I'm going to Rio soon but I don't speak any Portuguese. I speak English and a little bit Spanish. I heard there were a few girls in Rio from other countries in south america. How widely is spanish spooken by the working girls? Do you recommend me to learn portuguese or improve my spanish to be able to have conversations with the girls? Thanks!

It's NOT. I've been going to Rio since 2001. Never heard a GDP talk Spanish. I'm a fluent in Spanish. When I first went, the girls understood what I was saying in Spanish, I could Not understand them. Yes, Learn some Portuguese. You'll be OK with English though.

My conversation with her happened just days after 4 x4 burned down. She had no way of knowing ahead of times of the fire. Is it possible that she maybe be just a little stressed out about the fact that her workplace she's been working at for however long was completely destroyed 4 days ago and now she has no source of income?

Never met a garota de programma who didn't have a plan. Summer of '06 spent June, July & August in Rio. Casually mentioned to GDP how long I'd be there. We hung out everyday, took side trips to Cabo Frio, Paraty, Arraial do Cabo, Salvador, Buenos Aires & Foz do Iguacu. She had each day planned in advance, the night before we'd go over the itinerary like we were planning an invasion. It was like a Travelocity Hotel & Airfare plus all the pussy you can eat vacation package. Chick could of been a professional travel agent / event planner. Did the math later, what she charged me was equal to double her hourly rate per day. Thinking she came out ahead based on volume & perks like meals, sightseeing & gifts! Funny, got back to Rio for Natal / Ano Novo, her homegirl told me she retired and returned back home to Londrina! LOL!

The girl you mentioned seemed very organized and meticulous. But she is just one of the thousands upon thousands of GPS out there. Are you telling every single of them is like her? I get where Mr E is coming from. But remember, my conversation with her occurred just days after the fire. She had no way of knowing that 4 x 4 was going to burn down on Friday so therefore she couldn't of planned ahead of time. You and your girl being on vacation knew why'all wanted to go sightseeing so she had time in advance to plan the itinerary. Think of it in another way, each year there are millions of travelers / vacationers, some will plan their itinerary down to every little minute detail way ahead of times before the start of their vacation (I am one of those people). Others, whether it is due to laziness or a free spirited heart, will go through their vacation without any planning ahead of times.

No doubt the loss of 4 x 4 is a blow to Rio's mongering scene but it will not impact me too much. Although the girls there were consistently some of the best looking in Centro Rio, the cost to value ratio is much higher than other venues in the area. For the price of a 30 minute session in 4 x 4, I could go to the many casas in Centro and Copacabana and have two one hour sessions. Some guys may argue that they go to 4 x 4 not only for the girls but also for its party like atmosphere. That may will be the case for some of you but I don't drink or smoke so that's not important to me. I'm a simple guy and much prefer the quick in and out places. There are several cheap clubs in Centro where the setup it much simpler than 4 x 4. The girls working there were mostly average looking but I have found some great fucks there. I do most of damage during the day in the casas anyways where its simple and easy.

That say, I do hope 4 x 4 will be rebuilt. At least then the rooms will be new and on par with the price 4 x 4 charges. It will be interesting to see what the 4 x 4 girls do. Maybe they will scatter around the other top tier termas or maybe even the casas.

It's closed on Saturdays, as are most Centro termas. Monte Carlo, Solarium, and probably Centaurus are open on Saturday. All termas are closed on Sunday.

Sorry for resurrecting an an old thread, but I'd appreciate some advice on the options available for an arrival on a Sunday in a couple of weeks. Back in the day I think Solarium used to be open on Sundays, but I guess that's no longer the case (or my memory is just failing). Any tips on the best places to be looking on a Sunday afternoon or evening? Thanks.

I think they will open again but you should wait. You can go to Cancun that's also a good terma. Two other places in centro are also good (t65 and 502).
