Wrong again. In Pattaya many gogo bars opened well before 8 pm pre-COVID so no need to wait until 8 pm. Windmill, Happy, Baccara to name a few.

However, do agree that Bangkok is more or less only night time fun other than massage joints. Pattaya has massage, Soi 6, 20 or 30 BJ bars and G clubs, hundreds if not a thousand outdoor bar beers, all open from 1 pm or even earlier.

For what? The beauty of Pattaya is that you can always call over a different chick. There is no need to go out to find one or have one live with you because of scarcity. The stinking virus made my life much better. I picked up more hobbies and made more money investing. A few years ago you could find up to 150 girls at Sensations, over a 100 at Happy / Beach Club, Palace, Pin Up, Baccara, etc. There's Sapphire, Peppermint, What's Up/Imagine, and possibly Skyfall too but I don't go to those gogo bars often. We have very different taste in girls if you couldn't find lookers at these A class gogo bars. You must like the natural Thai look like Syzygies. There's only about the same amount of BKK gogo bars with 100+ girls. Maybe I'm ladyboy-phobic but I see most of Nana Plaza as ladyboys.

I wouldn't say I couldn't find lookers in some Pattaya go-go bars if I went into certain go-go bars in search of them. Just that there is (or was, during normal times) naturally a greater number of them of that level on view to all in and out of Bangkok's go-go bars. That not only creates more competition among girls of that level to offer somewhat better sex and attitude in order to score a customer but, most importantly to me, it inspires more competition among the 2nd Tier girls to offer demonstrably better sex and attitude to score a customer on their assumption that any customer could choose from among those highly visible and accessible Top Tier lookers any minute instead.

Unless you go into a handful of top go-go bars, the vast majority of customers and sub par or middling girls in Pattaya could easily think the overwhelming majority of sub par and middling girls on view everywhere in the city are the Queens of the Prom and if you don't like how they look or deliver in bed, get to work in those few go-go bars, start spending and see if you pass muster for the great honor of taking one to your room for standard, basic fare, if that, at silly high prices. Not so for sub par, middling or even 2nd Tier girls in Bangkok.

There are two markets on Soi Buakhao. One open Tuesdays and Fridays, early morning until the early evening, and sits near Tukcom. The other is past Treetown with Central Festival on the horizon and is open everyday. If bored, there is always some street action and girls ready for pick up in both markets. The latter, being the better of the two. The first is good for grabbing some Joe and people watching. Both has plenty of food and drinks. Normally, what I do is grab my bag and empty container and beg for some free food like the monks do here. All you have to do is stand in front of the Thai food stall or vendor with your container, and they will drop some food inside it. Then Monkeypaw chants a few words, blessing the vendor and their family. Works like a charm! Thailand has so much food that nobody goes hungry here, not even the homeless. Back when the bars and clubs were open, they used to have offerings in front of the businesses with some food, drinks, and alcohol, along with some incense burning. I would see random people like that tattooed dark skinned Thai who walks around in his boxers, take the food and the shots of liquor. It looked like a good idea to save a few hundred bahts. There have been times before I hit up Walking Street, I would do the same as a warm up and chug their shots they leave outside. The Thais really don't even say anything if they see you. Too bad the Westerners don't practice this, feed the dead ancestors and bring good luck, stuff. Just Monkeypaw, monking around.

We will never agree on this I know that already. Maybe it's my inexperience in Bangkok or yours in Pattaya. I've only done about 30 or 40 trips to Bangkok since 2015 never staying more than 1 week so I am by no means an expert on Bangkok gogo bars I guess. Well you have to travel to Bangkok to reach Pattaya so of course you should check out the action in both.



Still I spend most of my time in Pattaya just because I like the beach town so much more than the big city of Bangkok.

The whole city is an active brothel in Pattaya. The options are wide and get enough fresh air. It is an awesome vacation place packed with adult entertainments. With my experience of more than thirty plus visits in Pattaya since 2005.

Has my memory failed me? I remember paying about 1200 baht for bar fines at Nana Plaza. Maybe I got the special farang price. Butterflies and Mandarin were my most common bar fines. Most recently was February and March 2020.

Bar fines on Koh Samui were lower. Bar fines on Bangla Road were higher. Again, maybe my memory has failed me.
