Posts: 28Thanks for everyone's help and is three weeks to long?
Thanks for the reply about single guys at Swing clubs. Finding a Terma girl who speaks English seems like a good idea. I'm trying to learn a few Portuguese phrases but I know that's won't help at all. I would be going to back to Thailand where it seems like half the girls speak English very well but since I don't have time to quarantine Brazil seems to be well with the trip. I've taken members advice and staying in Copa so hopefully my lack of speaking the language won't be as big of a deal. I love the beach and all the girls of course but right now my trip is 3 weeks long. Am I going to get bored? I was in Pattaya for two weeks and could have stayed a month for sure but Rio is different of course.

One option is to find termas girls who speak some English and are agreeable to "swing" outside the club. I would spend some time with her in a session at the termas or your place to make sure the two of you are copacetic together. There you have both your "plus one" and a translator.
If you really like attending swing clubs solo, Whatsapp the club using Google Translate to see how amicable they are to a single man with no Portuguese visiting.

If you intend to stay in Rio for one more month, I'd encourage you to take in a little more territory. Visit Petropolis (a very pleasant trip to the mountainous old capital of Brazil), go to the resort town of Buzios for 3-4 days, ditto for Ilha Grande and Parati, from where you can further explore the Emerald Coast (Parati and the Emerald Coast are also doable from SP). If you aren't able to wife up for these trips, that's not a problem for every town in Brazil has some GDP presence. Resort towns like Buzios and Parati certainly do.
I don't know what you've already seen in Rio, but you could do some Centro walking tours (there are some great free tours where you just give them a small tip), go to the Cathedral and Benedictine Monastery, walk up Celeron steps from Lapa to Santa Theresa. Vagabundo also mentioned some waterfall hikes that sound interesting to me, if that's your thing.
I mean I don't think it's possible to run out of sites to see in and around Rio.

