For those who have tried both, what's your take on the differences between Rio and SP girls? Having spent a month here, there seems to be an undercurrent of coldness to the girls I've met. I went to a Vivio store in Sao Paulo and they don't sell prepaid there.

I chip in regarding TIM versus Vivo. If you only stay in Rio both will work fine. In some areas, like comunidades, TIM works much better. If you travel around Brazil the difference between TIM and Vivo can be very significant. I always use TIM, mainly because I like their priceworthy offers. BTW, no need to go to Central to buy a sim card. Just go to a Lojas Americanas or buy it in a kiosk.
