1. Walking home along the beach at night can def be dicey. Stay on the BEACH side where the restaurants are. Not the buildings side. You walk along the sidewalk towards the "administration" building and you will see a walkway with a big Uber arched sign over the walkway with different "colored" areas for pickup. I went to the "orange" area and requested a ride. Cost from GIG to Copacabana was 70 reals or $14 US. There were clusters of ATMs on the arrival floor and also up the stairs. Literally none of the ATMs would work with one of my cards. Thankfully, I had a backup card that worked fine.

Yeah, the pickup location for Uber was a little confusing. They still have signs at the 2nd level of Terminal 2 saying that's the pickup location, but the app kept directing me to the pickup area with the colored zones outside of the domestic terminal. (Maybe there still IS pickups for international arrivals there? Also, I didn't need to change money at the airport since I charged the Uber ride to my credit card. From town to the airport, the Uber dropped me off right in front of the departures area.

The upscale hotel mentioned on ISG multiple times as "girl friendly" is Marriott Copacabana. It is not cheap. Given the primary venue types available in Rio (prives and termas), I'm not sure that girl friendly is really necessary. If you are an international traveler and blowing into town for a few days or a week, then the sex will happen at the venue, not your hotel room and you are likely aiming for a variety of girls, so you are unlikely to want to get a girl's number and bring her back to your hotel for a repeat. If you plan to stick around for a few weeks or months, then you might want to repeat with a few superstars. In which case, for a long stay, you would probably be renting an AirB&be. Meals:

There are plenty of decent restaurants within a few blocks of the Marriott. I was originally concerned about safety in Rio (and Copa in particular), but it didn't really seem that unsafe, although I did tend to be back at the hotel by 11 pm. I just walked to restaurants for dinner and walked back to the hotel. I didn't use Uber door to door like I might have if things seemed super sketchy. There were plenty of families with little kids walking around. It feels like a normal city neighborhood in a developing country, not like a war zone. Centro seemed fine for safety, but I didn't walk around after dark. Like most "upscale" hotels, the Marriott charges a million dollars for breakfast, so I went elsewhere. Great coffee and inexpensive breakfast at Farro, a cafe 2 blocks from the hotel.

Prisma Terapias:

The only venue open in Copacabana on Sundays is Prisma Terapias. The prives that offer full service are closed. Elevator to the tenth floor of a commercial building and down a long hallway to room 1021. On Sunday, apparently the only option is the most expensive, meaning the mutual nude nuru for 330 reals. If they included soft drinks, water, snacks, and the cost of the room, and had a little more "wellness" facilities, the price would seem more reasonable.
