I speak porto after a fashion.

It is just the days on end, like 4 days a week with a 20 or 21 year old where she wants to listen to only brazilian music or watch a brazilian novella series all fkn day long that I have to put the headset on and rock some springsteen or listen to english youtube.

I use duolingo and pimselur to improve my porto. When they use slang I have a bit of a trouble but that's the same for any language. I already know spanish so that helped but still I learned a lot more and easier just walking around in SP and RJ for a few days than most of my learning apps.

Just met this SP girl in miami for her birthday that I met in my March trip and she was talking about the gringo guy she was with.

I asked her why she didn't consider me a gringo and she said because I spoke decent porto and didn't flaunt money like a buffet restaurant throwing food away in front of a homeless person.

I'm not a white guy so that helps but even black americans guys are called gringos in Brazil. I remember reading how a forum member was pissed to be called a gringo but if you use american dollars, have a english last name and speak only english, YOU MIGHT BE A GRINGO (Jeff Foxworthy voice).

Learning porto is a must and it's really not that difficult. You really only need to master a few thousand words to have a conversation with locals.

I couldn't imagine living in a country for more than a year and not having a good grasp of at least the basics and conversational level of speaking and writing.

Worth spending 5 $ a month to a get the premium version of duolingo or whatever language learning app you want. Keeps the brain moving and stimulated.

I just found a girl on that sire Vagabundo posted, it says if I want to hire her to call her on ZAP? Pardon my ignorance, what is ZAP and how the hell do I do that? Thanks in advance.

This goes along with how do you get GFE.

Well, sex is sex, it is best in the world here IMHO, for P4 P, though I am more interested in non pros for higher quality partners, but the way you get GFE and maybe have a better time with the local girls is.

    - Listen to Felipe Ret while having sex, and maybe smoking weed if that's your thing (it is going to be her thing as all the working girls smoke). Ganja Coffee Shop, Rua Rezende 82 is the place to go to find ganja vendors, and no don't ask me, and don't ask me to be a pimp while I'm at it.

    - watch porta dos fundos on youtube, and brazilian movies like city of god, tropa de elite, and dom, and just pick up the language from those movies and the ganja rap of ret and others like papatinho.

Also, mongering should only be part of life, a luxury, but if you want friends from your own home country / language, then seek them out, call your consulate, call your national clubs, like a german club, etc.

Several times a week, Vagabundo gets the request to give newly arriving mongers contacts of girls and send pictures and describe the GFE experience. OK, well, the answer is you can do that research on gparena.net. If you are a good wingman, then I will probably take you around to the locations, even translate a bit. But the bottom line is you're the man who is going to fuck the chick, and when you're butt ass naked, the words coming out of your mouth before during and after the sex is your responsibility, so you've got to take charge of either learning enough porto, or being able to play some local music, not to mention the basic of being clean, fit, attractive etc. So, there it is.

    So it goes.

Which is to say, study some stoic philosophy, read some marquez, and be grateful to some entity that you and your dick are in Rio de Janeiro for any amount of time at all. Many men don't get that chance. Like Muslims go to Mecca if they can, a man with a penis should go to Rio if he can as all devout dudes should do. Does that make any sense?

Well, I am no Saint, I am a Vagabundo, Count Vagabundo of Monte Cristo.
Vagabundo, I have really enjoyed reading your posts and really appreciate your detalied response, cheers buddy. Thanks for the info.

And while we are dinheiro geeking out, how do you get a property loan in Brazil, can you do it through a company with a cnpj, and what are the interest rates like?

Something tells me that dinheiro can be made with brazilian interest rates in banking and brokerage firm operations.
Words of wisdom to any aspiring Swiss hurenweibel:

Your interest rates plus fees through a corporation are going to be higher than through sole proprietorship. On the carry trade see below:

I guess by meaningful human interaction I meant something not superficial based on people wanting your money? Or something other than tudo bem. LOL.

I have a friend here but he has a wife and kid and she seems pretty controlling and doesn't really want him coming out much with me.

We did a lot of the tourist attractions together, went to Buzios for a few days which was cool, but now I seem to be pretty much on my own. Trying to get a Brazilian girlfriend but its hard, they seem real flaky. Not speaking Portuguese doesn't help much.

    I welcome any insight.
If you are looking for a girlfriend in Brazil, you must either be a hansum young man, or be prepared to spend a lot of money. Especially if you don't speak Portuguese.

Have you thought about enrolling in a Portuguese class? There should be some available by week so can take a class for a week when you want to. You will get to know some people too. My personal experience is that it's easier to know people in cities or places with fewer foreigners.

    I emptied my inbox.

Thanks to senor nounce, Vice Admiral SWISS Navy for the assist. We run the whatsapp group together with our boss, jimmy boy of the swiss IRS and bank regulator and mafia boss to catch tax cheats from Norway.

Would love to join the whatsapp group and be a wingman if given the opportunity. Not sure why the PM's are not delivering. Probably you inbox might have filled.

I am landing in Sept. 30th in rio and leaving on Oct. 5th. Hope to get connected with experts on the ground for meetup and share the resources.

But they can check you on the way out, and again, the posted limit for declaration on the way out is 10 K Reais. In fact, it was a sign on outbound Customs where I first noticed it was reais, not USD.

Does not really seem like an answer ?? Which Termas are R1000 so I may avoid ? I am guessing from your tense you live in Brazil ?

You need to understand that your questions like the robe and taking girl out are discussed frequently.
Discussed frequently but searched and no list ? Why the games if someone knows ?

There is no agreed upon "best terma".
i would guess that there are some veterans who have an opinion that may be valuable and useful to everyone ?

That's why it was recommended to read the forum.
Again, I'm really sorry google guy but I have read the forum and the below are things that a vetran monger could assist with and that is what forums are for correct?.
