    Seriously Out of Date

R$9. R$ 10 will not get you fed at any Kilo place now. Think R$ 15. R$ 20 as a minimum.

There are tons of rental places in Copacabana, the one you listed is nothing special.

Before you post you need to have better more up to date info otherwise your posts will not garner positive responses.
Kilograma is now Frontera. Popular place with the semi-affluent locals. Kilo and all you can eat pizza. Several locations around Rio.

    http://www.frontera.com.br/

Monchique is a get what you pay for place. The Rodizio is not worth the money. The meat selection is limited and of poor quality. Check out the kilo offerings and if you see some things you like, stay and eat.

Nearby is 686 (NS & Santa Clara). A good place but as Bubba says R$20 is about the minimum these days.

There are a couple little churrasco's that I found of great value in Copa that you didn't mention in your guide and that's Monchique located on Av. NS Copacabana. 796 and Kilograma on Av. NS Copacabana 1144. I like these buffet style spots to refuel without paying a lot. If memory serves me correctly it was around R$9-R$10. Kilogram weighs the plate though so the price may vary. I never eat on the beach-muito caro!

Also I have found the folks over at.

To be excellent! I was surprised to see that you didn't mention them in your guide. They have the largest selection of apartments in the area. They are very professional and provide all of the services a monger would need.

Once again, great guide and maybe my contributions might add to its value.

Christmas - Not the best time

However, as mentioned in the guide, most of the girls are the big-ass gangsta type. I did found one 10'er there my first visit, but second was not that good (much more guys than girls).

    But mu question is:

I am more into the slim, cute, classy type of girls. What would you recommend as the best terma or place to visit for me? I always value quality much more then price.
Christmas time is not the best time to visit the largest Catholic country in the world. Termas are closed and when open do not have the best selection of girls since many are with their families. Those not with their families are wishing they were or had families with whom to spend the holidays.

If you are going to be around in January, I would suggest you revisit L'uomo. I was there before the holidays and there were a number of spinner types. As suggested by another poster, Centaurus also is a good place to find that body type. Most will be fair skinned blonds (at lease up top) since Centaurus caters to wealthy Brazilians.

    Slim girls in Rio.

    Hi Euroboy,

Its been over a year since I was last in Rio, and I am not the most experienced Rio-monger, but I have managed to get around to some of the Zon Sul Termas, and of course Help (back in the days). Since prize is not a big issue for you, I would suggest Centaurus, even though their prizing policies are debatable, as they have been here on the forum.

But, in my experience they do seem to have more of the spinner, slim type of girls than Monte Carlo and Luomo, even if you also find some gems at these places.

PS. Would also like to send a much overdue thanks to Bubba Boy for the excellent giude, that has made my trips to Rio so much easier!

    Update in Jan

Thanks Sailor and all others that have given mini updates to the Rio Guide. I have noted all corrections / updates and will update everything in January. In fact the January update is going to be the best, most accurate Rio Guide ever.

Keep all the info coming. The more the better!

The current latest guide is here (updated mid November) , it is a cumulative effort.

Many thanks to Bubba for his detailed work

I have been to Rio last week and benefitted a lot from what I read in Bubba report. I would like to contribute with the below minor points if anyone else intends to beat a similar path.

&304; and General I found Tier 1 termas as extremely expenvive for this kind of sports so I spend most of my time in Tier 2 Centro establishments.

Most of them are extremely popular amongs Brasilien mongerers. We never saw any place empty after 12:00 mostly very busy all days in the week Sat and sundays are dead silent.

    1. Avenida Rio Branco 181, Commercial Sala 1006 Flavias used to be very popular and highly rocomended. But they are out of business. There is a Lawyer there now. Who opened the door when we knocked.

    2. Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana andē 583 sala 203. Mamasan of this place was very tricky. She quoted 140 Real for 40 min. She even showed us some printed tariff hide away in somewhere on the wall to show her stupidly high prices. But no such thing in other places. I believe she tried to rip off.

One last point I would say is that even in copacabana in Rio very few people speak decent english. Same applies in tier 2 and tier 3 establishments. So we had to fight our way with our very limited latin speaking skills. Which we did at the end of the day. Taxi drivers, Waiters etc tried to rip off pennies in every possible opportunity.

    Bubba Report

By the way Bubba, that is beyond a joke that report, errrm you should be selling on ebay or something. Absolutely incredible and I've only read a few pages so far and scanned a few more.

    Genius.

    Cialis

Are we ok taking cialis into Brazil? Hardly a hard drug, but thought I'd ask.

I don't take anything other than necessary drugs. Sometimes in a foreign country it is just more convenient to buy with out a presc. To answer your question I would not take "hard" prescitption drugs accross the border. Z pac and borderline presc stuff I don't have an issue with. Most customs guys in western countries are very reasonable if you treat them with respect. Taking hard presc drugs accross a border, that are commonly used for recreational drugs, is just too risky.

Brazil is more difficult to buy hard stuff without a prescription, having said that some pharmacys still sell anything without a prescritpion. These are mostly the smaller non chain places. The big chain places are quite strict now.
