I want to plan a return trip to Rio soon. I was there for the first time 2 years ago. I know prices have gone up and some places have closed. Any other changes I should be aware of? Last time I only hit the main termas 4x4, MC, Luomo, and Solarium. This time I want to check out the mid range and smaller termas in centro.

I had a short but perhaps one of my most fun-filled trips ever to Rio just recently. Here are the highlights:

Day 1: Went to 4 X 4 and was trying to decide weather to get with someone new or not. For the first time in eons I had a wingman and his regular girl showed up and they were gone. So I was left by myself in the boite wondering who to choose. Well, Lavinia was there with her devilish self and managed to lure me to go up with her. For her fans, you know she is built for business: Small waist, huge natural tits and an couple of beach balls for an ass. Nevertheless, I got my money's worth, that girl is made for sin! Great start to the trip.

Day 2: Returned to 4 X 4 and decided to try one of my true proven regulars: Grazi. I've read many reports from ABG regardings churrascos at São Paulo privês (or maybe just Redway). Why don't they have the same in Rio? Maybe not that easy when the privês are inside buildings, without a garden or a yard?

I like the idea. Nice grilled meat, cold beer and beautiful ladies available for P4P. The only churrasco combined with P4P I've seen has been at VM, but I've not the courage to eat any churrasco in VM.

Sperto, to my knowledge, the only privée that has a backyard with a brick churrasqueira is Redway.

Least year we did organise some churrascos at Vaní's Paradise but after Vaní split the partneship those churrascos belong to a part of the history!

But the best part of the churrascos parties is the excelent cast of women such an event can attract.

Girls love the party and the chance of making good money!

Balcony has never been the only option for anything and won't ever be the only option for anything, except for being overcharged.

Try calculating the current time value of staying in Rio / day. I'm still trying to negotiate my daily rent with my ex landlord in Copa as I'm schedule to arrive in Rio next week. In recent times, the kind of sharks and skanks hangout at Balcony Zoo makes me not want take them back to my apt anymore. I used to do Luomo on Sundays and since it's closed I came up with a new approach. I'm so dedicated to honor Terma chiks #s this time so I can meet up on Sundays because there isn't any alternatives anymore. I'm planning a new policy which is to offer R$100 for 1hr for BBBJ and completa in the Lido motel close to Balcony. I did it twice last year during weekend nights with some really young hot Brasileras. The total damage was R$100 + 60-80 (depends on what they charge now per hr). I'm sticking to this strategy so the mission is accomplished and I can sleep in peace with my BOTH eyes closed.

Learn you to use public transport!

Take the metro yellow line and exit estação República! Walk 03 blocks on Rua General Jardim 242, PFA is there. R$ 40, 00 = 1/2h.

Ask for Rosi, the manager and she will order the lieup for you!

I´ve been there several times, it´s not Heaven but also it´s not Hell. Most garotas there are mulatas! Some very good looking!

If you want to pay R$ 120,00 / hour than Redway, R. Machado de Assis 449 is the place!Much better options, slimm garotas!

Rio is not 3 times more expensive than NYC. I live in Queens. I work and hangout in Manhattan alot.

Rio on the cheap is not easy. ET, he maybe means 15USD rather than 15Rs. 15US is indeed about a starting rate in a big dorm (just check the hostel sites). I've stayed in the one near Saens Pena a few times which is reasonably upmarket and slightly more, less touristy than Copa ones, and handy for VM. The Metro is about 5 to 10 mins walk and it is a short hop to Tijuca or Centro. It is quite small and you should book well in advance. Rio is of course quite expensive now, much more so than before, but people have complained about the prices for years on here. Come to Rio, in fact come to Brazil, simply if you love the place. You can still do Rio on a budget but it is much much harder. If you want to live in style, then you wil struggle.

For those prepared to go without lots of comforts, apart from the hostels, there are many cheap hotels in North Centro (probably best to avoid ones advertising online and just book or a room when you arrive with a backpack). The streets look quite offputting at night at first, but I have stayed there and realised that, although you have to be streetwise, it is not as dangerous as it looks and people care about the neighbourhod even if it looks a bit run down.

Sao Paulo probably has more upmarket girls for your dollar, but the size of SP makes Rio look like a village. And although it has plenty of culture and cuisine it is not the holiday atmosphere city that Rio is. (It's like a country in its own right, not quite like the rest of Brasil but not like the West either.) SP has a first class public transport infrastructure except in rush hour (get a Bilhete Unico) and several ISG members willing to help out those who like to buddy-up (not my style, but probably a good idea).

Is there any Termas opened on Sundays? Or are we stuck with Balcony and VM for ALL or ANY Sunday action?
