I'm sure some of our ISG Sao Paulo brethren might disagree. I think your statement is more true if you're thinking about packaging a nice vacation around your mongering adventure. Then you also get into the issues of the cost of everything in Brasil.

Some of us were trying to advise a young man Gertsch700 on a month long Brasilian trip. I advised him in General Info and PM about the best cities for mongering and vacationing. I hope he reciprocates with posting about his adventure when he returns. He went silent after we gave him a lot of recommendations.

Anecdote: I've had friends of friends contact me and ask me about how to conduct business in Rio. They ask a lot of questions about the scene and hang on my every word. When they come back, they often play coy and suddenly pretend to have had no interest in the scene. Strange, but true. Some men come back and want to pretend that all they did was enjoy the beach.

This is going to be one of the rare times that I have disagreed with you. Only if you like Thai or Asian women! If you don't, then Thailand is never going to be better than Brazil! I'm not all that much into Asian women. The vast majority of them just don't do it for me in the looks department. Nor is their average sexual performance nearly as good. I found too many Thai girls to be just too timid and shy about their bodies. So for me, Brazil is always, always, always going to be better than Thailand (and any other Asian mongering destinations). I am remain committed to Brazil for mongering before any other country in the world.

I can't argue with this-even in the 4. 5 years I've been comin to Rio it has changed.

Rio's gdps are flocking to London. More and more casas are popping up or they are renting houses on their own.

I feel Rio will be more and more about learning portugese to make an impact.

The exact question was: Does anyone know if a Brazilian with an overstayed visa can fly within the US?

My contacts at Homeland Security (which Immigration and TSA fall under) tell me that the requirements for checking IDs in general are "evolving. " There was a phased implementation schedule for the Real ID program but that schedule has been in a state of flux (delayed). This impacts US Citizens using driver's licenses and ID cards to travel through airports. So, depending on the state that issued your ID and the airport checking the ID you may be handled differently. The reason this was brought up to me was to say in a politically correct way, if we can't standardize travel for our own citizens how do you think we are doing with other countries? I was told that right now TSA Agents are not required to check visas but that can always change. Tomorrow. And, it does not mean a particular agent will not check just because he wants to spend a little more time looking over a hot Brazilian (my comment, not Homeland's). So, the safest answer is if you are a Brazilian traveling by air within the US with an expired visa, make sure you have everything with you in case you get deported. Of course, it could be shipped to you (good luck with that).

BTW, Canada, under the authority of Her Majesty the Queen (because she wears really cool hats) implemented a cheap Electronic Travel Authorization system for Brazilians who hold US Visas and are travelling by air. Used to be they had to have a separate visa.

I knew a former Help girl who lived illegally in Las Vegas for 13 years. I was shocked when I looked at her facebook and saw that she was able to travel all over the US by using her Brazilian passport. She never had a problem at the airport even though her tourist visa had expired almost a decade earlier. The only catch was she could never leave America or else she would not be let back into the states. (She went back to brasil earlier this year).

Fast forward to today. I have a friend who has been here for 7 months. (her tourist visa is good for a 6 month visit). She is afraid to fly because the brazilians in her community said that now the officers at the airport check your visa status and if you overstay, they may take you into custody.

Does anyone know if this is true? Are they checking people's visas at the airport for local flights?

I've been living / working in the SP area for almost 3 yrs. Before I moved I made arrangements with my neighbour to manage my rental properties in Washington, DC. I'll call periodically to stay abreast of property management issues. One particular call she was telling me that ICE* were literally patrolling the streets of my former neighbourhood looking for undocumented aliens. My neighbourhood has a high immigrant population, mostly Hispanic, African, & Arab. I would say that your friend with the expired visa has more to worry about with maybe a random traffic stop in non-immigrant friendly jurisdictions or a random encounter with ICE than air travel arrangements.

Unlike other countries, the US does not require a passport for foreigners or national ID for citizens to be input when booking a domestic flight. As long as she has a valid passport from any country or US State ID then she will be okay. I was going to marry a Brazilian chick that was illegal in New York. Same tourist visa overstay situation that you are describing. She also had a Massachusetts driver's license and was able to visit me in Atlanta several times. We did not make it happen because I wanted half the money before the wedding and half after. She wanted to give me half the money before the wedding and half after she got her permanent papers. She ended up marrying a Brazilian guy that had US citizenship.

Traveling within the US should not be a problem, as the government rarely is going to check someone visa status if they are for example traveling from NewYork to California. Now if she is going to travel internationally then its going to be a problem. Also take what I say with a grain of salt, Right now we have mass shootings so the Feds might start looking into peoples backgrounds when they travel and we also have Donald Trump in Office so who knows, especially when it comes to immigrants.

Brazilian girls actually love sex. However, the P4P scene have declined significantly which is bad for people like us.

Brazil is still alive and well, But if you just want the old Brazil which was the point and click, your options are very limited now, The reason why the P4P scene is on the decline is that there are not a lot of foreigners that are visiting Brazil for mongering like they use too, Its not like the 90's or the early 2000's, So since they are hardly any tourist that come specifically for mongering. The Girls that use to come from all over Brazil to club help, don't bother coming to Copacabana. There is no real money. So its not worth the plane or bus ticket to go to Copacabana. Brazil is in a financial crisis best believe if you had a lot of guys coming to Brazil like they use to come in the late 90's, You will see a lot of girls coming to Copacabana.

Even in the termas the quality is also on the decline because again there are hardly any tourist that come to Brazil and also a lot of local Brazilians due to the crisis are not spending money in the termas like they use too. Termas use to have tourist to pick up the slack, but its all drying up. But again you just have to adapt. You have to get out of the sandbox, Try learning Portuguese, Learning the Language. Will open up so many doors. Also what I like to do, If your lazy like me. I have a Brazilian chick that I am friends with. I have to be honest. DR can never beat Rio in this century regardless of the current shitty p4 p Rio scene. Brazilian girls actually love sex.