First off, I got to say I'm impressed by the dedication and stamina some of you bring to this hobby. As my title implies, I'm not in the same league as you guys but hopefully other newbs will find my report useful.
I've actually been in Brazil for a month or so doing the tourist thing but have run out of sites to see and have some extra time to check out some of Brazil's other attractions as I'll be here one more month. Due to my lack of Portuguese and the low level of English here I haven't been really motivated to get out to the clinicas / prives / termas to see what they are about. As some of you might guess from my name, I'm from the former Soviet Union and I can't say I'm impressed by the women on the streets or beaches here when it comes to looks. However, I want to make the best of the month I have left here, so I can't really knock things until I've tried them, so I hope to have some fun, educational experiences in my last couple of weeks here.
Sao Paulo:
I was in Sao Paulo about a week or so ago and I tried out the well-known clinica, "Prime. " I actually really enjoyed my time there. One or two girls spoke a little English and I did session about 4 times over the week or so I was there. I'll definitely have to try out "Scandalla" on my way back through to find out what the hype is about. Generally I really liked the vibe and women of that city. It felt a more International, Big-city, High-Energy, Well-Educated-People type of a place. The restaurants were quite nice but there was really not much to do there.
Rio:
In my few days here, I've only been out once to a prive called "Zen Therapy. " It's in the RB185 building. It's very easy to access. You simply walk down the ramp to the elevators, and take the one on the far left to the 4th floor. It's sala 405. No ID check or anything required. Another important note. After reading the forums I was unsure if I needed an appointment before visiting a prive as most reports make mention of scheduling an appointment with a girl. Newbs should know that like the clinicas of Sao Paulo, you can just show up to the prive, ask for a "presentation" and they'll show you the available girls. Unless you are on a short trip, if you have time, you might as well go this route as the website pictures, even if real, can be photoshopped and you really can't get a vibe from the girl like you can in person.
What's cool about Zen Therapy is that their website seems generally accurate in that they have semi-realistic pictures of the girls that actually work there so it gives you some idea of what to expect. On my trip there today around 5 pm I was presented with 4 girls. Hanna, Anny, Raisa, and Liz. All seemed pretty friendly in the presentation. All had natural tits, Hanna and Liz both seemed the best proportioned to my liking. I'm not really into black women, but Raisa who was the only black woman was certainly the most pleasant. In the end I went with Hanna. I paid 100 for thirty minutes. The price may have only been 90 but I couldn't really understand the receptionist and she wasn't very patient with my lack of Portuguese. Either way, it was extremely cheap. I was just a bit surprised with the tone and demeaner of the receptionist as typically customer service in Brazil has been extremely friendly.
I would rate the session as just OK. We did DFK, BBBJ and covered sex, but there just wasn't any chemistry. For the price, however, I can't really complain. I'll probably go back and try another girl there next week, but now I'm thinking that maybe the termas will be more my thing. I should also mention that for looks, I would rate these women 5's and 6's perhaps. For the price and convenience it's a great deal but nothing to write home about.
General tips for newbs in Brazil:
Phone. Because of the language difficulty and CPF requirement it may be too much hassle for some to get a sim card. What I did was use an eSIM and bought some time from Flexiroam. It's a more expensive route to buy data but I think I paid $23 USD for 24 days and 1 GB of data. It's not much but more than enough for my minimum requirement of data for Uber rides, Whatsapp, Telegram, Messenger and any emergencies. I won't be watching YouTube on it and I keep mobile data turned off except for when I actually need to use it. If you have a new model phone that handles eSIMs, I recommend it or any similar services as this package was Global and I can pretty much fly anywhere and be set up to grab an Uber from the airport where ever I land.
CPF tip. For those that don't know, the CPF is basically a tax ID number that all residents of Brazil have and they like to use it for everything. As a foreigner you won't have one and it's a bit of a pain to get and not really worth the hassle unless you plan to live here or keep coming back. It's usually needed when you buy a sim card but that can be avoided with my tip above. Another area I had issues was booking bus tickets around Brazil. Some of the bus websites required a CPF number. There is a website which is a third-party site for booking tickets called clickbus.com.br. They don't require it and also have an option to pay using Paypal which was nice. If you don't have that option and really do need to book a ticket with a CPF number, you can also google "CPF generator Brazil" websites. These are primarily for programmers to generate fake CPF numbers to test the validation code for their websites but technically you could use it to generate a fake CPF to book a bus ticket. I'm not sure how much trouble this could cause you if you started using it everywhere but if you have no other option when booking a bus ticket, it probably isn't a big deal.
Food. For those with language difficulties I recommend the "Buffet By Weight" style restaurants. Here in Brazil there are many buffets that'll charge you by the weight of your plate. It's super-easy as you just select what you want, put it on a scale and pay. Generally when I travel I find fast food the easiest and most convenient but here in Brazil, it seems every fast food place I go to follows "The Subway Method" where they ask you a million questions in Portuguese about exactly how you would like your food, and what ingredients, sauces, etc you would like. This drives me crazy, even in English. Just make a good product that the majority of people like and I'll just pay you and eat it. Anyway, generally food here is decent and their are a lot of options.
Transportation. Most people here recommend Uber and I would as well. I would also like to point out however, that the subway in Rio is quite modern, and a good, cheap, efficient way to cover long distances in the city. I personally hate sitting in a car in traffic, so sometimes I just use the subway.
Accommodation. This has been covered quite well in the forum. I've stayed in Copa (on my first trip through) and now in Centro. I'd go with the majority and say Copa is best for first-timers or short-term stays. There is something magical about be right next to the world-famous beach and it is nice to walk on in the mornings. And yes, Copa can be sketchy in the evenings but not nearly as sketchy as here in Centro. I really wouldn't walk around here after 7 pm. Almost everything is closed. It seemed that more was going on in the evening near the beach.
Anyway, that's it for now. More to come after I've hit some Termas.

From this article:

O art.

This is why I think establishing the vibe with a girl is so important. When I feel that positive vibe, I am usually locked-in as the performance usually matches the vibe. This sounds like a silly notion, but for me a 7 or 8 with personality and spunk almost always surpasses a hotter girl at the termas.
Question for you EB. You said when you arrived at 8:30 there were about 25 girls with no more than two 7.5's. How many 8 or 9's did you see later?
Given your time of arrival, I would say those hotter girls were likely busy upstairs with clients. Sometimes if they don't see a lot of guys doing sessions, they will wander around the club having their hair combed, doing make-up, etc. That's why I like to arrive before 6 pm. Of course, when you select a girl and when you session require some strategy.

It's obviously easier to get contact info back in the rooms with a girl who provides good service.
