk to Soi Buakhow.

It's not his salary. It is the company's potential tax liability.

There was one smoking hot girl there with hair down to her ass but we were told her BF takes care of her and she only works for drinks. Pity, she was prime grade A. About a good 15 girls, some pretty good looking considering its a BJ bar. Went on a bumble to the bars next door. They had a few girls but absolutely no customers. Did take a cutie in the back at one for a nice 500 baht BJ, worth every penny. Ended the night at Club 4 with more girls drunk and going naked on the stage.

Agree with BM, I don't see the tax issues if I am being paid in the currency and country my employer is.

Pre-COVID I think it was difficult to find employers who allowed digital nomads. Now with offices closing everywhere things have changed. I'm sure we all have enough transferable skills that if we really wanted to find a job where we could work digitally from Thailand we could.

I worked for a large company (over 20,000 nationwide). We had a separate department dedicated to security and monitoring activities. They would have easily caught on to people working outside the country. It's really not that hard. IP address gives the geo location of the connection. And the last thing a company (small or big) wants to deal with are tax fraud cases. So it's in their best interest to catch people working in another country and firing them.

I can't see the tax issue if your salary is paid (and taxed) in your origin and working country. On the other hand companies don't like the moral association of an employee supposed to be at home to work from a holiday resort whilst others stay in the office or work from real home. It can create frictions HR don't want to have to deal with. One must be in a very special situation or status to do so, as well as outperforming so bosses close eyes (up to a certain extent). I had such sort of privilege but always worked out not to show off and looked after business even if I was on short holiday breaks during overseas trips, for instance.

I've asked management before and it was a flat out no. This was when everyone was working from home.

Would your company object if they knew you were working from Thailand? If you can do your job at no added cost to the company, why would they care? Can you be sure no face-to-face meetings will be needed?

I never asked but I'm pretty sure that our general manager would object. Not so much because of face-to-face meetings, as the majority of them can be done with Zoom, but it's more a 'social cohesion' thing. He wouldn't like it when a part of his employees would work abroad, a part of them at home, and another part in the office. Ideally he likes all of us to come to the office as much as possible. Pre-Covid anyway. In the past two years he didn't mind, and even encouraged people to work from home, but now that the restrictions are lifted more and more, I'm sure he expects us to come to the office again in the near future. If we're lucky we are allowed to work at home for one or two days a week.

And the tax reasons that SinfullyKorean already mentioned, could also be an objection.
