In the modern day, it becomes essential to have a smart phone and SIM with internet and of course Google Maps. Was tough in the old days to find an address if a place is not marked correctly on a Map.

The modern day problem is stupid people put pins on Google Maps in completely the wrong place, but seems to be getting more reliable these days.

We do have a separate thread on the Thailand forum. What is wrong with using the existing Thailand Lounge and Chat thread if you want to post about the old days or how the Dear Leader may be impacting P4 P in Thailand by forcing factories to relocate outside China.

You know those same members who complain about the relevance of other members posts are not immune themselves to a gratuitous of no value let me tell you more about myself syndrome.

For me it's simple, To those who complain about other members posts, use the ignore button and leave it to Admin to decide how the site looks. They are doing just fine.

Lets be honest with ourselves the scene posted here is probably 30% if what is available to locals and the overall market and there will be never be any reports on the other 70% so any posting here will be 1 questions that could have been answered by RTFF 2 questions irrelevant to the hobby and is best suited on agoda or whatsgoodtoeat dot com 3 posts complaining about price or other complaints 4 walks down memory lane how good it was in 90's 5 yet another post about thermae, nana, soi cowboy with no identifying the good fucks 6 miscellaneous crap I haven't identified but overall nothing is posted that can't be found by RTF pst posts.

What I was doing in the late 90's blew away anything Thailand has to offer but not once in all my posts have I ever mentioned it. Why? Because it was 20 years ago and absolutely irrelevant to the current hobbying scene.

Every year is a fantastic year when you are in Thailand and pursuing this hobby.

I'm so happy for you in regards to blowing Thailand away in the 90's. Good for you. Your choice.

After 25 years of mongering in this country I can honestly say Khob Khun Krup for the oh so magical memories and I so look forward to the next 25 years.

I know I'm going have a goooood time and the memories will stay with me forever, because when one is clapped out and unable rise from one's sick bed that's all one will have.

I have nothing against descriptions of days gone by. Various ISG members have posted many excellent historical perspectives and descriptive reports that deserve to be read by interested persons, but these posts tend to clog up the current threads which should be about what is happening on the ground NOW. Thus there should be a separate thread for new posts of an historical nature concerning bar scenes, massage parlors, nightclubs, street pick ups, Thermae (LOL), girls, prices, and all other reminiscences older than say 13 months because the posts focused on the past are not topical. So, I feel that the Pattaya or BKK reports threads, for example, should contain current Pattaya and BKK reports not what Pattaya or BKK was like 5, 10, or 25 years ago and editorials about how much better it was back when. Of course it was better in the 70's. A lot better, but that is not news although it may be interesting to read and talk about. And the same same goes for the Phuket reports, Massage reports sections ect ect.

So, my suggestion is that all new posts in these topical threads should ALL be on current information going back no further than 13 months. The historical minded posts and descriptions should be posted in their own "Thailand Years Gone by Thread." Of course this is only my opinion. but I think this suggestion would clean up the threads and make it easier for members to find the relevant information that they seek. A win win for everybody.

Its simple. One's early experiences are formative. Guys don't like it when the whole ballgame changes. We keep looking for things similar to the old days. Many posters particularly focus on the large inflation for price of bar girls, with many causes I guess. Bargirls were once one of the cheapest ways to monger and get a girl for the whole night.

Other guys will tell me the 70's and 80's were far better than the 90's. Ha ha. I was here is 83 briefly but restricted with a wife in tow. So I could not really appreciate it, other than I managed to find out how exciting a nude Thai girl could be, but could not communicate at all.

Guys that grew up in the Rock music era, will prefer Rock music forever.

Some aspects of change are really irritating to some of us, however we accept it and move on, still looking for girls that are like the old days' girls. A hell of a lot of fun.

Some of us move from having two or 3 fuck sessions per day (in our more crazy early days), to having quality girls but far less often. In many respects, things truly were better in the '90's. Even more so in the '80's. For the most part, AIDS didn't exist. We didn't have the Identity Politics bullshit. We'the won the Cold War, but the crazies in smaller countries and extremist organizations hadn't yet become a reality. One can have a very satisfying present yet yearn for what has passed.

Ah come on the 60's were the best even the 50's were not bad but for sure the 40's are definitely best forgotten. More up to date I'm enjoying the 2010's having a great time and looking forward to the 2020's.

I looked at some of the old reports from 2006 etc and I notice that the girls didn't look that good and neither was the prices that much cheaper it was something like 1500ST and whilst that may not be possible today 2000ST in Bangkok (Pattaya 500 vs 800/1000) is still very possible. So I can't really agree that the past was so much better, the biggest change for me is that 2006 I thought Thailand was the best, now I know there are better places if comparing bare bone basics but nevertheless Thailand still has certain attractions that makes it worth the effort. The biggest change for me is that 2006 etc white men were treated as gods, now they are relegated to second place and I'm sure that is what irks the old old days men more than the prices and looks of the girls.
