I was in Pattaya over the weekend and some bar owners are thinking that the January 16th opening most likely will be pushed to March. I hope they're wrong and the bars open in January.

I am in the mountains near Chiang Rai for a couple of days, with my ex. She informed her steady customer that she had to go back to the village urgently, and so she is spending a week with me.

I am meditating on my next moves for 2022. Omicron is coming, and there may a lockdown in Thailand again. This time around, I don't want to have to handle 25 ladies a week, so I might just have one lady move in with me. The question is who: I have 3 ladies doing overnights with me.

My ex's sister just got a new ring from her Thai boyfriend, posted about it on Facebook, but hid that post from me. I had no idea you could block Facebook friends from seeing individual posts. Anyway, it's probably time I stop barfining her, she needs to get a real job, and not hurt her boyfriend's feelings by fucking me when she needs cash.

I have to make a decision about my ex. She works in a bar, but her Farang customer comes to barfine her every day she works, because he can't bear to see her with other customers. What she really wants is to go back with me, so she doesn't have to work. But, she can't live with me for too long, she starts to really miss heavy drinking in the bar. So, if she moves in with me again, she will lose out on a possible long term relationship with her customer.

Meanwhile, there is a Mamasan angling for a long term relationship with me, but I don't know much about her.

I can't even define my own preferences, but I know it when I see it.

I know what I like when I see it too, however, over time (decades, 555) my photo collection of girls indicates that 3 out of 4 times I usually select cute, sexy, friendly, slender, natural looking, spinner, girl next door types. So that particularly differentiates me from guys who, for example, like / prefer large breasts especially in LOS or the PI. In Brazil I still hold the line on slender, cute natural and friendly, but tall girls are a great new treat for me. I am really getting into tall, slender. Brazilian girls.

Other factors go to individual taste. Tall versus short. Skinny versus some meat on bones. Tattoos versus none. Dark skin versus light skin. Long versus short hair.

The big difference in tastes East / West internationally is that most farangs, including myself, do not seem to care about skin color. I will take them dark or light. I don't care as long as they fit my "cute, sexy, friendly, slender, natural looking, girl next door" type. Meanwhile most NE Asian dudes and Thai men do care about skin color, and they put a premium on light skin color. They also seem to go for that Asian China doll look which some Thai girls like to cater to with their selection of hair style and make up.

As mentioned, the girls in the soapies and Gogo bars are Thai girls but they fashion themselves up to 'look' like that look. They do that with skin brightening products. Lots of money on makeup. Look up Dolly eyes style on Youtube to see the transformations, it's quite insane. And hitting up plastic surgery clinics to have that Kpop or JPop look to them.

Just put it this way, if they throw enough money at it, even a guy can look like those types of girls. And I'll admit there's a few times I'll see a stunner but it's a guy. The voice always is a dead giveaway. The way they say Hello rofl. It's never quite right ROFL. But hey, some peeps like LBs too. Haha.

He means that Thai people think farang prefer dark Issan girls. Which isn't true, its just that in Thailand all the hot white skin girls are taken by well off Thai men who still think white skin is best. Thus the leftover "hot" girls go for farang as its their best option. If you're a hot white skin Thai girl why would you work hard in the farang P4P industry for 2000/ night when you can dance at a Thai gentleman's club and get the same amount for just drinking no sex? And if you OK to fuck then a high end BKK soapy or private VIP entertain jobs pay more than any gogo bar work.

I checked BA's website as a tram player.

It tells me there are no direct flight and that they will try to reroute me via Qatar Airways / Doha. No doubt this will be suggested to you. It has happened to me on far too many occasions recently flying around Europe, where airlines are just keeping the main arteries open and then at reduced volume. If they are not packing in the punters (ha ha), they are in deep doo doo.

Though long haul is the place to be, not all long hauls are currently sustainable. BKK ISO ne of those hauls. I am just surprised BA did not work out an alternative hub and spokes eg fly everyone bound for SE Asia into Singapore and then work it from there. Airline companies are being kept afloat by massive government loans and something will have to give. There have been far too few gravity defying failures of late.

Just look at the ads around. Look at the videos playing. The commercials playing. The TV shows and soap operas. That's what Thai people think is beautiful.

They don't like the Treetown look. But like I said I'm not saying they're ugly. I'm just saying it's not my type. Lot of the girls in Treetown look super trashy IMO. And it sucks because when Walking Street was open, the girls in Baccara, Pinup, Palace, Panda were more the type I liked.

But I meant what I meant. It's not Thai, it's Farang who like that look. Honestly I never seen an old white guy with that Japanese girl look. They go for the super duper wide nose, tall, skinny, tatted, dark look. And if you like that look, you'll like Tree Town. If you don't, you'll hate it.

But yeah, just know when someone is pumping the f*ck out of Treetown, they're going for 'that' look.

And no, I meant Japanese. If you ever go to a subway in Tokyo, it's dead silent. They're very much about personal space. Chinese generally more louder, don't dress as nice, very loud and have no sense of personal space. They literally will be blocking you while you're walking down a street. And it's not that they're rude intentionally, they just don't know any better because there's no sense of personal space in China because it's so crowded. Usually the Chinese roll in large packs. Japanese guys, 2 to 3 at most.

My April flights on BA were cancelled last week, and the email from BA stated they were not flying this route until October 2022.

Got the refund surprisingly easily and quickly but alternative flights now are quite expensive. Still hope to travel out but not sure which way yet.

Are you saying that British Airways is stopping service to Thailand? My ticket next month is on British Airways and I haven't yet been notified of any change. A month ago I had tickets on another airline and my flights got cancelled a few days after I bought them. Looks like I'm going to need to buy tickets a 3rd time.

I did notice that current online schedule for British Air tickets to BKK now use Qatar for the final leg (and the prices are double what I paid about 3 weeks ago).
