EC I think what your problem is is that you live there. I have been online dating since there was an online to be on. I have noticed that in general it is easier to get normal chicks online when you don't live in the place you are trying to get them. If you are coming from somewhere else you are seen as mysterious and intriguing, whereas if you are already there you are just status quo.

The first thing I do is click the interest. If I get interest back or if a chick has already clicked interest for me then I write, "Hello. What are you doing?" Then I just let things flow from there. It seems that you like to joke around the same as me. And you have also noticed that a lot of chicks have deep seated issues. The smallest thing or misunderstanding will set them off.

Even still I have no issues being real with them. One of my pet peeves is these chicks saying they are the mother and father for their kid. I tell them that is stupid. You are a female. You can not be a father. You are only a mother. You do not hear men saying dumb shit like they are the father and the mother because the shit is not true. I agree with you, and I always am trying to push right away for meeting for a drink*. What I find is a lot of scheduling issues and flakes, even 1-2 hours before appointed times (after hand-holding them via whatsapp for 2-3 days prior to confirm). I also find most of the conversations via Tinder or in-app (Cupid) are just like pulling teeth, or the girls are boring as all fuck. And as mentioned, a lot of resistance from the Niteroi and Zona Norte girls to come to Zona Sul -- and yes, I could go up there, but frankly I don't want to (feels like putting the bucetinha on a pedestal).

I've had very low success on Tinder in Rio and not been able to get anyone to meet up, as BR girls (esp. Rio) hate to plan and I need to plan during the week due to work. Also having to move thru the banal coversations on the app, then to Whatsapp, etc. Is a pain in the ass. And of course I'm unwilling to travel to Niteroi or far into Zona Norte for a first meet, my perspective is there are better places I know in Ipanema / Botafogo anyway (and easily reached by metro). Then again, I kind of feel going to them on a first meet is way too thirsty. I'm the prize, baby! .

I was in Rio just last week and made the mistake of going to Dolce Vita for a night. Ordered 6 beers all night and when I went to check out. The tab indicated 8. From Atlantico, exit your hotel and walk to the left on Siqueira Campos. You will find an exchange on the left. Open til about 6 pm.

Taxi. You can try Uber. About 45 reals. Otherwise only take a taxi with a meter. And make sure they use the meter. I think a metered taxi will run about 80 reals if I recall correctly.

From Arena hotel, go up to NS Copa and turn right. Walk to the next block Republica do Peru. Just as you pass over Peru about 20 m there is a small street on the left. Look left and you will see a money exchange near a Salon. This one is open late til about 10 pm.

Otherwise, if you are going to take the metro to Centro before 6 pm, use the exchange on Siq. Campos.

If you are not familiar with Rio, only change about $30 bucks at the airport. Just enough to get you to your hotel area. Later, you can change money at an exchange and get a better rate.

Alternatively, you can change the 30 dollars in the states before you fly out.

If you come very late at night, You really need to change money, there is bar that is open at night they change reais for dollars. The same rate as the official amount. On www.xe.com and most change agencies.

If today is 3.15 they will give you 3.15. It is in Prado Junnior next to Mabs, the name of the bar: O crack dos galetos it is open very late at night. Because late at night all the change agencies are closed.

In the day, the best place to change money if you have dollars is (Avenida nossa Sra. Copacabana, 371.). They always add 0. 10 reais that means if today 1 dollar is 3. 15 they will give you 3. 25.

Most other agencies will give you the same rate as www.xe.com.

If you give info what time you come to Brazil where you stay in Copacabana, your answer will be better answered.

When you arrive in Rio de Janeiro, you want to save up more money, it is better to take the bus. It is only 16 reais (http://www.riogaleao.com/transportes...amento/onibus/). There is WiFi and air conditioner in the bus. The driver will put your luggage in the boot, he will give you a paper so that you give it back to him when you get your luggage back. Just tell the driver where you want to get off. When he arrives close to the place he will call you.

If you don't want to bother taking the bus and you prefer to take a taxi, just take the official taxi in the airport. When you exit there are many official taxis that line up. Always ask the driver to use the counter.

Avoid any guy in the airport that try to offer you a taxi service, you can get ripped off by them. Their work is to find their suckers.

P.S. I haven't been living in Rio de Janeiro for a long time, but I learnt from experience when I travel to Brazil, I have been travelling to Brazil for 5 years. I speak Portuguese like Portuguese people. I always try to speak as Brazilian as possible. Many Brazilians think I am from Brazil when I speak Portuguese that's why my experience is different.

Don't forget, being expatriate, a retired and a simple tourist or a local are 4 different things. I mean if you only stay one or few weeks in Rio de Janeiro don't be cheap for few dollars, just pay good service and don't throw money for shit and have the best experience of your life and don't let people to rip you off before going back to the USA for work. You travel miles to fuck the best quality girls not the average girls you see in your daily life. If you stay as a retired or expatriate I can't advise you I am not an expatriate or retired in Brazil, I can only advise you as a expatriate in Japan or sex tourist in Brazil.

Every taste and experience is different, so just take the most useful info for you. Some people prefer 4 by 4, some prefer Cancun or other termas, some VM or trash clubs.

I just share my experience. Follow it or not, it is up to you take the most useful info to you. I don't have to tell you what is the best for you because I am not you.
