Thank you for all of this! I don't have a deposit yet; I have a flight booked, but I grabbed it on a super flash sale. I got Delta one from the states for about 8 x lower than the usual cost. I can cancel if needed, and would only lose about $300 USD. I don't have a hotel yet. Maps wise, I saw your post before on this and I already bought the map! Sorry for missing the restaurants, I swear I added them to my map as I saw then, but thanks for the suggestion about Casa Pascal. I know about the hotel thread and did a deep dive in there already Right now, Whitehouse Condotel looks great!! Here is my tip for jetlag for everyone. Having done about 30+ USA. Asia trips here is my secret. If this doesn't work for you, or you don't like it, or believe it, I'm not worried. Just sharing what works for me.
    • Calculate your arrival time and start working backward about 2-3 days ahead of time. Stay up LATE and force yourself to be tired. Annoying, but if you want to make the best of you trip, and can afford to be tired at home, this part is pretty critical
    • Tminus two days, start skipping meals on your time zone. Snacking is fine, but no major meals. This will throw your body off its the usual routine.
    • Try not to skimp on the flight if you can - if you can, rest well. As stated above, I often plan my visits around the flights, not the dates
    • Get on the plane and stay awake during the time zone you are going to. Sleep when it's night there (Ambien + alcohol helps), and wake up when you would wake up in the timezone you are landing.
    • Eat meals on the time zone you are landing in, and eat big. If you are not hungry, force your body to eat here as it will need energy to digest the food and help you adjust to the sleeping hours faster
    • Once you land, stay awake: Redbull, exercise and if you are tired - DON'T LAY DOWN UNLESS YOU ARE FUCKING

Mr. Travel's Toughts In Advance of His First Trip

    • Hotels - Some people like are adamant about AirBNB, some like hotels, some like The Hilton, some Queen Victoria. In my short answer, I'm going to stay someplace in between Soi6 and walking street. No idea where yet, but will likely grab something in Dec to ensure my deposit doesn't just melt away with so many things closing.
    • SOI 6 - sounds like people like this, and then hate it as well. A mix of hotels, restaurants, bars, and places where you can get a girl if you are not just ugly, or an asshole. Grab a girl, sit down with a drink, chill, and get blown. If you like it, get their number and LT later, or just ST then. I mean, seriously, it sounds like you can grab lunch, sit around playing with titties, get a blow job, and all in you are less than $50 USD. Guys - I have paid more for a burger and beer in some places in the USA for that kind of money. This is the place I'm going to start my hunting each day that I don't have a online chick lined up
    • Walking Street - A lot of people are pissed off it got too commercial. Sorry guys, the world changes. Sounds like it could be a lot of fun, or a whole lot of rip off pending who you are, how you act, what money you have or don't have, and whom you are with or not with. Tons of variables, and likely a pretty solid hunting ground if you are willing to pay a bit more. Plus, seriously, there is a Hooters there. Gotta bang a hooters girl, in uniform, this is a bucket list item for me.
    • Money - Nice to know the going rates, don't overpay, but if you want to splurge and get 4 girls at a time for a nice group BBBJ and fuck, I'm not about to sit there and think "is this really worth the $150 to me, or should I try to pull it down to $130. Spend your money wisely, don't flaunt it, don't be an asshole, and if you play your cards right you can get great service for a great price.
    • Food - I went back literally 100 pages guys - and I saw THREE restaurants listed. Pattaya Brewhouse, SandMan sports bar, and Hooters.
    • Maps - I found a couple of maps. But they were WAY outdated.

I'm boots on the ground (fingers crossed nothing major changes) on January 22nd 2021.
KUDOS to Mr. Travel for doing what everybody should do, which is go back several months and read old posts to get the general lay of the land. I realize the signal-to-noise ratio here is sometimes poor. But judging by his most recent post, Mr. Travel skipped a few salient points.

TIMING -- My personal view is that January of 2021 is too soon. I just don't think the virus concerns will have receded by then. I know he says he has a "deposit." But I recommend caution. Better to forfeit a hotel deposit than sink good money after bad.

