We went to Vila Mimosa. SUPER SUPER SUPER CHEAP and VERY VERY VERY VERY sketchy. Don't go alone and go during the day. Like 20 usd you are good there. Some diamonds in the rough. But very very very scary hahah.

What do you find sketchy and scary about VM? I go alone all the time and at night. I get off the bus and walk the couple of blocks there then when I finish about midnight or 1 am, I walk back to the bus stop. 13 years of that and I have never had a problem. I have never been there during the day. Sure the place is run down but I don't find that to be scary. I just see people having a good time.

Just got back from a trip from rio. We stayed in copacabana. IT was super nice and fun. The coffee shop Mabs had lots of talent for take home around 100 usd give or take. There is a strip bar right around corner that was about 120 but everything happened there. We went to Centarus. It sucked. High pressure and hardened pros. We had a KILLER time at Monte carlo which is walking distance from MABS. It was about 120 out the door and way more chill atmosphere. Plus after you spend 1000 Reals you get an entrance fee for free which is about 30 usd worth. Manager and owner was very nice and helpful. If you leave monte carlo and make a left then a left at the first street right before the patio restaurant there is a small door that leads upstairs for a cheap bar with talent. Only one or two I would of hooked up with but we passed. The area is rich in talent but some appear to be pros. The streets at night are sketchy but if you are with a few people you are good. T65.

Had seen a recent post talking about reasonable talent. Not so in my book. Lots of mid-range chubbies and older, been-whoring-for-4+-years types. It's such a shame because this place used to rock.

Entrada BRL 90, water BRL 8. As noted below they have a Christmas-time promo that they waive the entrada if you take a girl. Prices as discussed below.

I really used to love this place -- plus the set-up is still nice, OK showers, great steam room, and I love the boate. It's like a nice version of MC's boate.

They just aren't getting good talent. Or they were all occupied in the 1 HR+ I stayed there.

Cancun.

BRL 70 entrada that seemed to include at least 1 water as consumption. Was literally wall-to-wall with guys. Maybe 5 guys for every girl. Might be a mid-week pre-Christmas thing in Centro.

Not a great selection either. Ran into some more 4+ years GDPs. Nothing like the slimmer, younger crowd I used to find here.

I told her I was dry -- that everyone wants to suck the gringo's blood at Christmas -- and she still seemed pissed. LOL.

Frankly my sense is that the privees still have the best talent for young, slimmer, fresher chicks. Wish I had time to hit 'them.

P.S. There is a truly awesome video clip circulating in Brazil now -- go to youtube and look for "fabiola marido" -- some guy's best friend was caught in the act leaving a sex motel with the guy's wife -- the guy caught him on film. Beats up the wife, breaks windows in the best friend's car.

Cartman, I felt the same way about 65. I tried to give it a chance after not going for about 10 years or so and was very disappointed. There were about 20 garotas and maybe 2 that were doable to me, but they had dudes hanging onto them the whole time I was there. I didn't want to criticize the talent in my last post, because I thought it was just me, but I see I'm not the only onewho felt that way. A buddy of mine keeps ranting and raving about the place and talked me into checking it out again.

Also I was very disappointed when I ordered my water since I don't drink and was given a plastic cup type container like the ones that yogurt comes in. I notice a lot of the termas are cutting down on the size of the water bottles, while the price continue to increase, but what they gave me at 65 was ridiculous.

Didn't make it to Cancun and haven't been there in years, it's one of those places that never did it for me, although the facilities were nice. I have been there a few times in the past since they first opened.

Checked out 507 last Friday and I noticed the talent was definitely lacking, but I got there too early (about 5 pm or so) because there wasn't a lot of girls and barely any guys as they do usually. For those who remember or liked the blondie Vanessa who worked Solarium for a long time back in the days and more recently 4 x4, she is now at 507 and still takes it in the see you, according to her sales pitch to me, which I declined. Not as hot looking as she was when I did her a couple of times in 2002 or 03.

4 x4 was the only place that I noticed that was going full swing with the Christmas tip requests. They were asking for tips at every turn. And would add it to the bill and have you sign for it. I guess management is making an exception for the holidays there. Like I said I gave in one day being in the holiday spirit, but almost never tip anyone there unless I felt they deserve it, which was rare. I remember the old black tia Silvia who I always used to tip at 4 x4, until she became sour at the end. She was always cool, but later became grouchy. I guess the work started getting to her, I don't know. Hope she is doing good. Anyone know what happened to her or how she's doing these days?

