Taboo has been scary for 4 years. What a waste of prime real estate on Walking Street.

The options are very limited on WS now. Here is an updated list: Bliss, Taboo, Glass House, Fahrenheit, Palace, Windmill, (maybe) Annabelle's, Doll House, Atlantis, Tantra, Pin Up, Pacha, Moon Club and the Scam are Us clubs (Stars, Moulin Rouge, Coco, and the Ping Pong Show above Airport). Some clubs now have shifted to 8 pm opening and not 7 pm (the Sun is still out). All Clubs besides Pin Up are operating at 30% previous staff and girls. Remember the best and popular girls like Fern and Fha from Palace were making 200-250,000 a month. They have enough saved to last them for years to come and are all MIA. I limit myself to Pin Up and Palace, plus one extra brave entry to another club that dares to open. It has been a disappointment on that bravery. I would say LK Metro or Soi 6 is the better hang out before 8:00 pm. This trip I've done more walking into unknown areas like Soi Buakhao and Chaiyapoon that I've never done before. I get lots of "I know you" or "You remember me. " I would look and it's somebody I've never seen before or at least I think I've never seen before. Is this a desperate attempt at cat calling? Or am I missing something here.

Taboo on Walking Street just opened up. Went in for a drink. It should be a taboo itself from the emptiness and talent there. Scary.

Another Bangkok Post you will read is the 300% rise in application for Elite Visa coming out of Hong Kong because of the locals want another avenue to escape the Communist new ruling that 300% when dig deeper is just 50 requests. Whippy! It is all smoke and mirrors.

Too funny. It's a tough sell. Most people under the age of 50 wouldn't need to be in Thailand more than allowed by regular tourist visas. if you're over 50 you would just apply for a Retirement Visa for nearly free whether you are retired or not. 500k to 1M baht for 5 years is a lot of cash just for the right to stay in Thailand.

Quick, fast, good, and a bit expensive I would go to German Dental it is located on Thappaya Road. I had one last done 3 years ago for one of my crown molars which they put in just under 5 years. They drilled a small hole in the middle to save the crown and did the procedure the cost was near 20,000 baht.

You can also try Dental Idea, on Pattaya Klang up from Big see extra, just a bit past Foodland on the same side.

Should I book a trip for August? Is it worth it?

Normally my counsel would be to read previous posts discussing this. But it would appear that in all the pages of this forum there isn't a SINGLE post containing informed speculation on when the Thai government might relax the current ban on visitors from outside the kingdom. So naturally, Mr. "Jrealyo," who has all of 14 posts to his credit, asks guidance.

Here is my opinion. Booking a trip in August is *SO* worth it, dude. Every indication is that the Thai government will totally open the borders in the next 10 days. This is such a no-brainer that Mr. "Jrealyo" should book an airline ticket that is not refundable and not changeable. That way, he'll get the best possible deal on airfare. Perhaps even first class or business class. With regard to his lodging, he should pay for that in advance as well. I recommend booking a five-star hotel and paying the full rack rate in advance. As for method of payment, he should use something that will make it almost impossible to reverse the transaction. Perhaps a Western Union transfer to a Nigerian booking agent. Finally, he should immediately get on Thai Friendly and start sponsoring some girls with generous cash payments -- again by wire transfer. After all, it's absolutely certain that he'll be in the Land of Smiles in about 10 days. There is *NOTHING* to read in this forum suggesting caution is in order. To the contrary, he should shell out his cash now, the better to guarantee a GREAT holiday when the Thai government opens the borders in 10 days time.

Oh, and Mr. "Jrealyo" should be sure to post a detailed trip report of his holiday in Thailand in August.

The age of nice sweet girls on the game who clean up easily (so much you'd hardly suspect their former profession) were gone 5-10 years ago.

In the post-crisis period, Thailand won't exactly be teeming with regular employment opportunities for blatantly obvious bargirls with zero useful skills and the work habits of getting 2 k baht for 30 min of laying on their back. Some might go upcountry due to no customers, but I bet most will be back in Pattaya once the tourists are back. Unfortunately, the scene went down the drain long before Covid, and won't be any better afterwards.

Where did you read that you can get in to Thailand by buying a Thai Elite Visa? If so, I will buy my way in to Thailand!
