Funny. I just happened to be on Soi 13/4 reading this. I was sitting on my bike on Beach Road and the police came through slow rolling saying on the loudspeaker that everyone must go home and there is no exercising allowed in public.

I think you are talking about Sue's Place. The door is up and 3 ladies are sitting outside, but I don't think they are doing any business. I have eaten Mexican food there before. My ex-girlfriend used to work at the hotel across the street from it.

The food giveaway pop ups are still happening. Today I have seen at least 5 in the half hour that I have been out. So once again, if you think "your girl" is here starving, she is not.

When I went to The Reef last month, I met an older lady from Austin, Texas who said she has been living here quite a while. I also met the owner that day. It was not the same guy that owned the Tequila Reefs here and in Angeles City. It was a young guy. Not sure if he was Thai or what. But that could explain the better quality. I certainly agree that it was better.

TR, I don't think the guy owns the place any longer, the original owner died the guy was his son? From Angeles City, I think he tried his best but when the least was up it was time to walk away based on what had to be paid you got to be crazy. Only one waitress from the old place is working there now the last few times I did notice the ladies you mentioned but I didn't speak to her there was a guy one time Thai, waiter he spoke the best English I've ever heard from a Thai I felt he wasn't educated in Thailand maybe it was the older lady son from Austin? I will get the load down next visit, of all the places I've tried Mexican I still like their food even better now! A while back but I might still own the Taco eating record Tuesday special stopped at 15.

Just in? The checkpoints will start 16th, at 14:00 but they plan to do a trial run tomorrow 15th, at 15:00 - 18:00 thereafter all the official will meet at city hall.

I think Tequila Reef, their clientele is different now but you can eat inside as long as you keep the distant I recently ate outside. I've found since they moved their quality has improved. There is also Sam's not sure they are opened now but they are located just off Beach road, 13/4 as soon as you enter it is a bit down on the left a small shop house might be opened for take out. I know 13/4 is Boy's town.

Or as you know it, and here I am trapped in Pattaya with a bunch of party girls during an alcohol ban. Now it's time they took care of me, but of course I can take care of my self. All those who are stuck here should throw a house party.

By the way. Beach Road girls 800-1000 (grab them around 8:30 and you will get a discounted LT rate because of curfew). ThaiFriendly 1000-1500. Go go bar girls I know have reduced themselves to 1500-2000,3000 for LT. And the ones I like also know how to party and play. No where else in the world I'the rather be.

I went riding around about 5:15 pm. Picked up a couple of things from Foodland then checked Welcome Town to see if The Reef was doing business. There were people inside eating. Maybe they are connected to the owner. I may go get lunch from there tomorrow.

At the football field by Regional Land they were giving out free food. The line was wrapped around the block. Went down Soi Yensabai and a chick flagged me down and asked for a ride to Soi Skaw Beach. She said she has been doing massage in Korea for the last couple years and was supposed to be in Pattaya to work on Soi 6. When I dropped her off she kept trying to get me to come in with her but no thanks. I headed down Soi 7 to Beach Road.

There were plenty of people around and plenty of cars parked at the beach. The police were walking and riding down the foot path shooing people away. On the other side of the street there were plenty of chicks looking for customers. I continued down Walking Street where I saw my ex girlfriend and her friend out walking getting some exercise. She was a long way from Arunotai, but I guess that was the point.

I went down Soi Buakhao and there were many women walking looking for customers. This must be something new because I have not seen it before. I stopped at Hungry Hippo to get something to eat. It is one of the very few places still open that serve Western food. Matter of fact only other places I can think of are pizza/Italian joints and The Reef as mentioned above. While I was waiting for my food, I got the Line of a couple of passing chicks.

A free chick stayed with me the last 4 days without even going home to get a change of clothes. This morning she had to go to her room because she said her friend sent a message that she is moving to a new place. Don't know if her and the friend were living together or what. But she was there waiting when we pulled up. I am about to go pick a Tinder chick up now. 1200 LT.

P.S. Today I talked to a chick whose place I stayed at a couple weeks ago. The hotel/apartments is owned by some Indian people. She said they are no longer letting people come in who are not staying there because of Covid. I told her next time she could come to my place then.

If you haven't tried it just around the corner from Hungry Hippo, right behind the TT exchange booth is a small outdoor Thai restaurant it is called Surprise, it use to be cheaper but still good as far as I'm concern they are usually close on Sunday's but they serve Thai baby back ribs (small bones) for 220 Baht, you can get half order and a half size roasted chicken also for 220 baht never tried any of the other dishes.

Also if you want take out also on Pattaya Klang inside Soi 9, is a place called Taco Taco, not cheap I've never tried it but they look like open for take out. As you go into the Soi it is on the right.

If I read the map right it looks like the plan is for any through traffic approaching from the south (Na Jomtien / Sattahip) to be forced inland to the roads by the railway. Through traffic from the north (Laem Chabang / Muang Chonburi) stays on Sukhumvit. These are the purple arrows.

Pattaya City bound traffic from the south gets checked at Checkpoint 8 (Public Prosecutors Office junction). City bound traffic from the north gets checked at the turning they will take to get across Sukhumvit.

