Lojas Americanas was the first place I went. I got a Claro chip and they started the activation process. It was going fine until the clerk ran into the issue with SEP (The clerk finally said the rep told him I can't use a CPF to activate the chip if I'm not Brazilian.

Next day I went to Rio Sul with my passport. Came to the Claro store, but there was a huge line. Went to the TIM store and they sent me to Lojas Americanas for the chip. I was able to finally activate the damn thing, but it took over 2 hours all in all. Didn't know I could do it all online.

Needing to be Brazilian to activate a chip is pure BS. Stupid clerk.

When you buy the TIM chip it comes with instructions on a piece of paper. Super easy to activate it.

Buy one at Lojas Americanas and ask your favorite girl to activate it. She will use her own CPF, I'm sure. All the girls know how to do it. I paid 10 reais for the chip and like Sperto said activating it with a CPF was surprisingly easy. Even if it was the first time for me, it took only few minutes. Then I had to add some credits with my CC. I think not being a Brazilian is just an excuse for not knowing what to do. Every time a computer tech at work tells me that it must be an expired certificate, I’m sure he doesnt know where the problem is.

Regarding TIM chip. If you don't have any CPF, go to a Lojas Americanas and buy a TIM chip from the TIM seller who will activate it for you. Another option is to buy a TIM chip on the street and call TIM and activate it (this option needs patience because there the staff answering might not be the smartest).

If you do have a CPF you can very easily activate the TIM chip yourself in just a few minutes. Along with the chip comes instructions. Something like:

When I came to Rio 1991 I was very impressed of Brazil. In Rio, specially Copacabana. Almost every restaurant / bar had lots of GPS. Not just Meia Pataca, La Maison etc. All along Copa were restaurants with GPS. Not to mention Help, if you were decently young you picked the girls for free. It took several years before I discovered the fun of P4 P. All of Brazil was full of pussy for free.

If I had went to Brazil for the first time in 2022 I would probably not have dedicated me to Brazil. The monger scene in all over Brazil isn't what it had been. However, I'm still going there. You just have to adapt.

Before the trip, I got the CPF number specifically to get a phone chip easily, and it failed. I think it was the SEP number? (fuck if I remember all that bullshit) that prevented me from completing the registration process. Turned out that even with CPF you can't get the chip unless you're a Brazilian, so I had to go to the fucking TIM store (the Claro line was 10 people deep) and get the chip with my passport and waste 2 hours of my life. Never fucking again! And yes, I know it's supposed to be easy in Centro, but I'the still have had to get to Centro first, so what's the point?

Was joined for a trip by a non-monger friend at the last moment, so didn't get to meet any Rio veterans while there. Looking back, I should've avoided budding up with a non-likeminded individual, but I didn't have a heart to say no. Here are a few thoughts (I won't bother you about some touristy things we did).

Sexual health / mindset.

I'm in my late 50's and not in my prime shape if I'm being honest. Still, I don't know if the 2-year hiatus from my last trip is to blame, but I found that this lull in activities made it even more difficult to me to cum. Took Maca for 1. 5 months prior to the trip, and no considerable improvements. Taking or not taking Viagra didn't make much of a difference either. Basically, when I tried to have sex more than once a day, the second time became more of a chore, and I didn't have enough leche anyway, so it wasn't too enjoyable..

Copa is the best bet to change money. 5-5. 2 are to $. It was less than 5 in Barra, Centro or Tijuca. My Schwab account offered about the same rate from what I can tell. Used credit cards in stores, restaurants, etc. Use reals in termas, don't pay with credit cards or exchange dollars there.

Hilton is GF now!

A welcome surprise to me was that they do allow guests now. I tried to sneak a girl in first, but the guard caught up with us at the elevator and made me register her at the front desk. Also took her to a pool with no issues. A huge difference compared to 2 years ago. At this point, I can wholeheartedly recommend Hilton. The rooms are a bit dated, but great location, free breakfast and lounge access for Gold / Diamond members, ocean-view rooms and 2 pools open until 8 pm.

Soccer game.

Went to Maracana on Sunday Flamenco vs. Vasco. Flamenco won 1:0. We were sitting in the Vasco section (not wearing their shirts, LOL). Huge police presence and no shenanigans during or after the game.

Restaurants.

The most memorable were Marius, Churrascaria Palace (as always), and Gran Parilla, a great Argentinian spot in Barra. Both Marius and Palace are in the $50-60 range and worth it if just for the experience (but the food was superb, too). Contemporanio, on the other hand, was a disappointment this time. Blunt food, and 50% of the menu was unavailable.

Girls.

I took it easy this time around and had a few repeats rather than just looking for a new pussy every time.

Flavia from Solarium, are $800 with a few drinks. Liked that "mignon" a lot, so repeated with her at Bambina motel in Botafogo, then took her back to Hilton to relax at the pool. Highly recommend Bambina. I took their top room with the pool and hydro (R600 for 3 hours), had a lot of fun with her (too much actually, as my condom got torn to shreds, LOL). They have cheaper rooms of course, but fuck it, I'the saved a lot of money staying put in the last 2 years. I thought about Panda, but they wanted 750 for 6 hours, and I didn't need 6 hours anyway.

Sauri from 4 X4. Are $600+ with 3 or 4 drinks. A fun Japanese girl and a firecracker! Refused to let me go until she cummed too. Repeated at the hotel for another great session.

Entry fee is 15 at Das Flores and 10 at Babilonia, both clubs have same prices for fuck 85/30 min and 145/1 HR. Das Flores have cabine with shower in the corridor for the 30 min and room with shower for 1 HR. Das Flores is always full of girls, been there 4 times and every nights there are over 30/35 girls. Good line up and good perfomance, girls don't upcharge for anal. For me this is the best nightclub in all Rio. "

Its been kind of our thing to check out the lesser talked about places in Brazil. We did the "Farm" in Campinas and we were rewarded with excellent day action so we rolled the dice again on this place out in the middle of nowhere. Only visited Das Flores, we left Ipanema around 9 pm using Uber and as stated 60 BRL, amazingly we did not have trouble getting a ride so far out of town. Its like 75 min ride West away from everything written about in this forum, LOL. The uber pricing just proves what a good value this service is in Brazil, $12 split between 2 guys. Its a ride so sit back and chill, you pass many small towns and open highway there is a military base close to the club. We arrive around 1030 pm and found the place typical for a blue collar club. Surprisingly, it was clean, organized and spacious, I was expecting a more rough venue. Temperature controlled and really nice experience for the effort involved. About 30 girls more arrived after 11 pm when the club started to fill up. They give you a sheet a paper to fill in your purchases so don't lose it. Beers were cheap don't remember pricing but everything here is excellent bang for the buck. I found about 5 of the girls doable and picked one GND type and at 145/ HR the room, shower and experience was as nice as anything I have had in Brazil. My buddy was happy with his selection as well. The staff enjoyed having us as it seemed outside of locals they don't get many folks from the Southern Zone. My girl asked me why I was there since there were far better clubs in Ipanema. I just laughed and tried to explain the "explorer" mindset but doubtful she fully understood.

Now, would I return. Depends, you are leaving plenty of easy action closer to your hotel, airbnb. But if friends wanted some adventure with a almost guaranteed good time then yes, I would return to the place. No need to arrive before 10 pm. Soon after 10pm was s good time to arrive and scope the place out, girls and enjoy some beers before the club fills up. Don't select because the better ladies arrive soon after the guys.
