I visited both 65 and Cancun while in Rio. I did not session at either termas, although there was some talent to be had, especially at Cancun. Termas 65 used to be my second favorite termas in Rio. It never got too crowded, but some really hot girls providing outstanding service used to work there. The place had a reputation for being a little bit more on the expensive side where middle class Brazilians would go, and I never had a bad time at 65.

That's why I was sad when it closed briefly, but it's been back in operation for awhile. Unfortunately, it apparently has not returned to its prior form though. There were maybe only about 12 or so girls on duty, with maybe a couple of them being attractive, and only a handful of clients in attendance maybe. One of the less attractive girls approached me, but I was more interested in fiddling with my smart phone LOL!

I stayed for about an hour plus or so before walking over to Cancun where the scene was better. More energy with more girls and clients. I saw at least two or three girls who I thought were very fuckable (maybe more depending on your tastes). I had a nice conversation with a cute blonde who approached me, but still I didn't pull the trigger. Don't recall why, but was probably because at that point of the trip my batteries were running a little low.

Anyway, it's funny how things can change. Termas 65 used to be the club with a vibe while Cancun was usually dead. I think 65's closing really hurt it, and so far it has not fully recovered. In fact, if I recall correct, several 65 girls moved over to Cancun when the former closed. In any event, on any future trip to Rio, I would definitely stop by both again to see what's on offer.

One of the reasons that guys new to the forum can never find anything is because everything is dumped in this Rio de Janeiro reports thread. There is a thread called Portuguese Words and Phrases at the bottom of the forum to discuss the Portuguese language. Also, I can correct the above translations or if someone else has the time.

You can try Reading the F*cking Forum! Seriously, take 30 minutes and go back and read about the other 25 guys who asked for advice on where to stay, where to change money, what termas to go to and what to do at night. All the information is right there at your fingertips!

I was saying for people like me whose body can no longer take much natural sugar which caipirinhas have a shit ton of, bringing my own artificial sweetener was indeed an excellent substitute.

Don't know how your inability to handle too much sugar equals them using fake sugar but am glad to know that they are using real sugar. I always ask them to put in half the sugar they normally do to make it less overpoweringly sweet.

How are the gua de coco prices on the beach?

No idea. But the caipirinha prices at the kiosks have plummeted. As low as are $5 in some places. I went to one with two chicks. We had 3 each and the bill came to are $30.

Sperto must know muddling the mint with sugar releases more oils from the mint.

Something I forgot to mention. I was walking with a buddy down NS on the way to Cervantes. He needed to change some money so we walked into some random exchange place. The rate there was as good as my Charles Schwab card. I think it was 4. 16 for 1 USD. I have had Schwab for a while and had HSBC (is that place still around in Brazil?) for years before that, so I really have not changed money in Rio since the Help days outside of once with the airport porters a couple of years ago.

HSBC sold its Brazil business to Bradesco. Last December, I used the Bradesco ATM and I believe I got a reduced fee. HSBC is saying it wants to come back to Brazil now. Just don't go to Santander: they only let you take out are $500 a day.
