The Soi of Dreams will turn into a nightmare if you don't lower youR expectations.
The Quality on the Soi is as Bad as I've ever seen. Number of said forementioned seems down too.
The end of the month / year / decade Discounts will be as usual from the Bottom of the Barrel type girls.

And he wouldn't be the only one. I've taken hundreds, no, thousands of Pattaya songthaews over many years and haven't seen as much as a pickpocket attempt. Now the jeepneys in Angeles City are a different matter. . .

Or "You" meaning the guy who talks too much. Or "You" meaning the guy dressed in flip flops, an un ironed shirt, with uncombed hair, and smelling like BO.
Asians such as the Koreans, Japanese, and even the Chinese believe it or not, when it comes to paying for pussy, are very easy going. They don't ask too many questions, they don't negotiate and just pay what the girl asks, they dress nice, and they just go with the flow.
So, who do you think the girls would prefer to go with? Think about it the next time you see a bar girl avoid you for an Asian dude and think about this when you get refused because she tells you she only works for drinks.

Mr E would say are you Bonkers. Baht bus is perfectly safe and efficient and cost wise, very good.
People don't worry about pickpocket s. That's on you. Don't Flex by having your wallet sticking out your Butt.

When I was pickpocketsed a long time ago. It was a lady boy trying to get to get me to go with her. She was pulling at me like girls on soi 6 do. Finally I got away from her and thought myself lucky to be rid of her. Later I found my money was missing. It was only 1000 thb that was loose in a zipped cargo pant pocket.
The most money I'll ever have on me is about 4000 thb, and that isn't very often. I'll have most of that in my phone case and about 1000 in a zippered bag type wallet.

However last night I was on the baht bus and at one stage a Thai guy stepped on the back of the baht bus. At first he stood at the back but later he asked me to move up a bit so he could also sit down. I could feel his leg against my leg and at that stage all the alarm bells should have been ringing. But I have never had any bad experience in Pattaya whatsoever (OK, maybe sometimes bad luck with a girl, but that's all in the game), so I wasn't suspecting anything at all. It was only after I had got off the bus and a few minutes later that I noticed my wallet was gone (with 10 thousand baht). I was really annoyed with myself, I thought that would never happen to me.
Sorry that happened to you.
But luckily when I go out, I only have money and a card with hotel name in my wallet. So the loss was only money. And I also keep a copy of my passport in another pocket (which is always closed).
This is a warning for everybody everywhere, always be careful when someone gets too friendly with you.
The first thing I did after that was get more money and I still had a good time that night. I made a mistake but life goes on, so I accepted my loss.

If one bar closes, we will do the same in others bars. In that sense, there is nothing wrong with that. We can choose how to spend our money just like the CC can as well.
What ticks me off are the guys that think that we ruin it for them or the Asians ruin it for them. That may be true, but those CC make their own choices and that puts them into a category where only certain types of Thai girls will be with them. So be it.
Amen, this is spot on. Plus I just like bars and seeing pretty girls.

1. I just like to have my money in one place. And when you open your wallet and the girls see you have a bit of money they get a bit more "active". Maybe I should have used a sachel like CaliGuy33 mentioned.

2. I enjoy watching girls dance at the GoGo bars. LDs are expensive but I don't care too much about that, the interaction with the girls is what I enjoy. So I make sure I have enough cash with me.

Why carry a wallet in Pattaya?
I leave my important credit cards, wallet and driver's license in my condo safe, and go out with cash in my pockets, along with a Thai bank card, and cell phone. Not too much cash, BTW.
