Has anyone else been unable to use their bank card or credit cards in Brazil? I spoke with my bank last week to let them know I would be traveling so that they could put a note on my account only to find out that they will not allow ANY transactions in Brazil (along with 4 other countries) even if you have a note on your account. I do have an American Express as well, so I am hoping that I can use it if need be. Just curious if anyone else has run into this issue as well. I really do not want to carry large amounts of cash into a country.

I use several bank debit cards with no difficulty, (HSBC, Suntrust, MLCMA, Credit Union, and PayPal.) Be aware that Amex is popular but a few places do not accept it. As an alternative you might consider purchasing a pre-paid debit card for back up. BTW, what bank do you use that will not honor ATM transactions in Brasil?

I think that place closed up. It was like "GRAND OPENING, GRAND CLOSING!". I remember someone saying the place didn't even last 2 months.

They are very active on Facebook. I get invites to events all the time? Who knows for sure? Someone on the ground needs to scope it out.

Is that the only spot that is open in Centro on Saturdays? I thought all the centro spots were closed on the weekends.

Most places are open on Saturdays till early afternoon. Almost everything is closed on Sundays.

Balcony is hit or miss with quality. I heard that this new club ON11 near Aproador is supposed to have p4p as well. But nobody from here as far as I know has ventured there.

Oh, so BALCONY is not more busy on the weekends? Its a shame what seems to has happened in Rio. I will be there in 2 weeks for the 1st since HELP closed, and I think I am in store for a rude awakening.

For the record, Monte Carlos is open Saturday as is LUomo and the other Zona Sul T's. I believe LUomo, Solarium, and maybe Centaurus are open on Sundays. MC is only open Sundays in the summer.

I would therefore, respectfully, not say that P4P sucks on weekends. Just that it is at a price range that some people, rightfully, find distasteful. Having said that [insert Larry David reference], weekend talent especially Sundays at the Zona Sul T's can be weaker than during the week.

I think I will have guide (Don or whoever) take me into the dark and dirty areas as I really do want to experience that as well. I live to the adventure and normally at 6'3 275lbs I am not concerned about being in a city that may be shady, however the language barrier changes the whole thing. I don't know if they want the time or my watch! .

If you catch me in the right mood, I can take you around. It is not too difficult to find me in the mood for girls. I like the dark and dirty areas. If you stay in one of my rooms, such guidance comes even more naturally and easily. It has the added benefit of calling escorts and other not so dirty visitors. But, I go to places for fun, so independently of any commercial relation, there is a good chance I might go to places. I am not a night person, I only do daytime activities.

Your size helps a little, but is not match for mobsters with guns.

Also, from what I read, it seems that the girls are good about photos for the most part. Is there a technique to this procedure? How does the establishment look on it?

Would not recommend to do this at the dark and dirty places. Security is some police mob and they don't take photographing lightly. I was with an ex-Marine who took some photos, tried to flee security and then tried to resist when asked to hand over the camera. I convinced him to delete the photos in front of the security guy, and the situation was defused.

BA85 was open today after all. It didn't seem as crowded today as it had yesterday evening when I was walking back from Termas 502. But the stairs, the stairs, THE STAIRS! I read as many reports as much I could find with the search function but NOTHING prepared me for the stairs. Music was being blasted as I looked up at the dirt-of-many-feet-over-many-years steps. Before I go any further, I bow to anyone who has ascended without making use of the handrails.

Nice reports.

When using the stairs at BA85 avoid touching the handrails. They are really nasty. Sticky of sweat, cum and lube.
Another advice is don't try to descend the stairs quickly wearing wet Havaianas.

P.S Imagine a fire in BA85 and everybody heading for the stairs.....

On the facilities : The room I was clean but the towel was not, quite a few big brown spots. The facilities seem to be aging and in need of a revamp.

The boate is nothing to write home about, a rectangle with 1 pole near the bar where a few girls were sitting and a lot of guys popping in after work. I made a point to sit in the whiskeria for some time before going upstairs, on the other side of the boate. It was better lit but felt it was too quiet for a pay-day, Friday evening. About half the tables were empty at 1930.

2 points:

1) 502 could be so much better if they would just spend some money and fix up the facilities a bit. BubbaBoy and I were joking they should just buy a couple sets of new sheets for the rooms and it would be 50% better. Doubt it will happen though.

2) Pay-day in Brasil is typically 5th of every month. So you actually caught it on the last Friday before pay-day. Meaning by this point in the month most 502 punters have blown all their disposable cash and have none left until 5th August (what with rent being due on 1st and all). It's quiet because it's winter, and then on top of that most of their usual customers have no reserves at this point in the month.

One more thing I noted was that even though I fall in to the normal girth & length category, all of the girls seem to think it is biggee / grande. Either established research is wrong or all the working girls in Brazil like to lie so that the guy feels better.

Not just Brazil; WGs all over the world do this. I guess they think it will inflate the guy's ego and induce him to be more generous.