HOTELS -- You realize there's a separate thread for hotel information, right? I've long recommended the Whitehouse Condotel for first-timers, mostly because the location is so good. Search my my prior reviews.

SOI 6 -- You seem to have the impression that oral sex is available in the bar, in a semi-public setting. While I'm sure that's occurred in the past, it's not commonplace. Indeed, an increasing number of Soi 6 bars are open to the street these days. Finally, as you noted elsewhere, the soi is crawling with people recording the scene. If you want a blowjob from a Soi 6 girl, you'll probably have to pay the bar for a short time room upstairs and retire there. If doing it in the bar proper is your thing, check out the Soi Bongkot gentlemen clubs.

HOOTERS -- It's not on Walking Street, it's considerably farther north.

MONEY -- You're free to measure relative value against what's available in the United States at USA Prices. But please know this will draw the ire of The Pattaya Price Police, who argue (with some logic) that it's a micro-economy that should be evaluated in isolation from what adult fun might cost elsewhere in the world. I *generally* agree that for your typical guy on holiday it doesn't make sense to haggle too hard over 500 baht here or there. But as the Thais say: Up To You.

FOOD -- There is quite a bit of food discussion here. You must have scrolled past it. Check out the food stalls on the west side of Soi Buakao, just north of Tree Town for a wide selection of farang-friendly chow with tables and chairs to eat. If you're jetlagged your first few days (and who isn't?) check out the Casa Pascal breakfast buffet. You're welcome.

MAPS -- I realize it's heresy in this age of Google, but buy an old-fashioned map today and study it while you prepare for your trip. You'll get a general idea of where things are more easily than you would looking at a map online. I recommend the Groovy Map of Pattaya, which you can buy from Amazon. And don't forget to learn where the major baht buses run.

One person's tribulation is another person's triumph. This Covid thing is still going my way. When I met the soapy chick that wanted 500 for short time, I said I was sure I could get her to come long time for 700. I never said anything to her about it, but today she hit me up asking to come long time for 800. I declined her offer because my girlfriend is off on weekends and she comes over. Just talked to her and she is too tired and will wait to come tomorrow though, so I have another free chick on the way.

Case 744 reported by Ministry of Pubic Health 24-March, American Male aged 69 described in Thairaith as having chronic kidney disease, admitted to hospital in Buriram 9 March, intubated 23 March (which ties in with your post of 26 March), passed 7 April as death number 30. (https://data.go.th/dataset/covid-19-daily and https://www.thairath.co.th/news/local/1815129 in Thai).

It was around 23 - 24 March that the previous requirement for all positive tests to be re-tested at a second laboratory in Bangkok was removed as it was taking the best part of a week or more to get confirmed results, resulting in a surge in the case count around then as the dam was removed. I'm not defending this, just telling how it was.

As to the Dijon oceanfront property, I'm afraid it just doesn't cut the moutarde.
Interesting. Could be the same person. Thanks for posting this as the information I was given was sketchy.

One was a lifelong, dear friend in his early 60's with no known underlying medical issues. At the time of his death the governor of Buriram was reporting zero cases in a news article. Obvious lies as my friend's wife was also in the hospital with C19 as well (she survived).

Say you pay 4,000 for an average Happy girl just because you like her. I say don't worry that you are inflating the market price for others, the frugal types. The market price is based on millions of transactions over time. If the avg girl thinks she is going to get 4,000 every time time she will prolly starve to death. The market doesn't support the 4 k.

Do you really think a fella who gets 50% off regularly is keeping market prices down for all of us? NO. More like the quality just isn't there.

You make the call. I say spend what you want.

So you know this because you have tried it many times and it never worked? Because the 47kg (I have a scale in my room and she got on it talking about how she gained 2kg) light skinned chick that is in my bed right now told me 2000 baht for short time yesterday. She told me she used to work at Peppermint Agogo. I told her 2000 baht, NEVER. I pay 500 baht for short time and 1000 baht for long time. We settled on 700 baht for short time. 65% discount? 14 hours later and she is still here. But I will write that report on what a big waste of time taking 2 seconds to bargain was later.

