It would be interesting if he were critiquing his actions and not hers. What he did wrong and not a about whether she was going to eventually scam him. He's an old guy with money and she's a young woman with youth and maybe beauty, God forbid if she wants some of his money. I really enjoyed his posts back in the day too. Now he just seems like a guy using someone and a bit of a scum bag.

If I recall correctly from one year or two ago, he really fell in love with her mainly because he could come inside her with no condom, having some kind of sexual problems when using condoms.

Damn you guys are really crapping on FL Hawk's story but you seem to be reading his story and commenting on it. Let's face it there is not much else to read about Pattaya during this pandemic. If it really bothers you that much just scroll past it. I am rooting for the alleged "89 year old guy" but this can't end well. I think FL will find out she is back at the bar and walk away from this potential mess.

I'm also looking forward to the final submission(s). FLHawk has handled this much differently than I would have, but that makes it interesting. I would have blown Secret off long before the story reached this point. I've never dated a Thai bar girl, seldom even do overnights with them. There are plenty of "good" Thai girls to date.

The story does feel a bit like "Private Dancer". If there is anybody on this forum who hasn't read "Private Dancer", I recommend it. Author is Stephen Leather and you can search around for a free *.pdf download. It's very light reading.

Experienced a new one yesterday. I had just had an infected tooth pulled and was chilling on the boardwalk on Pattaya beach with a mouth that felt like the size of a grapefruit. This SW walked up to me with 2 bags of takeaway food and wanted to share her food with me. When I explained my situation she got so dejected I thought she was going to cry. But even if I could have eaten something I really would have no interest in sharing her food, which seemed like a new way to solicit business. She sat there a few minutes just looking around and begrudgingly walked off in search for a customer. I could have misread the whole incident but I don't think so.

BTW The tooth pull cost me 1100 baht which included antibiotics and pain killers. Pretty cheap price.

Accepting food in a plastic bag from a random Beach Road SW, is probably twice as much dangerous than accepting a drink from a stranger in a nightclub.

But maybe this would have made your pain go away, while sleeping like a baby on the new beach.

Well no shit. There are literally millions of chicks to choose from, but guys go to these countries and decide to want to date the hookers.

And in FL's case I really do not get it. He definitely knows better. He showed me a picture of the beautiful girlfriend he had in Bangkok that was not a hooker. I said man you are lucky. He should have been sticking to that lady like glue. Now he wants to trade her in for a bar girl with problems that does not treat him how he would like to be treated. Go figure.

Go figure? Often the simplest solution is the most accurate, to a conundrum. I propose that the beautiful "girlfriend" was not actual GF but a girl FL wanted as a GF. Truth is what normal (non bargirl) beautiful lady wants to be seen with a man in his 80's who cannot provide constant economic, emotional and physical support. Like Dr House, says "everybody lies" and most often people lie to themselves for example saying they prefer fuglies or women in their late 30's, but in truth they know they cannot access the 20 yrs old with any measure of success ie reasonable attitude and reasonable price, so to cushion their egos, they tell themselves they not interested in 20 yrs old with model bodies.

We don't know how well or how badly this non-pro "GF" of his treats him, we can only know how "secret" treated him, but I'd bet it would have been much worse. Sure FL is a silly old fool, but I can't see him being so stupid as to run from a beautiful non pro GF into the arms of a 30+yr old damaged bargirl.

True not much to read but I have been skipping it as its just a badly written copy of "Private dancer" what's hilarious is that his failures are meant to educate the rest of us. It like listening to a drug addict about the dangers of drug usage, might be relevant to 10 yr old, but not much so to anyone over the age of 25 yrs.

I agree with this. Dating a regular Thai girl is fine albeit difficult to obtain and keep as a tourist. I certainly don't recommend dating a bar girl in Thailand. It would compare with dating a messed up stripper in your home town. Great to hang out with but you certainly don't want to date one long term. Also, as someone said it completely defeats the purpose of Thailand.

I still invite you guys to make a prediction as to the actual ending. Some of you carry on like you know how this turns out.

I guess I am beyond that. At first I liked your story and it does have some good parts. But you obsessively are evaluating her truthfulness to you. To me that doesn't seem triggered by her actions. Much more by your own personality. A Brazilian writer once said "The advantage of dishonest people is that they assume others to be dishonest as well and use that to their own benefit. The disadvantage of honest people is that they assume other people to be honest like themselves and often are deceived in this". You ask her to be truthful while going to other prostitutes. I guess that says it all and the end cannot be more telling than that. Your story doesn't tell so much about a relationship between a Thai woman and a Western man. It is not about informing others. It is about exposing yourself.
