Can you name the Thai bars you have visited where you see Thai men have no money to buy drinks for the girls? Thai men have bottle service and a smorgasbord of food for the girls. Poor little me buys the girls one beer at a time.

I've been in Pattaya now for over 2 months, been in lots of bars and I've only seen one Thai man inside a bar and that was at Club 4 which is well off the beaten path.

And that might have been LBM that you had confused for a Thai man!

So now Thai people are so poor that they can't afford to buy drinks? Maybe they are looking at the foreigner thinking what a sucker he is for buying those lady drinks.

For those of you who have been to Thai bars this is a real concern. I really have to check my ego at the door at these places. Especially true when I'm sitting with a girl a group of early 20's Thai men are waiting for.

Thai men in Thai bars is a different issue than Thai men in Farang bars.

Ladies working in Thai bars either don't go with customers, or their Thai boyfriends don't care if they go with customers. You might get some resentment from Thai customers that you have the money to buy lady drinks. And that resentment might, in rare occasions, lead to violence. But the odds are much lower than if a Thai boyfriend saw his bargirlfriend going with a Farang customer in a Farang bar.

I've been in Pattaya now for over 2 months, been in lots of bars and I've only seen one Thai man inside a bar and that was at Club 4 which is well off the beaten path. Am I missing these hoards of Thai men out on the prowl that everyone seems so enraged about? I don't think so. Never saw one Thai man set foot inside a soi 6 bar. Hard to tell if Area 39 is allowing them in since its a bigger place. Been to all of the bars in LK metro and not one Thai man sitting at any stool. Where do you see Thai men then? Well they are all sitting outside all of the bars taking a skinny Thai girl and a fat farang on their bikes back to the guys room and charging you double. Now Vietnam is the place where you don't want to approach a girl or two sitting by themselves, they might be waiting for a few Vietnamese guys to join them.

Also, in the past there were potential violent incidences between Thai men and ex pats and other farangs due to cultural and language differences.

My understanding from talking to expats who have lived in Thailand for many years was the owners have not allowed Thai men in bars for many years as they frequently misbehaved and many of the Thai woman did not like it because they were exposed to possible revealing of their occupation and place of work leading to other unintended consequences. Also, in the past there were potential violent incidences between Thai men and ex pats and other farangs due to cultural and language differences.

So what has changed since Covid? Nothing! So this is not a positive development.

Feels like the bar owners are so desperate for customers that they have eased their stance on this long held position. No good will come of this.

It actually looks quite nice inside. 2 floors. Love how the vlogger pretends to be ignorant on what the 3rd floor is for. Now there are 2 nice bars on Soi 25, this one and The Den. Bottom line is no nice girls no business no matter how nice a place looks.

Don't the girls have drink quotas? Bigger problem is mamasan / manager. I can't imagine any mamasan worth a dime letting one of her girls sit with a customer without a lady drink in front of her. Otherwise, I like your plan, would cut down on those 2000 baht bar bills.

Drink quotas depends on the bar and if the girl is on a contract. Most girls I sit with never worry about meeting quotas as they are the better looking ones. Yes there is the odd girl who prefers a drink to meet her quota. I just tell her to keep moving and come back in 15 minutes after she got her drink. Never had a mamasan/manager/waitress confront me with what I'm doing but I'm a familiar face in Pattaya gogo bars.

I have gained so much good first hand knowledge from the form so I wanted to give back. I met a good provider during my time in Pattaya. She was honest and dependable and provided a good service. She is middle aged and overweight (she told me it was COVID weight) but she gave and excellent rub and tug which is what I used her for to help put me to bed. First off, letting Thai men into the bars is a new thing.

I just really enjoy the atmosphere and loud dance music in gogo bars. Others don't. I'm going to a gogo bar as entertainment and to kill time. I'm not rich and I'm pretty cheap but buying a gogo girl a lady drink here or there doesn't bother me as long as I get a heck of a lot of entertainment value for my money. Like Horatio I like to assess the fun factor in a girl before taking her. I will never walk in to a bar and barfine a girl the first night. No need to if you live in Pattaya. Get to know the go and go with her on her day off. Mr. E is correct you can do this without buying drinks too although it's tougher in a gogo bar than a beer bar for new girls who don't know you. A half decent looking gogo girls who doesn't know you won't sit around an hour to talk unless she sees you are popular with other girls. I used to easily justify lady drinks in a gogo bar when they were 80 or 100 baht but now they are 160 to 220 baht. I now cringe if my bar tab is over 2000 baht and that's even if I'm in a gogo bar for hours and have 5 girls with me. I'd rather buy myself a drink and tip the 5 girls 100 baht each. Much cheaper that way. If girls still want drinks over my tip I send them away to another customer to get a drink and they return within 15 minutes. I treat it like a game. I am not hurt if one of the girls I'm with goes elsewhere for a drink or gets barfined. Everyone is replaceable and if there are no girls at that gogo bar for the night there are over 1000 other bars in Pattaya I can go to..

Some Pattaya gogo bars like Teerak allowed Thai men in pre-COVID. Thai men were allowed in to gogo bars as soon as the pandemic began in early 2020. With no Japanese and Korean someone has to pay the bills. Thai men are good customers because they drink a lot.

Something new this year: I am seeing Thai men coming into bars as customers, which used to be rare.

Now I am seeing Thai men hanging out in bars as customers. This will not end well.