P.S. They are renting pussy. It cost them nothing. They were born with it. Know what they are worth? LOL. Tell that to the Thai guy that has had his foot in her ass her whole life and see what he thinks about it. Sounds like you are playing the simp card.

Its mostly a matter what a guy fancies. Those that like discounted girls like a girl who's face is not one of her strong points. Maybe a bit hefty, or too dark.

    About Indians. Hahahaha.

I like LBM take on the economics of Pattaya. Personally for the majority of Pattaya girls I just don't see how they make money. In popular Nana Bar I see 10 girls barfined in 15 minutes many a time. In Pattaya one girl is barfined in one hour.
I have never been much of a Price Policeman and I generally agree with you that girls who know they can get a customer for their asking price in 10 minutes are not likely to give you a 50% discount out of desperation.

But I will say there is value in engaging in some form of the bargaining process even if you don't get a 50% discount, if you only get a 20% discount and even if you get no discount at all from their initial asking price.

For one, it conveys the message to the girl that the money and what you get for it matters to you.

And for another, you might agree to pay her asking price (if she will not budge from it) but only if you get this and that in the room, things that are really important to you but are not typically on the regular menu.

That is bargaining/negotiating for better "assured" and agreed upon service rather than for a lower price. Often MUCH better service.

I am a big fan of that form of bargaining, particularly when a 500 baht difference either way is relatively meaningless. Hell, 1,000 baht difference is often meaningless to me if it is the difference between getting exactly what I want from this exact girl I want or walking away to continue shopping and spending on drinks (if only for myself) and other shit along the way.

IMO, there is real value in making the effort to bargain for at least those two reasons.

Yes, not only in Pattaya when it comes to Bacteria / Hygiene it isn't taught in the Thai government school, what little is can't be applied or re-enforced in general in a poor Thai home.

LOL. Boy these mfs are funny as shit. Chick I picked up last night didn't want to put her helmet on and didn't want to take her mask off! She still had that mask on 5 minutes after we got to the room. I had to tell her to take it off. Bih had the nerve to tell me how important it is to be safe. You were not telling me that when I was handing you that helmet. I guess they pick their own poison. Already more people have died in drunk driving accidents since they opened alcohol back up on Sunday than have died from Covid in the past few months.

I thought I would share this for everyone who might want to be considering a trip there when things open up. Just FYI. I have a trip booked in Jan, and before I get the haters telling me it's high season, it's the only time I could pull away that far for a week, so willing to brave the crowds. Also, my guess is that it won't nearly be as crowded next year given Corona, and I don't' want to have moist balls all day while I'm outside, I like to save that for when they are in a girls mouth.

    • Mr. Ent (and many many others) knows what the fuck is up. He is boots on the ground, knows his shit, and likes to fuck women. Period. This guy has been a solid contributor for a long time. Many others fall into this category as well, but he stands out for sure with his no-bullshit attitude. Bro, I'm really hoping to pick your brain about my wishlist closer to my trip. Will do a lot of planning but would be nice to buy you a beer for all the amazing work you put into this board
    • Hotels - people vary a lot. Some people like are adamant about AirBNB, some like hotels, some like The Hilton, some Queen Victoria. In my short answer, I'm going to stay someplace in between Soi6 and walking street. No idea where yet, but will likey grab something in Dec to ensure my deposit doesn't just melt away with so many things closing
    • Soapies - some people like them, some people don't. Maybe overpriced, may not be. Each person has their own budget - but the idea of a beautiful woman who is above average giving me a soapy sounds like a great fucking break in between blowjobs, short times and breaks for food
    • GoGos - some people hate these, and most people agree they are overpriced. To me, it's a cheaper version of an American strip club. I love the idea of buying 3-4 girls' drinks while they put their titties in my face and jerk me off there. This sounds fucking great if you have the money. If you don't, or just don't like to spend big - they stay away
    .
Thanks for change the conversation about the virus and finally write something I'm interested to read.

About the map, it'd be awesome if you can share it!
