Posts: 3114I think some items are missing here?
It is assumed maybe due to the distance the Chinese and other Asians will be returning to Thailand first or other mongering locations. What is missing in the discussion is first before one arrives and leave are the restrictions going to be lifted? Like Thailand are they still going to require a medical certificate within 72 hours of arrival and an insurance policy to cover minimum 100,000 baht, is there going to be a quarantine one end or both otherwise I don't think anyone is going anywhere?
Then you got the biggest one of all the ECONOMY Thailand government the way they are certainly will welcome the Chinese back but even the virus the number was already down the ones who were coming were more of the middle class that we're able to come in much smaller groups it was surveyed that 60% of the Chinese visiting weren't in large tour groups. I could attest to that by the number of venues built on the Darkside larger than any Muay Thai boxing venue all in one including parking for the large buses to retain the tourist all closed ghost town even before the virus.
Today, the number for the USA Unemployed on unemployment 40 million and growing, business lining up to file bankruptcy J. Crew, not to mention all the restaurants. The key Thailand nor China, Korea, Japan are exempt their economies are hurting, and when hurting who has the money to burn regardless of how close you are. Then.
You got the airlines, vacation industry, and hotel all projected that prices will go up! Until a vaccine is found you are talking about a 8-12 months airline must take caution and use social distance on their flights less capacity higher cost this is the same for hotels no one is going to stay in business continue to take a loss and providing a discount. In some sectors, it is projected 2-3 years before the economy gets back to pre-virus.
I projected a war between China and America it is here now the virus has brought everything to the front if not a physical war it will be a trade war what we experience prior to the deal reached in December will be nothing going forward it is going to affect everyone everywhere if China doesn't start buying as promised and that has nothing to do with taking responsibility for their lying regarding the virus.
For the last week I've been seeing on the Darkside and in-town business of all shape and size removing their furniture, they are done. It doesn't seem bars or GoGo are on the list to open for another month to June 15th, that is a death blow.

Some countries are blaming China for the virus but Brooding over it here does not change anything to the scene.
What matter most is which country is opening up for our hobbies and whether we are allowed entry.
Asian countries numbers are low now compared to Europe and USA on WHO's lists whether you think it is false or not.
The countries involved in allowing entry of foreigners will decide on that.

Posts: 3114I think it is hard if not impossible to report all the testing and data accurately most countries if not all are doing their best. Here is how I separate my opinion I look at past performance although no indication or guarantee of future performance if an individual or country in this particular case (China) has a habit of lying, holding back the truth or just providing half when it is clearly red they tell you with a straight face it is blue, the timeline is all there as to what China did regarding the virus take that history I got to be suspect as to what comes out of their mouth now and in the future I apply this same principle to P4 P too.

Thailand, with almost 70 million people, will have much more than the less than 3000 "officially" infected people. How much will be the real value? That's anybody's guess.

Posts: 220Frankly the atmosphere in this bar is grim. This video was filmed at Pattaya.
But if in addition you have to endure 14 days of quarantine on arrival, be deprived of alcohol, undergo police raids and spend the night at the police station, I still prefer to stay at home with YouPorn.

Thailand seems ok according to this site https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries.
I guess their main threat is Westerners though no way can the Chinese figures stack up (eg no virus in Beijing).

I wouldn't worry too much about translation and stuff. The liquor ban isn't supposed to be until tomorrow midnight and then the easing up! It was a madhouse out here on the Darkside local whole seller for liquor pack with locals act like there is prohibition coming or something. This one idiot was so much in a hurry to get inside the warehouse he forgot to set his brakes the small truck roll down the Soi into another guy house.
Noodles houses opened for in house eating no social distance, the local outdoor market checking for temperature, and drop of alcohol in your hand before you enter no one in sight to check now. There is supposed to something like 4 stages to reopening it's all gone crazy even before the first day?

Chonburi PR have posted details of the latest order from the Governor to their Facebook (not sure if links to Facebook are allowed under ISG's "No links to competing forums" rule).
I believe the list is of businesses ordered closed runs to 31 July 2020 - it is slightly confusing as Google translates the date as 31 Nov. July 63 but this seems to be a Google translate problem where "Nov" is inserted into Thai dates, of course there is only 30 days in November. 63 is Buddhist era number for 2020.
The list reads (don't blame me for repetition and strange translation, this is how Chonburi PR posted it):
Cinema, cinema.
Pub Bar Entertainment.
Amusement Park.
Playground in water market and flea market.
Zoo Zoo.
Roller blade skating place.
Fun Billiards table.
Bowling game cabinet.
Game Shop Internet shop.
Public pool.
Rooster Stadium.
Fitness.
Conference Center, show center.
Museum of museum.
Library library.
Nursery.
Boxing Stadium.
Martial Arts shed.
Tattoo place or body piercing.
Dance Institute.
Horse field.
A place to shower, steam, herbs.
Shower, massage.
Phra Machine Center. Beauty Clinic. Weight loss and beauty treatment.
Healthy Massage Spa. Thai massage.
Competition field.
For the sweaty unwashed beer branded vest (singlet) wearing hoards "A place to shower, steam, herbs" probably means a sauna spa. It is not an excuse to avoid the shower in your room! It seems my Prince Albert piercing and accompanying tattooed inscription of "Made in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. " will have to wait even longer.
If previous orders are anything to go by "Public Pool" and "Fitness" include hotel and condo facilities, but you can never be sure.
There is no mention of beaches in either the "ordered closed" or "allowed to open with disease prevention" list, but public parks are allowed to open for exercise but not for crowds or congregation.
As usual I would add the warning of "THINGS CAN CHANGE QUICKLY", so the above doesn't necessarily mean bars, etc. WILL open on 1 August, and it also doesn't necessarily mean that the order won't be relaxed or rescinded earlier.