All checkpoints seem to be planned for Sukhumvit Rd itself, so Welcome Town will still be accessible from the City centre.

This is what I'm hearing too Wednesday sometime between 2-3 pm they will start? When it comes to all the checkpoints from 1-8, they are as you noted on Sukhumvit, the set up are large tents in theory 3-4 lanes on the right which all leads into main Pattaya.

I will just mention the checkpoint at the top of Pattaya Klang and Sukhumvit, forgot who ask about Welcome Town, if one is coming from inside they shouldn't have a problem getting up to it. It is people like me from the Darkside who will have a problem getting across since I have no real business like working. But I do like going into Town to eat even if it is takeout I like the variety. But if I need to get to Tequila Reef, I will just park my bike just off Sukhumvit and cross the bridge and if block off I
can easily just run across Sukhumvit Welcome Town is just behind Index.

I'm a bit torn about all this stuff today since everything is so inconsistent in application. The Virus seems to be a case of life and death, yet there are days they check your temperature and then the next no one is around or even care. I went to a number of DIY stores to try to pick up a sink fixture yet the ones in town are all closed now but the two over here on the Darkside are opened. What is really considered Essentials? Places like DIY aren't open but HomePro all opened selling mops, broom, garbage cans which one can't at Big see or Lotus.

Sad part the Thais in general, the majority are poor working their ass off doing odd jobs like cleaning rooms all these people are out of jobs prior many are already hanging on. Today a number of places handing free food out on the Darkside off Soi Khao Noi, a long line people, kids butted up all against each other it is really sad and dishearting! This is what my biggest complaint about this place especially when you have something a stake, the size of this country the amount of money it has yet the people suffer so much while the government leaders get richer there is really no excuse and when something like this happens it really shows!

I understand the serious nature of the Virus but I also see the need to open the place back up.

The hard lockdown in Jomtien would be because of the strong Russian presence there and the many cases among them. Russians were the very last tourist wave to swoop down on Pattaya.

I was travelling in a baht bus with a group of Russians in the beginning of March 2020. They were drinking and having fun. One of them sneezed openly so the others laughed and said "Corona" I was not smiling at that moment.

April 13th, Based on the new directive and map I started my journey today just before 12 Noon, from the Darkside I went by the old 1st checkpoint north the tent was still there with one BIB (no longer Army) the guy is basically there to help local fill out the form needed to cross the restricted areas to be enforced. FYI, the tent at old checkpoint #2 Siam Country was just in the process of being removed while I finished my morning coffee at 10 am.

From North Hwy 36, I came up Sukhumvit, as I near the Marivit School I noticed a large tent on the right far two lanes it was set up like a toll booth, above the tent there were signs if you need to go West into Banglamung (Naklau) you enter these lanes based on vehicles motorbike cars if one stays left that is for thru traffic not going into Naklau and traveling South. As for the tent, there was no one in sight!

The next two / three lights thereafter there is right turns into Naklau as of this time there was no cement blockade preventing vehicles from entering, basically, right turns leads to the Naklau seafood market and the road south leads to the Dolphin Circle. Made my left up Pattaya Nau all the way to Sukhumvit at the intersection made an illegal you-turn no set up checkpoint in sight made a left up this Soi, forgot Soi name but it leads straight up South to Big see Extra, I didn't notice any cement blockade on any of the small Soi's that lead from Sukhumvit into this road. All the way up until I got to Big see Extra, there weren't any checkpoints nor any cement blockade.

Drove down 3rd road, to Pattaya Tai, no checkpoint made an illegal you-turn at KhaoPai up the Soi to Theppassit left towards Sukhumvit no checkpoint. Right at Sukhumvit down to Soi Boom / Soi Chayaiphrek the final two checkpoint areas nothing insight. By now it was getting dark the wind was picking up was already surprised it hasn't started to rain. I headed back north to Khao Talo to head home just as I got to the top of Khao Talo the rain came.

Will it happen it is anyone guesses but to make it so they will have to work quickly in the middle of the night!

In Jomtien restaurants would be totally shut, with only 7/11 allowed to open, otherwise home delivery only, no take-away. So what division would Pratumnak be in? There are nothing but Russians there, but it is located way before Jomtien.

I did a short run today but will do the complete run tomorrow since the projected new checkpoints are to start 14th? Today there was no change whatsoever unless the plan is to do things at the last minute and place all the barriers after midnight.

Today, I came down from the Darkside the back way coming down Soi Chaiyaiphrek the original checkpoint still in place with one soldier sitting playing with his phone. I went to Thai Watsudu to buy some home fixing items then a stop at Makro. The place was surprising empty for a Sunday grab my items at check out no customer but me.

One thing about the last of vehicles on the road always felt the police at the lights added to the problem by holding the lights too long. Now they seem to have set them at 30 seconds or less so now it is a short wait hope they learn something from it if they are inside those A / see booths?

Will report back tomorrow if I see any changes to the setup, particularly the Welcome Town area it is of interest to me since I like to eat at Tequila Reef.
