Cleaning job, 4 hours per day and 5 days a week = for 600 reals a month.

Good to keep in mind and as a reference when discussing prices with our regulars.

Yep, I was going to say the same thing. In all the main line SP boates there is an exit fee, but it is on the girl if she wants to leave early. This girly exit fee is equal to the hotel room fee so customers can choose either way, but nobody skips out in an SP boate with a girl without paying for it. So, it seems like DV has made a mistake by leaving such loophole in place. But I have no doubt they will eventually figure it out and make the necessary adjustment.

SP Boates will also charge girls an entry fee unless she commits to a minimum number of nights per week and corresponding hours. The House keeps track of it all. That is why there are 2 work shifts at Scandallo. My Valerie, for example, does the night shift 10 pm until closing time 4 nights a week. She used to be assigned her nights, but now she gets to choose her nights which are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. I have met other girls that prefer Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights and still other girls that prefer the afternoon shift. The girls are still independent contractors IE FL's, but if they want to ply their trade at Scandallo and enter for free they must comply with these rules. Of course, there are always the super model types who come and go as they please because their price is so high they do not give a shit about entry and exit fees. It is interesting to see the handful of knockouts just arriving at Scandallo at around 11:30 pm Thursday or Friday night, the 2 busiest nights of the week.

P.S. I now understand Bravo & Evac305's point. If I had been a regular DV customer for years I too would resent the new policy and try to find a get around. But since my first introduction to the Boate world was in SP, I take for granted the exit fee as a given fact of life until I hook up with girls I really like and then we take our ongoing relationship away from the boate completely. The girls are very amenable to taking it out of the boate realm because it is not fun for them being stuck at their boate until closing time. They all tell me it gets very slow and boring in the late, late, early morning hours.

You misunderstand me. A girl's time off is a girl's time off. She is entitled to do whatever she wants when she is off the clock.

I don't employ the get her phone number 1st strategy for the simple reason that I go to termas and boates to get laid not to pick up phone numbers. But after an initial in-house session, I will exchange whatsapp numbers with the girls I really like. So we leave the club at 3:45 AM, get back to the hotel, take a shower have sex and then the next thing you know she is getting up to get dressed. When I said "You told me all night in the club". If not made clear, it's so easy to specifically note "Reais" in negotiations that I don't remember ever having any misunderstanding. Again, problem solved.

That's what I did after the first time. I negotiated with all the girls in Reais but some girls knew the conversion rate and tried to convince me that paying $R100 was too low based on the price of the dollar. It's been so long that I don't remember the exact numbers that we landed on but I wasn't going to be a pushover.

I have a question about negotiating the price of a freelancer.

The last time I was there 20 years ago, I checked into my hotel and walked a couple of blocks to Mabs. A girl approached me almost immediately and asked if I wanted to hook up. We negotiated 250 and I thought she was talking Reals so I said "sure". I had a girl in my room one hour after arriving in Rio but before we did anything I thought I should verify the amount in Reals rather than dollars.

I found out she was quoting dollars. So I had to renegotiate. I found out that the girls try to negotiate in dollars because I am a gringo. Do they still do that today?

Back then it was 3. 5 are per dollar. Now it's 5. 24 are per dollar.

20 to 22 years ago this was very common to ask for dollars and not reais because the dollar was very strong and the real would weaken week to week. Girls were hoarding 100 dollar bills because next week they got more reais. They thought they were going to get rich holding dollars but it never happened. Just as soon as the dollar almost hit 4 reais it started to slide in the next couple of years to something like 1 dollar got 1. 65 reais. I knew one girl from south of Brazil who had a large stack of 100's who was told by one of her customers who was in finance that it was going to 5. 5 or 6, I hope she converted before it hit 1. 65. If she asked you for 250 dollars that was extremely rich 20 years ago as well as today.

Well DV doesn't charge the girls anything for entrance or drinks in order to entice them to come in so we have a lot to choose from. So they charge the monger to make up for what the girls didn't pay. They have to make money some how otherwise they would go out of business and then where would we go. That’s not to say they wouldn’t steal from you because they will so you have to question everything and they have answers for everything too.

If the girl just says 250 adding nothing more she means Reals. If she wants $US she would say 250 dollars. If she said 250 with nothing more and after the deed asks for US $250 she's trying to pull one over you.

Miami, I am not going to debate with you on your personal preferences and price points. These independent girls choose to ply their trade at DV and as the OP posted, "DV charges either 75 or 100 are to take a girl out of the club with you, <snip it's called a "desperta" fee on your bill. " In addition, a takeout fee is in the price structure of every boate that I know of in SP and as well as DV here in RJ. So, there is nothing new here. No sudden surprises or hidden fees.

MY point is that if you don't like the pricing structure of DV, or Scandallo, Bomboa, or Casarao in SP, or any bordello, club or Go Go worldwide, then DON'T GO TO THESE ESTABLISHMENTS! It is that simple. Or as Vagabunda once suggested, go there to collect WhatsApp numbers and try to hook up with the girls later. But trying to sneak out of a Boate with a girl without paying the "desperta" fee or as it is known in Thailand, the "barfine" is a bad move for a number of reasons including one's personal safety. KKK. But hey, do what you like. I am not your father.

The takeout fee a DV is just a money grab and was never part of their price structure. This new fee might not even be a year old. I agree with having the girl meet you outside.

Same exact thing happened to me with my first freelancer in Rio 21 years ago. I do not remember if it was in front of Mabs or Help or Meia Pataca that I found her, but her name was Amanda. She said 100. The next morning I handed her 100 reais (just over $25 at the time). She said it was supposed to be US $100.

I was like why would I have dollars in Brazil? She left upset talking about she was going to get the police or some gangsters or somebody. I did not speak Portuguese at the time. (As a matter of fact, she kept sniffing and pointing to her nose. So I gave her a Sudafed. Days or months or years later realized she was asking for cocaine.) She definitely had to be trying to put one over on me, because thereafter for years on end I was giving chicks from Help 100 reais for all night without a complaint.
