I couldn't agree more, but it is more nuanced for me. There is one GC in Pattaya (LE Poste) that I really wanted to like. It has a reputation for decent girls and is open in the afternoon before the street action gets going. I had barely cleared the entry and could not see much because of coming in out of the sunshine and I was ushered to the bar and asked for a lady drink. Long story shorter, I asked to be allowed for my eyes to adjust, a minute to relax and sip my beer and sent the lady away. About 30 seconds later the next girl just walked up and asked me to buy her a drink. I politely declined and told her she was not the type I was looking for. I sent 4 girls away in less than 5 minutes and finally asked the mama / manager if I could get a few minutes to look around and enjoy one beer before being asked again. She said "sure" and of course about a minute later here comes another lady. I politely told her no, stood up and told the mama she had lost a potential good customer and more than a few drinks and ST from me all because she didn't respect my request and walked out. Never is a long time, but I do not plan on darkening that doorstep anytime soon.

Really, too many girls keep approaching you wanting to fuck, and that bothers you. I am sure you have exactly the same issue back in your home country.

Went to Soi 6 tonight and had a great time.

Red Point Bar.

500 room fee + 1500st + 195 worth of drinks.

2195 baht total for a comfortable room and a good looking, friendly 20 yo girl. No rush, no clock watching.

As far as being "cheap" and being a "one drink guy" well I think the bars need to offer more if they want more money. They offer nothing to me other than to collect some girls in the same location. They lost the advantage they had in the pre-smart phone days.

I will always be a 1-lady drink guy in the bars and if things aren't going to go how I want. I will leave.

Agree. Buying one drink for lets say the interviewing process. But. Why wasting time & money on drinks sitting with girls who barely speak English anyway?

Soi6 is not really my thing but couple of years ago I visited Red point bar just asked the girls sitting outside which one does anal and took one upstairs.

No drinks no crap conversations, just agreed on price (I think it was 800+room) and went to the room.

This happened to me at Babylon Paradise Lounge on 3rd road, I reported it at the time a few months prior.

Not only was I pestered for drinks, the girl I chose to lounge with and bought a drink for barely stayed with me for a few minutes before spotting one of her regulars and trying to have me take another girl to so she could switch to her regular. I ended up leaving right there and letting the female bar lady in charge know about what happened, not that she cared. It's experiences like these that make me reluctant to do the bar / gc thing too much and instead just stick to TF and simply approaching ladies during the day as I am out and about.

Indeed, the majority of us could care less if a bar makes money. And if Soi 6 closed, other bars would open to takes its place. Bars / GCs are constantly opening and closing, so who cares if Soi 6 was no more? My job as a monger is to get the best value I can for my mongering experiences. The bars viability and operability are not my concern. In that vain, 80 percent of my mongering is TF anyways. We all have our preferences. I know some guys hate TF and prefer picking up ladies from bars. To each their own.

Pestering is their job. Refusing or getting out of there is your prerogative. I do not blame them. It is the nature of their business. Just like shopkeepers who do the same.

There is a balance. No one has an issue buying drinks, being pestered for drinks non stop is another thing altogether.

In summary, the car dealership is the perfect example. Guys go into a dealership where selling cars is the main business model and complain about the salesmen pushing them to buy a car.

Actually it is not. The stealership makes their money off of selling you the parts and labor for jacked up prices. You can talk them into selling you the car for very little above the price they pay for it. The salesman pushes the car because that is how he makes HIS money. But that is not my concern. I am there to get the car for the cheapest they will sell it to me for.

Case in point, I was at the mall the other day trying to buy an incense holder. The price on the sticker was $6. I asked the salesperson for a discount. I do not know whether she works off commission or salary or how she gets paid. I do not care. I want the product for as cheap as I can get it for. She said sure and called the owner on the phone. The owner said $5. I said tell her $4. The owner agreed to the $4 and the girl hung up the phone and I left with what I came there for. That owner knew that $4 was better than $0, same as those Soi 6 bar owners know that you taking a girl and paying 400 baht for the short time room is better than 0 baht.

I beg to differ. Soi 6 is in the business of selling drinks. The girls are there to convince you to buy drinks. Thats how they get their salary.

There seems to be a communication problem. How the girls get their salary is between them and the owner. The customer has shit to do with that. As a customer I am not patroning a business to make sure the workers are able to get their salary. I am going for the product or service that I am interested in. Not my problem if the owner promised some chick 10,000 baht if she sells 50 drinks and negative 1000 baht if she does not. I was not there for those contract negotiations and neither do I care. That is between them. Hell, you (not you per se, but in general guys) would not even know if you were not so nosey. I am there to get what I came there to get, not to make sure the girl has a good paycheck and the owner has enough money coming in to stay in business. Nobody walks into McDonald's worried about if the staff is paid by the hour or per Big Mac sold. Why should they do it at bars?

If they want me there buying drinks instead of pussy, then take the pussy away and I will not come there trying to buy pussy. That is like McDonald's selling Big Macs and salads, but you telling a vegetarian not to go if they only want a salad because they make most of their money from Big Macs. So you are saying the salad should only be available to you if you are buying a Big Mac too? Never had a problem going to one of these places and the owner telling me that I could not buy pussy if I did not buy a bunch of drinks to go with it. I have had some girls try that bullshit, but never an owner. Owners know every drop in the bucket counts toward their bottom line. Chicks only care about the money they stand to get or lose due to the contract they agreed to (which ain't my business!

How hard is it to ask a lady if she does ST before buying drinks? I'm the exact opposite of a social butterfly myself, and really don't like the kind of atmosphere inside clubs, when when you're going into a bar for a girl, it is a business transaction and should be treated as such.

Unless you are only there for drinks, and drinks only, you need to ask if they boom boom before you open your wallet, if that's what you are wanting.

I think most of the guys on here could not care less if a bar makes money or not and we all understand that. However, if you enjoy going to Soi 6 because of the sheer number of ladies there for hire, then remember that if the bars don't make money, they will close and selling drinks is their number 1 source of revenue.

That is the beauty of Pattaya. No matter how many times a bar closes, someone else comes right along and opens another one in that same spot. I guess they think the last guy just wasn't doing it right. As they say, to make a small fortune, start with a large one.

I agree. Drinks should be a sales pitch from the girl to take her up. And should include tease and foreplay. Whats the point of sitting across an illiterate village girl while she sips (or gulps) sugar water? Thats why buying drinks in GCs and even some gogos like Kink and Windmill is fun. I buy lots of drinks in places where that includes foreplay with the girl. Otherwise, I don't see the point.

For me Pattaya is not Drinks town it is Boom Boom town. I don't care much what the girl does during drinking as long as its followed by FS afterwards. No Boom Boom no drinkee.