FWIW, I thought T65 sucked. I went in for 20 minutes to see the place. I found one girl who was fairly hot, and got her number. My usual interview now is where do you live? Do you have kids? Thanks again for the info. I called them to confirm too and that's correct. I can't believe that we got played like that, LOL. In all the years going to Rio I've never had anyone take me anywhere since my first trip, other than other mongers. I knew of the finders fee for new clients but didn't know that they tack it on to your bill even after you return to the spot.

I spoke to the Egytian guy again while I was in the area and he admitted he gets commission everytime he accompanies someone inside, but insisted the $250 reais for 60 minutes and $200 for 30 reais was the regular price.

There's this other guy who's always on Atlantico, trying to take guys to Monte Carlo and the copa massage spots. He will ask you for $50 reais each to take you on a "sex tour". I spoke to him once about this so called "sex tour" as he calls it and it was all the spots that I aready knew about. Avoid that guy. His name is Alex. He admitted he also gets a fee if you end up going into the spots and paying. That guy must have hit me up like 3 times this time around and each time it was like I never spoke to him before.

Outside of that scam and the exam room beds, based on the talent only, I would say 66 is worth a visit. Just stay away from the Egytian guy, LOL. When I first went there I was expecting a dive with subpar garotas, but was pleasantly surprised at the high number of girls on staff and that they were mostly beauties among them.

I heard that you shouldn't go with any girls on the streets and just go with the ones in the clubs or hotels because they are for sure of legal age. And I heard that if you do go with street walkers, it's at your own risk. Some will trick you and then take you to a room where their pimps are and threaten to take you to jail if you don't pay up. I have been living in Rio for almost a month now, and although I have seen alot. There is still alot I have not seen. First and foremost, take taxis everywhere after dark even if it's only a few blocks. Getting robbed here is like a Rite of Passage. I have witnessed two robberies so far, one with a pistol. The beaches are not safe to walk on after dark, especially near Princess Isabel. I was surrounded once by five putas who attempted to pick pocket me, not far from Mabs.

My personal favorite spots are the Termas. You put on your Hugh Hefner robe, and the women make you feel like Brad Pitt. 4 x4 and Centaurus are the two best, and I have been to just about all of them many times now. The massage parlors are much cheaper, but its more of a hit and run scene instead of having a drink, and chatting / groping a bit before the final act. I ran into one girl I met at Terma 65 at a massage parlor in Copa. In other words, the girls change venues often, and one place may suck today, and be the best next week.

I have found the online escorts to be fun. Alot of them are sweet, non pro type. The websites are in Portuguese of course.

I have been to many of the Night Clubs also. Barberella is by far the best, hands down. The woman are all 8 to 10's, but they are asking for 600 real for one hour. Some are negotiable, the hottest ones arent. They want 1000 real for toda noche. Trust me, skip Casablanca, dolce dita, and the others. For now at least.

Mabs is not my style either. Its fun to shoot the shit with other mongers and watch NFL or UFC, but the girls are severely lacking for me. They are shooting themselves in the foot for not being explicit on the pricing table you basically have to infer it is waived. Almost like they do not want people (at least non-Portuguese speakers) to be aware of the promotion.

Fair point. Although if you didn't take a girl how can you expect the 90 entrada to be waived? I was there Monday and last Thursday and on both occasions did not pay the fee.

Have really enjoyed reading all your reports on your experiences there as well.

Seems like you already have experience pretty much the best Rio has to offer. Some of my best experiences have come from venturing off the beaten path.

Might I suggest you ask a taxi to take you to:

Vidigal, Vila Cruzeiro or Complexo de Alemo.

Once there, just say to any of the friendly locals: Eu estou aqui para foder suas mulheres.

I am sure you will have more than you handle in no time. And, cheap. They love gringos in those areas.

Just as you did in So Paulo, be sure to tell us how it goes.

I hope you recognize the sarcasm and don't actually take his advice. It will not end well for you if you do.

Termas 4 x4 seems perfect for you and you also might want to try termas 65. Please don't forget to post your report. Most of us already know these termas but a newbie POV is always useful for other newbies.

Sorry I'm a newbie. Spent 5 days in Sao Paulo and had an amazing time. ABG's intel was spot on.

Now I'm in Rio and not sure what to do. Went to the massages on Friday, but it was pretty seedy and the quality was meh. Walking into a shower with 1 inch of still water is not cool. Planning to go to 4 x 4 tomorrow. Centaurus and Solarium are out of my budget. Tried MABS and Barbarella and Casa Blanca, but prices were sky high and seemed like more of a hustle job than great service. Looked at the independents online, but everyone is quoting +$400 R, and they won't negotiate.
